With the creamy shape tape, if you want it to have a bit more coverage... let it sit under your eyes for 30-45 seconds before blending out. It works great!
@curlygurlxo you could do either! I'd suggest putting it on with no foundation underneath if you are putting it under your eyes. When it comes to the face, either way goes! As long as it matches closely to your foundation. 😊
I have this same issue. I'm super crepey under the eyes too... I'm having a hard time finding a good concealer with decent coverage that doesn't exaggerate my crepey skin.
I have super dry under eyes that always cake and crease! I’ve tried this one and it looks fresh all day. I get some creasing but that happens with every concealer! Hope this helps :)
@girl with a channel I use 2 dots, and one small one above my tear duct. This one is so thick I use a brush first, then my fingers to pat it out and I get very little to no creasing! I love this concealer. It reminds me of the Estee Lauder Radiant Double Wear Concealer. It's great!
IMO, the new Shape Tape Creamy is way better. But my opinion is based on having dry under eyes. The Too Faced BTW one is still way too drying in comparison. The TF prob has 15% more coverage at MOST. But to get that extra coverage, you need to use more, and that will end up looking cakey and cracking by the end of the day, on me, anyway.

I use a drop, just one tap of tarte shape tape under my eyes and it’s enough to cover all my dark circles (which I definitely have), if you use less it doesn’t look caked or too ‘makeup-y’ either.
I still rock the Maybelline age rewind concealer :P Maybe do a comparison of the new tart concealer with the Maybelline age rewind, that will be a fun video.

Right?! Her wear tests are always 12+ hours, which is great. Some people only do like 4 or 5 hours, and I expect any concealer to hold up for at least that long, so it's not as helpful as Nikkia.
I didn’t even know there were 2 versions and I ended up picking up the creamy version and I’m not mad! I like it as my skin is usually quite dry 🙂 However I wouldn’t say you need both unless your skin is combo or changes during seasons.
I compared both on my channel as well and as a dry skin girl, I MUCH prefer the new ultra creamy. definitely doesn't have the same EXTREME coverage but has really good coverage and doesnt make me look 50 years older :)

I love the new ultra creamy! It's the only concealer that doesn't settle in the many fine lines under my eyes. Every other concealer, including the original shape tape all settle under my eyes. The ultra creamy does not! And the blurring/smoothing effect is nice too! As for the coverage, I think the ultra creamy is very comparable to the original shape tape. When you first put it on, it doesn't look like it's going to be full coverage, but then somehow, it becomes full coverage. It's like magic! LOL

I've never found Shape Tape too drying, or heavy, and it totally covers my very dark under eyes! It's been the concealer I reach for, but I've also enjoyed the TF Born This Way Concealer too. I am turning 60 on Monday (that number is very triggering this year...), so if I can get Shape Tape with eye cream, what a bonus! I It looked lovely on you, and I did see a tiny, tiny bit of dryness with the original Shape Tape near the inner corner of your undereye. Who knew?! I find that the original shape tape oxidizes and the ultra creamy doesn’t. So I’m light medium neutral in original (which is too dry and I hate), but I’m medium neutral in ultra creamy. Hope this helps someone

The original shape tape is also my holy grail and I always use squalane serum under my 52 yr old eyes and they never crease or feel dry .. but I also fell in love with the ultra creamy version so now I mix them both .. they are both truly amazing concealers ..

I definitely think the ultra creamy doesn’t cover as well! It’s not a major issue for my under eye because it’s just a subtle difference but I see a big difference on problem areas and breakouts when I need to cover those :/ I prefer the original!
This is interesting.... concealer tends to settle in my lines (which I've had since adolescence), and i wanted to try shape tape coz it's not meant to settle into lines... howwver, that's not quite the case! Lol

I find that the original Shape Tape sets almost immediately and can be difficult to blend. The upside is that it is quite budge proof. And that’s on quite oily skin.

I would rather use a corrector and a thinner concealer formula on my "mature" eyes. I have even started just applying foundation over my corrector and not using concealer, as it has been the hardest product to make work now that I'm older!

Nikkia I love how you will actually get up close to the camera and show what it looks like, I love you for that, when you were reading all that this product could do you basically had me sold on it, I could notice a slight difference in the creamy formula side to the original side and that’s what I love to see especially for someone as old as I am @60+, I think I’ll have to get this one for sure, I purchased the L’Oréal Fresh Wear powder foundation from your recommendations and I absolutely love it, So for anyone out there that’s on the fence about getting that powder foundation, I’d say give it a try, you won’t be disappointed, it’s so easy to apply, I actually use a kabuki brush to apply it with and it lasts all day for me, for a quick makeup day, I just apply that all over my face, a little blush on my cheeks and eyes, mascara and lipstick 💄 and brows of course, can’t forget those Lol 😂 and I’m out the door, I even impressed hubby Lol 😂 how quick I was able to get ready to go out for brunch today. Umm, she says the coverage is slightly lowest with the creamy version, but she left the original on while she spoke about it and went right in blending right after applying with the creamy version. 🤦♀️🤷♀️
Everyone knows with creamier consistency formulas; you must let it sit a bit before going in to blend.

I got say though, on the screen, it doesn’t look like there is less coverage with the new product. It actually looks like there is more coverage cause I can see a bit of a gray cast on the eye with the old formula. It could be the lighting though. But the new one looks better I think 🤔
The new formula was made to be more brightening
@@loren9597 so I heard, but I compared to my old shape tape tube (bought the same color) and didn’t see any difference other than the finish. I also didn’t see a difference on this video, but it still works nicer it seems which is very exciting 😀 cause the old formula does not work for me at all. Even though I have oily skin, I also have drier under eyes.

Once I noticed you were in the video, I came here immediately because I’ve been a fan of yours for a few years now! Not sure if you knew the change in your video descriptions!
I find that the original Shape Tape sets almost immediately and can be difficult to blend. The upside is that it is quite budge proof. And that’s on quite oily skin.
What is your favorite primer for oily skin that is smoothing and helps with longevity. I’m in a wedding next weekend and curious to see what you recommend.

Hey, So I have combination skin oily T zone with normal to dry on the outside and undery eyes a bit. I was wondering what your tips are for a gal who loves to wear Sunnies but my foundation ends up breaking up and sliding where they sit. And help would be soo amazing.
I was never a fan of the original. So cakey. Maybelline age rewind is way better
I need to try this, the original caked and settled on me, I didn't like it much. These days, I really like lighter, creamier face product formulas anyway.

I bought this since it was half off during 21 days of beauty at Ulta. I do like the original but find it a bit drying. I'm hoping this one will be a little less dry.
I want to know how it compares to the nars soft matte creamy concealer! That's what I'm using under my eyes atm! Looks very similar. Also it somehow can layer on top of anythinggggg and look like skin (like literally if I've lost coverage on a spot after all my powdering and blush/bronzer etc I could literally dab a tiny bit on and bam perfect) so I wonder if the Tarte is similar?

I would rather use a corrector and a thinner concealer formula on my "mature" eyes. I have even started just applying foundation over my corrector and not using concealer, as it has been the hardest product to make work now that I'm older!
The new one looked brighter (not lighter) IMO. More youthful.
Do you use a damp beauty blender to blend out under eye concealer and foundation or just dry?
