I think JynX truly wanted to make one step forward with this stage. First we got unique stage and stage theme and now we got good composition, yet very different from every other of his songs. The same with character itself - I hope Iyozane will have a good future.
I think they're very n-times-far-away-relatives, in which n is the total number of their different ancestors. Just like Hatsuna, the x-times-great-granddaughter of Lord Magahara, in which x has the same meanings as n. :3
@@HoshiroKibashiru No they aren't relative like other Fujiwara in Len'en. When people will start to understand that Len'en isn't in the same universe than Touhou? Mugenri and Gensokyo aren't the same, so no link with Fujiwara. Fujiwara is just the name of a important family in Japan history. Like, if there is a new Len'en character with Mononobe they isn't related with Futo, or a new Touhou character with Taira in her name, she will not be related to Chouki and Fumikado
It is indeed surprising, but both of these songs are unique in their own ways. I think that reusing phrases and melodies from past themes is interesting~
the background music (or rhytm if not bass) remind of the one in The Bridge People no Longer Cross, just my opinion, but the front arrangements is different
Touhou clearly is a ripoff of Len'en. Yes, originally Len'en was a ripoff of Touhou, but the tables are slowly starting to flip. A true Len'en fan would realise this fact. It is now Touhou's turn to be the ripoff.
Y'see, let's start with a simple one: Sakuya's [Time Sign "Changeling Magic"] from ISC is exactly the same as Kuroji's *original* [Reverse Card "Comprehension and Death"] from EE. How high do you think the chance is for this to be just a mere coincidence? Well, I am not finished yet.
For y'see, there are many big and small hints, especially in Hidden Star in Four Seasons. Firstly, the game mechanics are clearly ripped from Len'en's flashbomb system. ZUN knew this so he covered the secret by calling it "release", like a true mastermind. This is the biggest ripoff there is, but there is more: the antagonist "Okina Matara". Ohoh boy this one is just as bad. Her main job was looking for new subordinates, her ability's based around releasing people's potential that are used by her current subordinates, and she has her own secret world. This is highly like Tsurubami in EE, who too looked for new subordinates, has the ability to raise one's potenial, and they have their own secret world. Okina is basically Tsurubami Senri but cannot dictate. Okina's subordinates are also dancers, which Tsurubami is known to do. Furthermore, Okina is both a final boss and an extra stage boss, which Suzumi was also a final and extra boss in BPoHC. Okina's spell card [Hidden Winter "Black Snowman"] is a shoutout to Kurohebi. Oh, and Okina likes to use monochrome bullets, like Tsurubami and Tsubakura.
Futhermore, with Antinomy of Common Flowers's release, there is a character named "Shion" who directly copied the romaji name of the chimera soul Shion, both based on the Harujion. Her sister, Jo'on, also robs your money, just like Kuroji. There was also Sumireko, who's scenario's final boss was against two other Sumireko's: this is clearly a reference to Suzumi Kuzu fighting against themself, and both characters have brown hair and are from the outside world. Finally, Sumireko's occult is The Doppelganger, a clear reference to Ardey and Hamee. The ripoff is so clear, loyal Len'en fans dubbed them as "Suzumireko".
The similarities continue in Violet Detector. In the game, you play as the dream version of Sumireko, who at the end needs to be taken down by the real Sumireko. This is easily based on the Suzumi vs Suzumi fight in Brilliant Pagoda or Haze Castle. The plot also takes place in a Dream World, where all the characters are fake. This is easily based on Suzumi's claim that Mugenri is a different universe from the outside world. The game's mechanics are also based on the upgrade system from BPoHC, but disguised as "levels".
The full release of Wily Beast and Weakest Creature only gave more proof to this fact. The stage 5 boss, Mayumi Joutougu, is clearly a ripoff of Sukune. Some would argue she's ripping off Nomi no Hanie, but I beg to differ. She has haniwa enemies shooting for her, just like Sukune. One of her spell cards, [Haniwa "Skilled Fencer Haniwa"], resembles a lot like Sukune's [Mud Cluster "Doguu Warriors"]. The background of the same stage also has what appears to be buildings, which clearly seems similar to Devanagara of BPoHC Stage 5. The final boss music also has a melody that is suspiciously familiar to Saragimaru's theme "Mono Eye ~ Ironic Fate". Is all of this a coincidence? I think not!
You want yet more examples? I'll give you more. Unconnected Marketeers, or should I say... Brilliant Unconnection or Haze Marketeers. Let's start simple: the stage 2 boss has danmaku that comes from really weird angles that everyone dislikes, just like Kujiru. Not good enough proof? Alright, let's look at UM's mechanics. The game has a purchasing system where you can buy upgrades - I mean, ability cards - when collecting gold currency, which is just like the upgrading system in BPoHC. Having these upgrades to the max can make UM a catwalk, just like BPoHC. Not only that, the ability cards are based on the abilities of characters from past games, again, like BPoHC. Examples? Kanako/Sese lowers the point of collection, Yukari/Yabusame's warping from one side of the screen to the other, Nitori/Kujiru's increased item scope of collection, Eirin/Tsugumi's automatic deathbombing, and most of all, a duping glitch to get infinite money is CLEARLY a reference to Hibaru's ability... Need I list more?
Oh I am listing more, because it gets worse. Much worse... ZUN's not even hiding it at this point. The very next game, 100th Black Market, is LITERALLY A RIPOFF OF BPOHC!!! Like holy hell, the BIGGEST ripoff at this point! Elaborating on the BPo-- I mean, UM's system of ability cards, it includes "waves" of randomly-selected enemy formations and bosses as you progress. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? Too right it does, that's just BPoHC's cell grid system! Not only that, some of the characters, which are returning characters, uses spell cards and patterns that are literally re-used from previous games, or are variants of past patterns. Again, this is a recurring thing in BPoHC. Surprised ZUN didn't steal the idea of stage events, going this far to steal all of JynX's ideas. Heck, even JynX called out ZUN that the game's system might be too similar to their next addition to BPoHC: Golden Chapter.
Of course, I could go on and on for hours about this, but I think the point is clear. This also means that all Touhou fans are actually Len'en fans, who are simply not aware of Len'en's existence.
I think JynX truly wanted to make one step forward with this stage.

