Apollo thank you for not giving up hope on warhammer :). Please keep uploading great replays like this. Oh and also when they do finally combined the 2 games would you be willing to help recreate a war from the lore of warhammer fantasy? If you need a lot of information on this war I am about to mention ask milk and cookies he can tell you in great detail since I am bad at explaining it. But I was to recreate a multiplayer battle of the war of the beard or the war of vengeance depending on which side you see it as. It was a war between the high elves and the dwarfs. It took place a little after the elves civil war. Keep up the great work apollo. If you need to contact me I am on your discord with the same name :)
IcedBroom is warhammer based of a book??
Yes and no. There are many books based on warhammer both fantasy and 40k. Fantasy is how you see it in this video taking place in like a medieval-ish era. 40k taking place in the far dark grim future where there is only war. It is mainly based around the table top versions of the game mainly more then the books, but I can't be sure of that. If you want really detailed information I would strongly suggest you ask this guy. th-cam.com/users/milkandcookiesTW He can give you far more information then I can on it :) . But if you are looking to start playing in fantasy warhammer I would strongly recommend the empire due to them being a all round faction rather then just excelling in one area :) .

Nice to see the skaven win one! It was looking like they might be one of the weaker races.
If you keep your ranged units or artillery on defensive they won't chase when a unit moves out of range, they'll just pick a new target in range.

They tried using "British Standard Time" once but dropped it. We function on Greenwich Mean Time which goes forward one hour in Summer giving us British Summer Time.

I really like that Total War captured the way Tabletop played. Skaven used to be a "Bring warp cannons and a ton of infantry and hold the bad guys in place."

Ah, the classic skaven strategy of sending chaff into battle and then exploding the. Rap out of both sides. The Horned Rat approves.
I Pixi! Amazing Battle!! Not sure if you know, you can switch units to defense mode (the shield under the unit cards). It basically tells the unit to stand their ground so if the unit they are targeting routs, then they don't follow
I don't think that JackieFish would throw his Hydra away like that, I'm pretty sure he did that to distract you, and it worked ! He's playing hard now !

I think the most important thing with skaven is to keep cycling back those rallied units. The whole Skaven moral mechanic is going to get some getting used to because we aren't used to units constantly breaking and regrouping. After the initial clash, Skaven units are going to start breaking, especially against the dark elves, and you will need to constantly feed the front lines with new troops. For example, if you lead the charge with a slave or clan rat vanguard against bleakswords you would need to keep a line of stormvermin in the back so that when your front line inevitably breaks you can charge in the storm vermin and hold the line until your broken units come back. Meanwhile, your stormvermin might be evenly matched and the influx of clanrats might tip that balance in your favor. It's an almost roman type tactic of cycling the front line that happens involuntarily.

Y'know Pix, this could actually be a prologue for your other video, the Battle of the Ember Glades. The Dark Elves attacked the Skaven, and so that led to them making an alliance with the High Elves.
Jackie should bring ALOT more crossbows to the battle :D

Lol. Pixelated Apollo, you always sound like you're having as much fun as a Grey Seer on a Screaming Bell but erm... BST actually stands for British Summer Time. We flit between BST (GMT+1) in the summer and GMT in the winter. Just thought I would let you know.

Normally I would have been rooting for the dark elves over the skaven cause they're way cooler, but it feels like jackie has been winning way too often vs pixie and I didn't want him to think he is better than the great apollo, so I was rooting for pixie and his little rat army. Good job putting him in his place ;)

CA plans on combining the two maps into one giant map with all playable factions if you have WH 1 and 2. It won't be available right now but they plan on doing it down the line. Maybe after a DLC faction or so. #tombkings

Erm, why didn't Jackiefish have any Crossbows? He would have won the front-line battle quickly if he had exchanged 7 units of Bleakswords/Spears for some Crossbows. I didn't see ONE ranged unit.
