- We passed our TB test, the calves were dehorned and castrated yesterday, so everything can go out today. We invited folks to come and watch the circus and help us raise a bit of money towards our farm Defibrillator, you can still help with that if you couldn't make it on the day, don't send money to us though, click on the link below to chuck a few quid in the pot. Well done Ian to you and your Family for the fundraising. I think Cattle release has only become a "Thing" as the public have become more and more removed from farming. When I was on a Farm a long, long time ago the Cows went out when it was dry enough and we never had even one "observer" - I almost feel I missed something 😹😹😹

Loving the change of the opening theme music.. the old one was cool though😊 the word 'Road' here in irish is 'Bothar', (Bo being the irish for cow) pronounced Bo Har! Meaning 'cow path/track'.. sometimes we use the word 'Boreen' (small lane/green track) you can see why now😊❤ following the path of least resistance, as many herds do following the leader...😊

Great to see all those lovely people supporting your worthy cause! It was always a highlight of the year for me, watching the neighbours release their cattle! Sadly, here in Belarus, whilst there are thousands of cows and cattle, they are "factory farmed"! 😕 I still find it strange and very sad to see the odd cow on its own in a small holding! Wonderful to see! Thanks Ian and family!

Time now for a lot of RnR before you start cleaning out the sheds. You have had a very long stressful winter and early spring. Cattle are happy out !!!
Stayed right to the end. Up to 2001 I had 30 suckler cows with calves and turning out day was always joy seeing the cows and calves dancing .
Ian, it was a fantastic day and I can't thank you and the family enough for all the effort you clearly put in, making it a wonderful day for us all.
First time meeting you all and you were truly wonderful people, also appreciate the time you spent talking to me and my family despite how busy it was!
It was actually quite humbling seeing the place, and you guys, having watched you for over 5 years now, but I think that goes to show how much of an impact your videos have on your community.

stayed till the event, well done to funds raised, i am a community first responder for Scottish ambulance service, so i know how important defibs are, i work hard to get them around villages and we do defib awarness course in the villages

I agree with your comments at the end of your video. Your cattle have not been exposed to crowds of visitors and it definitely affected their excitement and all the antics that go with it. Also noticed how they ran up the footpath as if to get away from the crowds at the barn. Have the event again next year but rather have the visitors away from the barn area. Also you must let the cattle out because you are the leader of the herd 😉🐂🐂🐂
It was still fun watching the event and glad for you and your family that it was successful. The visitors seemed to have enjoyed themselves immensely so you are on the right track making the 'grass run' an annual event. Just a tweak here and there.
