I’ve seen videos from the 90’s before people even had phones. Life looks fun from back then! I hate how whenever I try watching a movie with my best friend, she always just goes on her iPad and says that she’s listening and paying attention to the movie. I always ask her questions about the movie and if she understands it and she just ends up admitting that she wasn’t paying attention. It’s annoying whenever she does this because it happens every single time. Another thing about devices is that I notice a lot of kids spend a lot of time on their phones instead of hanging out and playing with their friends. It’s very unhealthy and it’s one of the reasons why kids become depressed.

I can relate. I'm a senior high schooler and I can't escape feeling empty, my life is getting repetitive and boring since everyone is just studying and sleeping including me. It got me feeling a little depressed and desperate to feel alive but I'm glad I found your video, will try them out

I am 13. I feel life isn’t worth living anymore. My dad is always working, my mom is always mad and my sisters have grown up and don’t do anything fun anymore. I feel like if i continue on i will get depressed.

Bro, you're so young rn. You have a lot of time. Even if you think your parents don't have time for you, the best thing you can do is just talk to them, maybe tell them how you feel. Also the quality of your life depends on the choices you've made. If you want a good life, go outside, go for a run, hangout w friends, go exercise or just do something you enjoy. Hope this helps💪

Hang in there young Ali, you are named after some real lions in history. This feeling, too, shall pass.

When I stopped putting focus on my phone (It fell in the ocean lmao) and stopped watching much tv I started felt so much better after some time of boredom, there also came up emotions I had been trying to ignore... after a while without much internet time I started to enjoy the small things in life ( I also was actively look for them) and I started to become more creative. During that time I was very much alone but I had my family so I just started to try and find some "boring" things to do like reading, going on walks (sometimes without music) and the other things I mentioned before and now I enjoy it!
I recently got a functional phone again and dam it has a hold on me, I see how much it affects my brain, there is never silence in my mind after being on my phone for a while just mindlessly scrolling. Yet I still do fun activities and that has taken the emptiness away.

The less you do the overstimulating activities - the more you appreciate the "boring" things in life as you said. But also keep in mind that the overstimulating things can vary - they could be social media but even junk food, music, laying in your bed all day etc. Hope my vid helped👍

It would help if you change your daily routine and your physiology. You can heal from the depression that you are suffering from!

Such feelings are a sign that the child or adolescent frame of mind is not working for you anymore. This is good and a chance to transition to an adult psychology. I don't know if finding new activities to recapture those childish sensations of joy is the way to go. It seems to me that transitioning to a paradigm of GIVING and CREATING (rather than consuming or taking) and self-sacrifice and others-centeredness is the way to create true joy for yourself. Consumptive activities are a dead end that will always leave you wanting

I’m a junior in high school right now and all of my best friends were seniors last year. So when returning back to school, I will have no friends, this has not a lot to do with the video but I just don’t know where else to say this

@@BigDaddyAiden Bro I'm almost in the same position I'm switching schools this year and so none of my friends are gonna be there. You just need to get out of your comfort zone, make new friends, hope this helps💪

This can definitely also happen when you lose a pet, because you have an attachment towards it, but you lose the pet even tho you still had those feelings toward it. Even if pets are still valuable to us I have a dog for example, they still come and go, you should just be happy wherever you are rn and be grateful👍
