    Loving the color combo and your attention to the detail, I would love to see a build video

    Love how the cable chains were printed on a smooth bed to give them that light reflection when they move around

    I like the table top you made. Is it a torsion box?

    • @PhilBostley
      @PhilBostley  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah. It was a torsion box build from MDF. Rigid enough. Sadly our house burned down so this machine is no more..

    Really nice build, what Stepper Drivers are you using? These are kinda loud. Love the style of the drag chains.

      2209's on a 12v supply. I have them on a 24v supply now and they are much quieter..

      @@PhilBostley Did you print the drag chains or did you purchase them? Those look incredible compared to the bulky ones out there. Any chance you can provide a link to the files or site?

      @@MrBrandon2073 I got the drag chain from here: www.thingiverse.com/thing:4541775
      I made the mounts to connect it to the X and Y gantries.

      @@PhilBostley do you have a link to your mounts as well? I like how it positions the chain under the rail.

      Who cares how loud drivers are? You can't hear them in normal use 😂

    Nice Video, my mpcnc runs not so good. It is really loud and the axis run not snooth. Have you any fact for me to run my cnc smooth like yours?

    • @PhilBostley
      @PhilBostley  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm running Polished 25.4mm 503 Stainless Tube. The previous experiment with conduit was unsatisfactory.
      Also tune your driver current and run the drivers on 24v instead of 12v.

    • @PhilBostley
      @PhilBostley  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Stainless instead of EMT. The drivers are very loud on 12v. I'm running mine on 24v and that quieted them down a bunch.. Also set your currents..

    A im surprised because in my opinion MPCNC is the worst design of cnc, and waist of time. People who are childish will do it, because they like to play with 3D printers plastics. Big boys like to play with girls and make money on the side 👍

    • @jothain
      @jothain ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Now you do realize that it's hobbyist machine? You do realize that big boys CNC machines cost hundreds of thousands? No some shitty few thousand chinese "CNC" really doesn't count. C'mon you gotta, well try to, understand it's hobbyist machine that's made for learning. I work with really expensive packaging equipment as mechanic and still on my free time I'm tinkering with MPCNC project. Why? Cause to learn CNC-code and post-processing. Sure as heck not because machine would be somehow mechanically special, apart being cheap.

      @@jothain no you don't realize, I'm the owner of mpcnc, printnc, avidcnc, Chinese CNC, hurco, and for now on mpCNC is the the worst choice, even my first CNC made of wood and metal profile with bearings, 15 years ago was at least quadruple better than mpcnc junk 😄, there is only waste of time for hobbies with this message machine. For example Way way better is printed NC and you can do it with used parts so easily can be cheaper than mpCNC
