My son has EOE an ulcers and wakes up and can't swallow, he's only 11 and this all stemmed from his chocking. He's only 11 years old and struggles everyday .
What I found interesting about the series is that nowhere is a ketogenic diet mentioned. Willie Reyes is shown eating french fries and ketchup. (!) And his disease revolves around inflammation! I think this is highly irresponsible, as was the story about Sadie, who has nearly constant seizures. The original purpose of keto was to stop or at least ameliorate seizures in children. It is malpractice to not recommend a keto diet for these people.
Jeanie Piecara that’s not a diet to treat inflammation since high amounts of animal products actually cause inflammation. Ketogenic diets are used to treat some forms of epilepsy. That’s it. It’s a trendy diet not a cure for serious diseases.
did you not watch the first episode of the girl who's metabolic disease meant she has to eat high carbs and low fat? Keto is not the cure for everything, diff things work for diff people
@@CherryJuli It's not a high amount of animal products, first of all. It's a moderate amount of protein and mostly fat which do not cause inflammation. If you don't know what a keto diet is, maybe you shouldn't comment.
Jeanie Piecara it’s not a moderate amount, it’s high. Eating animal products on the daily is a high consumption. I do know what the keto diet is. I did it years ago before it was cool and trendy to do it. Maybe you should educate yourself on proper and good nutrition because that’s not it. Fats can cause inflammation too, depending on the kind of fat. If it’s animal derived it definitely does plus that also causes high cholesterol.
@@ammar4879 That girl had an extremely rare, weird disease. If feeding her sugar is what works for that disease, fine. But for 99% of the population, high carb/low fat kills people.
