@@AstrocyteCosplay was paranoid about flipping the files to build plate to be sturdy. Was trying to print a small size predator bust, to a 6 inch print, but the hair was over hanging and just gave me globs!
Basically the head is too big to print all at once, so i wanted to split it but like i mentioned, certain pieces of the hair needed supports but its weird like now i cant make the tree supports thick enough to where they don't lift off the build plate.
Aloha and mahalo for sharing but I have a ender 3. I want to know how to take an mask image online and turn it into a 3d file? Could you please help me and thank you.
Unfortunately you can't just take an image and make a 3D file from it. You have to learn 3D modelling which I don't even know how to do myself yet. There are lots of videos on TH-cam if you want to learn however at this point I normally find models other people have made. There is a video on my channel listing some of the best sites for 3D files so maybe try there. What's the mask you are trying to make?
@@AstrocyteCosplay Mahalo for the reply, I wanted to model some cyberpunk mask online that I saw. Can you recommend any modeling software that's noob friendly lol. I want to take my 3d printer to the next level.
Try Blender. It's free so probably a good start if you are just getting into it. A lot of cosplayers tend to use this one. Also check out Nikko Industries TH-cam and website as he has some tutorials on his channel but offers a paid course you can take which you might be interested in.
Ok so given two of you were having issues I investigated a little further. It looks like the Mac installer got pulled from the website late last year due a security issue. There are a few websites that seem to have the older version of the installer but you would have to look into it yourself and if you are comfortable installing with whatever the security risk is. I know you can also cut in 3D Builder but that is built into Windows so not sure if Mac has an alternative, sorry I can't be more help as I am not a Mac user.

Thankyou! If there is anything else specific you would like to know let me know!
Very cool!
Thankyou! Glad you enjoyed it.
Awesome! I couldn't make the damn tree supports work!
Do you not have the setting or they just wouldn't work? What was the problem? I haven't had any issues with them yet and used them a few times.

@@dmonster808 Wow, sounds like an interesting print. Some prints are just hard with all the details. Hopefully one day you can figure it out.

Nice! Hadn't heard of that one as doesn't look like we can get it here in Australia. What do you think of it?
it DOES take a Windows PC...UGH
Do you mean Meshmixer requires a Windows PC? If you have a Mac I just did a quick search and you can get it on Mac as well.
@@AstrocyteCosplay I didn’t know this! Thank you! I will look harder
