I have thought of this aswell, and indeed on how to implement it!. Here was my take on it: A Mana-potion has 1d4 effect. ~ max. “4x lvl 1 spell” or “1x lvl 3 spell + 1x lvl 1 spell”. - combine it how you see fit. Further more. you can drink more than one mana potion a day, but when you do, you have to make a CON-check, to see if you vomit (Mana is a potent liquid afterall). If you fail the CON-check roll, roll the 1d4 and deduct that amount of ‘spellpoints’ instead. Example: First mana potion = 1d4 - rolls a 1. Next mana potion. CON-check failed, = 1d4 - rolls a 2. -> in total you lose 1x lvl 1 spell, due to ‘mana-supersensitivity’…
I’m also picturing they wizard is wearing a bandolier ‘potion-belt’ around the chest like Chewbacca! 😄
