One procedure we do in the real world is FEE Fuel Eng and Elec pages set up from the EICAS. They are set on DU2 DU3 and DU4 respectively. Helps us look at all the parameters when we start the real aircraft.
This is a wonderful tutorial. Practice makes permanent and so your tutorials help me practice the correct procedures. Along with the next tutorial on taxi and takeoff, as well as the Cirrus SR22 tutorials and corresponding checklists, they go a long way toward helping me master enough of the basics to fly the more complex airplanes provided in XP12 and begin to really learn what's going on with them in the air. My goal this year is to fly everything in my hangar, and the tutorials and checklists are an essential part of that for me to get far enough up the learning curve to accomplish my goal. I will say that the FMC section of this video is one I've had to go over again and again in stop action to make sense of, but I understand it can't be the central focus of the tutorial. Maybe a separate video just on the FMC for those of us who are just graduating from using the G1000 thanks to Philipp Ringler's wonderful videos of 4 years ago. Thanks for the help and keep them coming.
After watching your videos and doing a similar type flight, SID directly into an approach, and removing any Vectors, Disconts etc, the aircraft went into vector mode at the end of the SID and did not got to the next waypoint which was the beginning of the APP. I then initiated a Direct to WPT for the first of the ILS APP fine. Then the aircraft intercepted the LOC fine but would not grab the GS. APP mode was selected. Obviously I missed something simple but have yet to identify what. Thanks for these CX videos - this aircraft is very good and a real pleasant surprise for an oem, no charge, included aircraft.
sounds as if the aircraft was far above/below glideslope. approach mode will capture both localizer and glideslope for an ILS once either of the respective needles starts to come in. If you were possibly late with it, it would never capture the glidesope. Could have been it?
Since XPlane 12.07 when on Init Performace page 5. When you copy fuel LSK2 and input it. You get the invalid entry message. This also happens if you manually input numbers on LSK2. Also you can't input initial altitude on Init Performance page 4. you get the cruise wind at that altitude, and you can't manually input a cruise altitude
I love this sim, but I am an old man, not sure I can master this X-Plane 12, do pretty good on 11, but your video is amazing, can't believe the detail here!😅
The user interface in X-Plane 12 is very very similar to X-Plane 11. It just drives a significantly more beautiful/accurate/powerful simulator. Give it a try for free! x-plane.com/try-it
Amazing!!! Well... I do cold&dark and do IFR fly on Boeing 737-800, but now I will need to learning in these!! Thanks!!! Now I can start and love that aircraft ! The diferences on the FMS is crazy, but ok! The LNM make the FPL step more easy! TKS!!
Loving explain 12. Although, are there any better resources on learning how to do flight plans in the FMC? It’s very difficult when there are 8 million videos on TH-cam to sift through and not really any official training as far as sids and stars etc. thank you!!
can you guys do a video on the a330 startup procedure? Mabye even explain what all of the buttons do? There arent many videos online that explains the a330. Its always "real 737 pilot" or "real a320 pilot". I really want to learn the systems and procedures to the a330!!!
I don’t know why but when im taking off and im in the air it keeps forcing me to pull up and im pulling down but it still keeps pulling up how do you fix this?
Hi, I have flown XP11 for a long while. Now with XP12 I have a big prroblem: I have intstalled the simulator but the aircraft does not move! I applied full thortlle in case of A330 all looks normal, I release the brake but the plane does not move. Do you know why? It keep static. Thanks in advance for your support.
Hi my friend, really nice video!!. Any news about the "bank angle" callout bug when autopilot is on? Obviously when AP is engaged the airplane should never exceed the bank angle no matter how tight the angle of the magenta curve is, but in the latest XP12 version this issue is still there.
The margin between the 30 deg max bank and the callout is very small - you can select the "bank" mode on the autopilot to avoid triggering it when it is turbulent.
@@janvogel9719 sorry but i doubt this work in that mode in the real life counterpart taking account the autopilot/flight director are in command so they should never exceed the bank angle in normal conditions
First of all, thanks for this amazing video. but I have a problem with the fms. At the Performance Init 4/5 page, I try to type in the flight level and I get a "unable crz altitude" massage. what am I doing wrong?
Us realworld X pilots keep the APU up until passing 10,000 feet. More of a generator issue. We want the extra gen in case of engine failure. However, yes, you want the apu on as well, as a crossbleed eng start is not as good off a start than an APU start.
@@myZisfantastic This should be part of base simulator for 2 reasons: 1) This is the correct behavior, not having the ability re-adjust your sitting position in reality is more a anomaly or missing functionality 2) Why would I need to install plugins for features that should be base functionality. Additionally, the XCamera UI is not well designed. It just 100s of buttons on a single screen, Bad UI design - unless they re-designed the UI now.
There are more than 400 million of us whose language is Spanish. X palne addresses the world. It would be a deference if your videos were at least subtitled in Spanish. People of a certain age do not know English (in my study plans it was French) if you add to this that tutorials in Spanish (Ibero-American or Spanish) are few and with the distortion of having translated them from English is a handicap that stops you from buying pay planes (Google translator)
Would help if you specified your system specs and what settings you are using. For me it's OK with a single screen. But triple screen no longer possible with my hardware unless dropping settings a lot.
"normally I fly bigger aeroplanes", true german modesty! awesome production Jan, as always, thanks!

