      I'm happy to see you liked this video. It was more about sharing my thoughts than getting good images, and I didn't know if that was something that would be appreciated. Thank for your comment and for watching. Grt guido

      @@GuidoVanDeWater Good to know that certain compositions will pay dividends when the light is better.

    Good to see you out again. Sometimes I use extreme lenses for variety. The 40 to 150 is an excellent mid range solution, great composition. As always working hard to make the most of the situation. Well Done.

      Thanks Mike. I think all these lenses just give the ability to adapt to any given situation. Thanks for watchibg and your comment! Grt guido

    “I just don’t understand it.” Well, what can you say? Some live to create or nurture beauty as best they can. Others throw their beer cans into the landscape without a second thought. People can be the worst, even in the Netherlands.
    That final, quick macro shot may be my favorite of the bunch. You just never know.

    • @GuidoVanDeWater
      @GuidoVanDeWater  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, I'm just surprised that this happens. I see it more and more in the netherlands. I've been in Denmark a lot and recently in sweden, and I've never seen things like this. In the netherlands, I come across it multiple times on every trip now. So time dor some action was my idea 😅
      This video wasn't really about that great image but more to share my thoughts process. I was quite happy with some shots, but nothing was spectacular.
      Thanks for watching and your comment! Grt guido

    Hi there! Stepping 5-10 meters to the left or right is sometimes all it takes to improve the composition as you say. Thanks for sharing your day out in nature!

      Exactly that. It sounds easy and it is if you can see it. That is the difficult thing I guess. You have to see images that aren't there yet. You have to work on them first. Thnx for watching. Fgrt guido

    Sure I found the video helpful. Just added the 60mm macro in my bag for tomorrow morning :) You're right I should always have it with me, especially in the spring when the colors are so tender.
    btw I have 2 camera bodies so that one is always ready for wild, or not so wildlife, encounter. Works best for me.

    • @GuidoVanDeWater
      @GuidoVanDeWater  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yep, that macro is awesome, and it gives you many more oppertunitys without carrying much more. Good idea with the 2 bodies. I think it's a bit heavy for me. I never take a second body when I go out. Only on large trips in other county's buy then it stays in my suitcase untill the first one breaks down. 😅 (never happened). I just programmed c1 for wildlife, so a quick turn and everything is set. Only a quick lens swap is needed. Thanks for watching and you're comment I appreciate it. Grt guido

    Hello Guido
    Another interessting video how you see the world and finding compositions. I also change lenses out door but not often. I never cleaned the sensors of my DSLRs, because I have not seen any dust spots on my images.

      As you might have noticed I change lenses constantly. Sometimes over 20 times during a trip and never had a problem. Happy you liked the video. Thanks for your comment! Grt guido

    Like this video a lot! Nice to see you walking around and explain how you are looking with a photographic view. I do learn from it. What I like when walking in nature with a camera that you are so much more aware of the surroundings, espacially the little things. Like you with the waterdrop on the outcoming leaf

    • @GuidoVanDeWater
      @GuidoVanDeWater  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The waterdrop wasn't a real special shot but if you know you have all these lenses you can really look for these images. I honestly don't care woth what subject I photograph. If I get home with one images that I like then I'm happy. Thanks for watching and your comment. I'm happy to see you liked this video concept! Grt guido

    I love these kind of videos for which I can learn a lot. Great tips. Next week I am going away for a cruise to the Baltics, Finland, Sweden and Denmark. I have the 12-40 F2.8 zoom and the 75-300 lens. I am thinking of buying the F2.8 40-150 (maybe with the MC1.4) What do you think, is this a good choice for such a trip and off course future trips.

    • @GuidoVanDeWater
      @GuidoVanDeWater  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't know what to expect on a cruise actually, but I know that 40-150 f2.8 is a beast of a lens. I absolutely love that thing, and even with the 1.4 converter, it's razor sharp. So yes, that would be a good investment. If it's not for this trip, then it's for all the others after this one. I'm happy you liked this video. It was about explaining my workload and not about that great image. So I didn't know if it would he appreciated. Thanks for watching and your comment! Grt guido

      I was lucky with those ands I'm sure they would not have liked me stepping in there. They seemed really aggressive so I didn't dare comming close for a macro shot 😅 thanks for watching. Grt guido

    Great tips. You are just like me when out and about. Constantly picking up garbage from people that just don't care. Don't spend that deposit refund all at once. Haha. Thanks.

      I really tried spending thar deposit all at once but eventually I realised that you can't buy anything for 15 cents these days 😅 it surprises me all the time how much garbage there is in nature. What are people thinking... thanks for watching. I appreciate your comment! Grt guido

    Hi Guido, I’m new to your channel. I was interested to know the location for this video. Looks like Lüneburger Heide.

    • @GuidoVanDeWater

      Welcome to the channel i hope you like it. This is shot in the netherlands. The area is called "de posbank". It indeed looks like lünenburgur heide but I think this one here has a bit more "hills". There are more videos from this area some with absolute amazing shots. Thanks for watching and your comment.
