- In today's video I dye my hair with Henna powder, which is always an interesting process. I've been super indecisive about dyeing my hair, because I've finally had my own natural hair colour for a few years, but due to my winter paleness that has already kicked in, I decided to give it a try. Why not do it then but remember once henna you can't go back from it you can't never bleach your hair as it will break off of henna has a very bad reaction to bleach so you must be totally sure that's what you want to do it's for life x

daisycakesss I’ve been bleached blonde for 8 years straight and am now having a sudden urge to go copper. I’m probably gonna go for more of a blond(er) copper so if I regret everything it’ll fade fast. I’m not good with change hah
@@daisyophelia2250 is not that dificult its just proces first u have to die it darker then when it growsout u can bleach bath it which is better then foils anyways and a had a black henna buildup
daisycakesss I've tried regular dye looks really good on me so now going Henna as I've left the blonde since March of 2019. Remember this we have too many blondes and brunettes if you have color eyes go with henna copper. I reccomend plus it's healthy for your hair makes it shiny and stronger my grandma used to use it.
I’ve been using hair for a while now however, I use the mahogany red and my goodness henna does wonders to your hair not only does it give you such a vibrant colour but it lasts a life time because it goes deep into your hair follicles and sticks to your natural colour therefore, you’ll never have fading hair. Plus henna is such a healthy hair dye! If you want to be a red head use henna for sure!

That color is very flattering on you. I use Light Mountain Bright Red henna. I make it like thick pudding and use a hair dye application brush so it really covers my grey roots but henna is a super healthy alternative for me. I stopped going to salon and spending 200$ when the box of henna costs 6$ and some of my time and effort. The salon dyes, even though she used high quality products, were killing my hair. The Henna was the best option. No regrets. I always do a hair masque after a henna dye though. It keeps it nice and moisturized. Love the color on you, it’s a very “alive” and happy color.
If you think it's too orange you can just mix henna powder with a natural conditioner! I too have natural copperish hair, and to prevent fading I just mix natural henna with a natural conditioner that I buy in bulk ; it transform into a sort of silky mud and I use it everytime I wash my hair (1/2 times per week) in replacement of a traditional conditionner, letting it set just a couple of minutes before rinsing and I swear it just gives them a wonderful copper shine that's super healthy and lovely, without being orange or drying :) hope this helps!

Intrested, I may give this a go, never used henna before, what type of natural conditioner do you mix it with? Do you mix it and just put it back in e conditioner bottle? Please let me know I'm really curious to try this way. Thank you!
Love Juliet I use a non-scented conditioner from a local brand (Oneka from Quebec, Canada) and because I buy it in bulk I put it directly from their big bins I found in a local zero waste store into a big glass pot (mason jar style) and mix the powder in it with a long wooden spatula! I guess you could buy a bottle, empty it in a bowl, mix in the powder and then put it back and the bottle, I did that a couple of times, it’s just that adding henna adds to the volume of the conditioner so it might not fit back in the bottle in its entirety!You could also put it back in an empty pot and reuse the plastic bottle for something else/recycle it. And what I mean by natural conditioner is just a silicon-free and sulfate-free one, otherwise the henna will not penetrate your hair follicles and do its magic... But hey, however you try it you’ll see, you get gorgeous results that build over time and make your hair stronger 😊 it’s my little secret tbh haha

I dye my hair with henna and I feel it always fades away nicely after couple of washes to more natural tone but unlike synthetic products the color stays and I love that! (bleached blonde and natural brown )

As someone already said - don’t use any metal to mix the color. Add some lemon to the color. I always use Khadi colors and their Ayurvedic oil to fix the color. Radico has some nice colors too. I love it when you vlog. Have a good day.

I was blonde my whole life, but I always wanted to have this hair color. Wasn‘t allowed to dye it during my teen years and now that I‘m over 20 I‘m thinking about cutting my hair to shoulder length and finally dying it. It looks soooooo good. I‘d really like to use henna, but I heard that it layers over time and gets darker + you can‘t get it out of your hair. I think I‘ll start with regular dye or semi-permanent dye to test it out and if I‘m sure, I‘ll switch to henna. It‘s so beautiful 😍

I think it's fun to try something new. Your own color is my fave, but good for you for going for it. It's not a dye, it's only a stain. It will wash out eventually. Looks very cute, and gives your face a lift, as you say.

Suzanne Freespirit I’m the same age too and my long dark hair hair is getting lots of silver in it - I feel too young to be going all the way grey and have been putting off dyeing it for various reasons. Think I’ll take the plunge with henna, if it covers grey / silver ?

Hi Suzanne, I’ve got about 7 boxes of different dyes in my cupboard unopened that I’ve picked up on special over the years but never used! I love how it turned out! I once used black henna hair dye on my brown hair and it really didn't come through at all but it's good that it worked so well for you!
Rachel Walker that was probably a scam. There is no real black henna. It was probably indigo or some kind of other mix that wasn’t pure henna.

The colour looks very natural on you and suits your natural skin tone and eye colour. You genuinely look like a natural red head (I say that as a natural red head). Pure Henna (like you used) doesn’t really leave your hair, it will gradually lighten and fade a bit over time but won’t wash out like normal dyes do.

Just some tips, after washing henna with shampoo add good conditioner all over the hair or good hydration mask, massage leave 5-10min and rinse it out. I use kerastase oil (golden), you can use even morrocan oil...

Fun color! As for dry hair, sometimes coconut oil doesn't respond well to all hair types, leaving it even drier. Olive oil might be an alternative to try.
I use Henna also but when I prepare Henna I use 2- 3 Tablespoons Oliveoil and Lemon Juice and of Course hot Water and I let it sit for a few Minutes..it helps very much especailly on dammaged hair aaand you won't have dry Hair after dying :-) Oh by the Way: Great Colur...you look Pretty! :-)

it's nice to mix henna with yogurt before application but don't mix it with oil. use a nice conditioner to rince it and to moisturize your hair afterwards. aloe vera helps too! the color is amazing