Merci Jano , very clear as always , no doubt the Citation X has become my favorite plane in XP12

Thanks for the nice words - yes, the FMS is definitely complex and a dedicated tutorial might be in order!
I also love it. Just make the holding work and it will be absolutely 😍

Just fell in love when you mentioned leaving from Torino ❤
Love that aircraft! Really thrilled you guys have included it so well in the new release. I am really looking forward to it.

Very very good explanation, especially the fact that you used graphics and zoom.
I’m buying the Cessna citation md-90 737 747 and a membership for all airports only so thanks for the help bro
Yes, very Beautiful aircraft. Love it. Flight it on xplane-12. Thanks for this video.
Why in my version for XP12 can not get to the door and open/close it?
Best tutorial!
I just wonder when does it x plane 12 not have early acsess
Thank you. Can we also get a pdf checklist based on this video?
would be nice to add that second window to see outside and inside of the plane at the same time
Great. Just what I was looking for. I would like to know where and how you get the pictuer-in-picture.? I miss that from the old MSFS. Thanks.
The PiP is just a video editing function, not default X-Plane. Glad you enjoyed the video!
how do you spawn the passengers? Do you use any plugins
Thanks for tutorial, could you tell me how do you get de second display or screen at this sim=? Tks, Regards. Nice and usefull tut.

I can’t enter the destination airport in fmc shows out of date
Magic Jan! Excellent tutorial. Grateful thanks.
Excellent job. Thank you for this
What for is this "Cabin master" switch on the right side of the cockpit?
thank for this video / great for your work Eric
I can’t enter any letter in my fms it shows “not in database”
I don’t know why but when im taking off and im in the air it keeps forcing me to pull up and im pulling down but it still keeps pulling up how do you fix this?
nose trim?
when i try to enter the fuel it keeps saying "invalid entry"
Excelente. Muito obrigado pelo vídeo.
a very complex aircraft it takes time to learning it

When I enter 390 in the Init crz alt it does not populate entering 12791 (gauge) in fuel also doesnt populate. Any tips?
Select more fuel for the plane
How do you enter a hold or a direct to WPT in this FMS? Thanks!
Thanka a lot Jan!
1:38 Crew is fine?, they only weigh 140 lbs each .. I would say, not fine :-)
Anybody having issues with the fmc saying invalid entry when you go to copy the fuel weight in the scratch pad?
First you must complete the route in the flight plan otherwise it will not accept fuel input. Regards
Hello, it doesn’t allow me to put the route in. Simply I can’t type anything it shows “not in database” please help asap
I've actually found that I just need to download the flight plan from simbrief, quick fix.
@@Dev_bhog You're likely using an out of date airac cycle, I usually just go on skyvector and find a similar route

I had a similar problem too. Maybe you could try selecting more fuel for the airplane
where the button to set the -6 stab?
in the 11:56 minute
Turned on stand by power. Entire pc crashed. Thanks! :)
don’t u gotta turn off the apu?
The POH recommends to keep it running for the initial climb - it can help with restarting an engine if it flames out.

GPU ?
How about the Xplane feature where you have track IR enabled and want to adjust your position using cursor keys?😂🤣😅
Just use XCamera!

Where is my FPS, Austin ? And real time weather ?
I have a bit less of FPS than XP11 (but I also have an old PC now) but real time weather does work fine with me
Your plugins have eaten them 😂
Would help if you specified your system specs and what settings you are using. For me it's OK with a single screen. But triple screen no longer possible with my hardware unless dropping settings a lot.
Just turn off AA and lower your rendering distance and your fps will be good
Sir, this is a Wendys.
