So does she open the online account (currently holding pr) or her husband (principal applicant) have to open the online account to submit the application?

Now I have applied for spousal visa under family class online in December. I have heard no update after approval of my sponsorship their AOR and medical in February 2023 My question is -to know about the situation of their application I tried linking it to my Gic account but everytime I try, it says no application found on basis of information provided.though i tried various combinations to fill in .what should I do ? 2. Should I create another gic account for wife and link it to that account. 3.or raise a webform informing my inability to link application to my account . TIA for valuable comments
1. Try PR tracker. GC key is not very reliable, Dont worry about it. All updates will come to your email. So you will not miss anything by not linking. 2. Not needed at all 3. You can try, but very unlikely it will help. Like I said, give it time, and dont worry about these trackers. Medical in February is still very early. You are under a normal timeline. Nothing odd here.
HI, can you please make a video on what to upload on PR portal under Select your document type and upload it? as there are various options and its hard to undertsnad....like under identity information do we scan all documents (birth certificate, passport/adhaar and marriage certificate all in 1 pdf and upload or can we add seperate by naming them as Last Name - First Name - Document type - # ; by selecting again and again identity and civil status documents and uploading each with seperate names?

Yes. I am confused too. I am calling IRCC today to confirm this. Will make a video after that. For now, print out, Sign, scan and upload the 1344, 5532 and 1283 even if you are applying online. its the safer option in my opinion

I've started filling the spousal PR for my wife through online and I've some questions in the online portal drop down section to upload supporting documents. So, What types of document will go inside the dropdown. Ex:-- both of ours Passport will go in travel document and passport, and Marriage and Birth Certificate of my spouse in Identity and civil status. I've Hindi Birth certificate of my wife with translation. But if Birth certificate will go in Identity dropdown, Should I upload affidavit and translation in other dropdown that is mentioned in the list. What about my employment, and other supporting documents like explanation of events of form IMM532 Q9, Will it go to Other dropdown or Letter of explanation dropdown. Can you make a video or do you have any pdf explaining this. For PNP and Quebec skilled workers, I found the checklist IMM5690, but didn't find any any similar checklist for spousal PR explaining the document to upload in which dropdown.

Hey, your video's are crystal clear and so helpful. I have one question. For spousal application, I have a Police clearance certificate (PCC) issued in April 2021, Can I apply for PR using that PCC or is there any validity?
I think PCC is valid for six months. Check the expiry date on your certificate to be sure. It could be an issue if you apply using an expired police clearance certificate

Though i prepared the paper application which i was about to submit by 10 of october 2021 but after checking your video , i am so much convinced that from today i shall start the process on making an online application but will try to submit by the date decided. I am applying for family class spousal pr living outside canada . I have few doubts regarding 1. the language proficiency docx which while watching the video i saw in the list of supporting docx scroll bar so do i need to appear for ielts exam. 2. While posting the wedding photos , actually i have written only 2-3 lines for description at the bottom of the occasion (photos) Will that work or should i attach in even more detail word document with every photo. 3. is there any limitation to the number of attachments like if i want to attach 4-5 testimonials will i be able to do that? I am glad the video inspired you to switch to the online application. 1. if you are being sponsored by your spouse for permanent residence, then you don’t need to submit language proficiency. 2. I just posted a video on proof of relationship documents. Check out that video and you will know how to attach photos 3. it should not be a problem. Just make sure that when you do attach the testimonials in Word document or PDF format, the file size limit doesn’t exceed the limit allowed on the portal. I believe it’s 4 MB

As long as your spouse is living with you in canada under the same roof, you are good with spouse or common law partner class. dependent kids location does not matter

if the children are not dependent, then you might have to do separately. if they are dependent, then you can add them as dependents in spouse application. Look up "who is a dependent" on the cic website for details

the sponsorship and the PR application are all part of one application the "SPONSORSHIP FOR PR APPLICATION". there is just one application. You dont have to do them separately. Go to guide 5289(linked in my video desc) it will tell you all forms you must submit under one application. ONE single application for PR covers the sponsor part also. can be done online or on paper

there is an upload documents section in the portal when you are inside your application. all the way down. there you can upload pictures and all supporting documents

The response time for web forms is usually pretty horrible So can’t really give you an estimate of how long it will take but at this point that’s the best thing you can do, raise the web form and let them know of the important changes

That has been reported to be a recent issue by a lot of people. try to troubleshoot, see if you missed any forms(or information inside digital forms) or payment receipt, or consent section. check all document sizes and see if they are within the limit. may be use shorter names. as a final attempt, try starting a fresh application and see if it works. if after all that it does not work, contact IRCC and let them know its a technical bug.

