Batman & Superman Title Sequence

- With Zack Snyder's Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice on the horizon, I've always wondered what would've happened if it was made in the 1990's with Michael Keaton and Christopher Reeve. I've always wanted to make a title sequence like the opening to the 1978 Richard Donner film Superman. So using After Effects and Adobe Premiere, I managed to cobble together a title sequence that would be like what I would want to see if a Batman/ Superman movie was made back in the 1990's. So I used most of the cast from Richard Donner's Superman and Tim Burton's Batman with a few other actors and crew from other films involved. I put my name as director because It was made for fun and also as a teaching tool of how to use After Effects and Adobe Premiere.
Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent/Superman, Jackie Cooper as Perry White, Margot Kidder as Lois Lane, Noel Neill as Ella Lane (Lois Lane's mother), Michael Gough as Alfred Pennyworth, Pat Hingle as Commissioner James Gordon, Jack McGee as Daniel Turpin (a member of the Metropolis Police Department's Special Crimes Unit), Marc McClure as Jimmy Olsen, Brad Garrett as Bibbo Bibbowski (a sea captain and a fixture in the Hob's Bay section of Metropolis and friend of Lois Lane's), Robert Loggia as General Hardcastle (General in the United States Army), Adam Copeland as Metallo, Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor and Jack Nicholson as The Joker.
Music is by John Williams

Only thing that's missing here is the movie after title sequence.
"With" Gene Hackman? "And" Jack Nicholson? Not in a million years would either of those 2 not have top billing.
Oh, that would have been a movie. Michael Keaton and the great Christopher Reeve. Wow. And with Nicholson and Hackman? Wow, it's just wonderful thinking about it. Thank you for this terrific dream.
Meanwhile, in a parallel universe, that happened.
And I bet in that universe, Phil Hartman's still alive and the live-action Troy McClure movie's been released with critical and commercial success, Princess Peach is playable in NSMBW and NSMBU instead of Yellow Toad, and Nintendo listened to my ideas! Geez, I watch too much Rick and Morty.
Or at least a movie that was worth a shit

Yeah well it wasnt till around 2015 or 2016 when Bill Finger's name started to be noticed properly. Given the time period this guy is setting it during the 90s it makes perfect sense. But I get what you mean though. 🙂

Interesting that you chose Alexander Courage as the composer. John Williams wrote the themes, even Lacy’s theme for Superman IV and Courage adapted the themes and scores the film. I would have chosen John Williams as the composer for this, or maybe a cool colab between Williams and Elfman.

Too bad you didn't alternate between the Superman theme and the Batman theme while alternating the scenes of a bright sky to a dark and gloomy sky.

Wait... why don’t Hackman and Nicholson get top-billing? They did in their own films. Heck, Marlon Brando was in Superman 1978 for like 10 minutes and he got top-billing
