The minute you mentioned the commercials, it came back to me. Also, I'd only heard about The Dark Crystal in the WatchMojo vid about the history of the Muppets, as Jim Henson designed the puppets for both projects, as he did with the movie Labyrinth, which I did see a long ago.

I agreed that the battle end too fast, hence I have Steel Faith and unit formation mod enabled. Steel Faith boost up morals for all units, while the unit formation provide more flavor to the battle but most importantly ensure human factions can handle battle much better. No longer will fking spear/halberd easily crumbled and break formation, expect due to large monsters like dragons, giants, and arachnarok.

The animation is spot on? More like the model and textures,because the animations are actually pretty bad(except the monstrous units,those have good animations),the melee combat between soldiers are too basic,they all just swinging around in the air and slamming at the ground,battle between lords are supposed to be epic,not constant slamming on the ground until one of them dies
Phong Trần Definitely need more kill animations for standard infantry and Lords. So weird seeing my swordsman charge and jump super high in the air and slamming on to the ground- like dude you have a sword and shield not a giant axe

The reason why they made the melee combat so basic is that if they did add in actual animations (such as in Attila) all those hundreds of animations being played out slows the game down significantly. Even if they did add combat animations, it'd be a real pain in the ass to animate as each animation would have to be unique between races. An animation between an Empire swordsman and a Black Orc would look dreadful between a Dwarf and a Black Orc.
"Don't you blink. You might miss the entire battle." It took me 2 minutes to understand that indirect joke and laughed for the entire battle. Damn it CA
i actually really like watching warhammer even if playing the battles is too fast maybe you could do multiple battles in on video like you did that one time?

I just don't understand what Creative Assembly is doing with this game... The actual battle on 1x speed with nearly 5,000 troops would have lasted what, 5 minutes? Look at the battle statistics of Apollo's Units: 4 units 0 kills and 2 units 1 kill, and more than one third of the army remaining at the "end" of the battle. There is no way to even remotely enjoy this battle as a player because of how frantically you would have to micro during the extremely brief encounter. There's a reason that we are more excited to see submods of CA's 10-year old games than multiplayer of Warhammer... Someone has to explain to me what people see in this game.
+Bandit and while Warhammer is over the top its not that comical. Swordsman spinning around like ballerinas? Should be left to elves. From the mere atmosphere I still prefer Mark of Chaos
sfoth91 They have eliminated most of the strategy portion of the game. The monster units are routing nearly full units with 0 kills, and receive no punishment for blindly charging halberdiers with no support.
sfoth91 M2TW was only ever a grind if you were fighting battles with single choke points. Open field battles were closer to a chess match, where you would position your units to attack and counter. It's like going from playing chess to pretty checkers to get broader appeal from people who don't want to have to think.

PA I would suggest you try some of the mods to make the combat better. I had the same feeling toward this game but the mods helped it out quite a bit.