she's having a lonely future
mokou got tired of her pirate shit and went off to gensoukyou
*shrine team scenario in BPoHC*
this character's patterns are so fun to dodge and weave through
steady your heart, focus on the rhythm
find the moment to strike
its nice
looks like mokou and kaguya is having a child
"Steady as *she* goes" I guess it's confirmed Iyozane's female?
Late reply, but boats are generally referred to as girls because of an old pirate's joke, "Just like a woman, boats are unpredictable."
I'm just going to assume this character is somehow related to Mokou.
Since Len'en is a completely different universe from Touhou, I'm afraid to say that probably not......
I think they're very n-times-far-away-relatives, in which n is the total number of their different ancestors. Just like Hatsuna, the x-times-great-granddaughter of Lord Magahara, in which x has the same meanings as n. :3

I'd love an acapella arrange for this with rambling pirate noises as the main voice. One can always dream :3
uh, you guys, the part at 1:36 sounds exactly like Kurohebi's theme at 0:24. (watch?v=LjEOrux88c0#t=24)

And that little melody also made its way into Fumikado's theme.
This song is incredible. Too impressive, too much depth, a premiere Len'en theme.

Komachi Onozuka: Finally, a worthy opponent! Our battle will be legendary!
FTW FUJIWARA NO MOKO AND FUJIWARA NO IYOZANE?
ARE THERE SISTERS?
Fujiwara is a big clan. And also, Touhou and Len'en aren't in the same universe. So, no.
The Fujiwara are a big clan... though it would mean she is a descendent of one of Mokou's siblings
@@tachythepizza hahaha im just found this in mudaebot, since the art is simmiliar like touhou, but its not same universe🤣