Yes. as a canadian citizen, your wife can sponsor you. But you will have to prove that she has plans to live in canada with you soon. look into the instructions guide i shared in desc links for more details.

Yes the online portal is experiencing some technical issues. Try the following and see if they work for you You can check for these 4 things 1) all your mandatory pdf forms are uploaded all digital forms are complete( you didn’t leave mandatory fields blank in any of the digital forms) 2) typed PAs name in consent 3) uploaded receipt of payment 4) try a different browser

Yes, whether sponsor is citizen or PR, the application has to be done via the portal.

Yes, and they, the principal applicant, should be the one creating the account and starting the application, not the sponsor

This form is to be filled by the person who is applying as dependent, so in the first field we have to give the name of person who is to be sponsored, right ???

Hey, your video's are crystal clear and so helpful. I have one question. For spousal application, I have a Police clearance certificate (PCC) issued in April 2021, Can I apply for PR using that PCC or is there any validity?
I think PCC is valid for six months. Check the expiry date on your certificate to be sure. It could be an issue if you apply using an expired police clearance certificate
@@HitSubmitCanada Thanks for the reply. The report I get doesn't have any expiry date. To get a new certificate, it will take another 2 months at least. Do you think it will be an issue if it is expired or is it uploading the new document (if I get a query).

Though i prepared the paper application which i was about to submit by 10 of october 2021 but after checking your video , i am so much convinced that from today i shall start the process on making an online application but will try to submit by the date decided. I am applying for family class spousal pr living outside canada . I have few doubts regarding 1. the language proficiency docx which while watching the video i saw in the list of supporting docx scroll bar so do i need to appear for ielts exam. 2. While posting the wedding photos , actually i have written only 2-3 lines for description at the bottom of the occasion (photos) Will that work or should i attach in even more detail word document with every photo. 3. is there any limitation to the number of attachments like if i want to attach 4-5 testimonials will i be able to do that? 1. if you are being sponsored by your spouse for permanent residence, then you don’t need to submit language proficiency.
2. I just posted a video on proof of relationship documents. Check out that video and you will know how to attach photos
3. it should not be a problem. Just make sure that when you do attach the testimonials in Word document or PDF format, the file size limit doesn’t exceed the limit allowed on the portal. I believe it’s 4 MB

As long as your spouse is living with you in canada under the same roof, you are good with spouse or common law partner class. dependent kids location does not matter

if the children are not dependent, then you might have to do separately. if they are dependent, then you can add them as dependents in spouse application. Look up "who is a dependent" on the cic website for details

the sponsorship and the PR application are all part of one application the "SPONSORSHIP FOR PR APPLICATION". there is just one application. You dont have to do them separately. Go to guide 5289(linked in my video desc) it will tell you all forms you must submit under one application. ONE single application for PR covers the sponsor part also. can be done online or on paper

You dont have to update the passport.
You will need PCC from all countries other than canada where you have lived 6 months or more since you were 18

there is an upload documents section in the portal when you are inside your application. all the way down. there you can upload pictures and all supporting documents

The response time for web forms is usually pretty horrible So can’t really give you an estimate of how long it will take
but at this point that’s the best thing you can do, raise the web form and let them know of the important changes

That has been reported to be a recent issue by a lot of people. try to troubleshoot, see if you missed any forms(or information inside digital forms) or payment receipt, or consent section. check all document sizes and see if they are within the limit. may be use shorter names. as a final attempt, try starting a fresh application and see if it works. if after all that it does not work, contact IRCC and let them know its a technical bug.

Yes. as a canadian citizen, your wife can sponsor you. But you will have to prove that she has plans to live in canada with you soon. look into the instructions guide i shared in desc links for more details.

Yes the online portal is experiencing some technical issues. Try the following and see if they work for you
You can check for these 4 things
1) all your mandatory pdf forms are uploaded all digital forms are complete( you didn’t leave mandatory fields blank in any of the digital forms)
2) typed PAs name in consent
3) uploaded receipt of payment
4) try a different browser
