Great video as always! ☺️ When the Friends cards dropped out, there was one underneath the box when you put it on the ground and at around 10:12-10:13, you can still see it on the grass where they fell out after you’d picked the rest up. Hopefully won’t be too hard to replace the card if that’s the only one missing from the box though ✨

I agree with some other people’s comments - when they tell you the price I’d put the item back down, look like you’re disappointed and turn away a bit, then throw in a ‘I could give you x amount for it’. I also think it’s one of the downsides of getting in early, they’ll hold out for someone who’ll offer more and if it’s still unsold later on they start knocking prices down. Understandable you want to get in early, but maybe go back later too if possible and see what’s left!

From selling occasionally at boot sales anyone with a cart made me think hey this guys a seller. no bargains for him 😂. Chances are George most of the sellers either recognise you from boot sales or seen you online or at the very least some have heard about you locally. Maybe that's affecting the haggling I don't know

A bit more of a chat to break the ice, compliment them on the stuff they have etc etc remember is someones selling for 20 and you offer 15 and they say no , go 16 ,17 - then just say , what is your absolute best on it , a bit of Rossy charm will go along way

Great vid. Where can you get the balls from for the big loader? Or anything anyone can suggest I can use instead of the balls. I have a set but no balls. Cheers
Being nice is no bad thing. I think it's a case of early doors they are willing to stick to there price. The trolley is a sign you are a "dealer" as we called them back in the day so you will pay up or leave money on the table knowing that someon else will pay up later that day I will often put things back on the table knowing that the seller can see the sale is slipping away and I will walk away, this can sometimes work but you risk losing the item over a few quid. You won some and lose some.
I would really recommend listening to Pure Hustle Podcast. They're American resellers but they do loads of negotiation episodes! One good tip is to bundle together and then ask for a price for all. In the bundle if you put something in that you don't really want and if their price is too high, take that item out of your bundle and then ask what the price is now. They'll knock some off and you'll get the items you wanted and a cheaper price hopefully
Making a second offer ( revising your original one, work most times. Sellers are prepared to haggle so give them a run for their money. Being firm on 15 is because you bumping them by 1/3. Making a second offer of 13 will most likely get it. Throw 14 as well of rejected. Save is a save on the end of the day.
Maybe drop the trolley ask them agree on a price, ask them to reserve the item come back later that way you won’t miss out on other deals 🤔 go back to using ikea bags
Think it could be the trolley, but I have also thought could be the clothes people wear. Like you have a Tommy Hilfiger scarf on.. but keep up the videos 👌🏼 Your eBay is going to look like JD sports soon 😉
Im very new to this buying and reselling, mostly been to a couple of charity shops and facebook marketplace so far. Anyone got any tips on what items to start with, or a video i can look at to help?
Top tip get there name and use it as much as possible while talking to them for some reason this makes them think of you more as a friend and are more prone to giving you a better deal seriously try it
Do you find that by going in before “joe public“ sellers know you are a reseller and are less likely to take an offers?. In their eye, if you grabbed it, it will have value!?
Don’t bother with the camcorders unless they’re HI8 or mini DV and made in late 90s early 2000s. Those hulking big ones are a slog to sell. Battery’s degrade too much.
I would say don’t be afraid to walk away, often show your disinterest & suddenly it’s a “ohh go on then” personally am pretty cheeky with my offers I think you can be a little to poilte at times. “Would you take” implying your already wanting to buy it anyway
Nothing wrong for asking for a deal on a bundle. Some people just stick to their prices, especially when it's early. I tend to walk away if they start saying it goes for X on eBay, unless I know they're wrong. I also just stay friendly and have a joke or a flirt with the sellers. Even better if it's a couple cos you can joke with them both and pitch them against each other. If I get the right vibe and they're regular sellers, I'm honest with the seller, I tell them I'm gona resell it but if they can do me a deal I'll come back and buy more every week.
I agree, thats what i was taught to do at antique fairs, it means they are more likely to give a better price unless they are hard faced enough to stand their ground 🤣 years ago before reselling i used to dress plainly at boot sales or the prices went up! Not sure thats the case these days or not.
As if your daughter was getting tea ready for you at home! 😂 That's quality 👏🏼 You've done well there! Good pickups too, despite it being a bit of a struggle.
I wonder if you guys as resellers can make a living for the whole family of 3 or 4 even with 50 - 60 K ? I guess George is so busy but if anyone can comment. Thanks.
To be it’s the seller attitude that is all wrong, if they want £15 why don’t they start at £20 gives round to negotiate. Why do they always feel need to give you the life story ie I paid £75 brand new, hardly worn etc. On eBay I always have best offers if I want £20 not going to list for £20 list for £25 gives you round to negotiate you get price you wanted and buyer thinks they have got a deal everyone is a winner. I started reselling January 2021, I’ve walked away from some deal on marketplace/ Shpock because of seller attitude if I was at a car boot and wasn’t given that attitude you was I wouldn’t buy and they would get told. A car boot is meant to be fun have a little haggle etc
I went out to Watford and Hemel Hempstead to do some charity shops. Was completely done with the small talk... Same exact comments in nearly 20 shops I went into. It’s so boring.
I don't think you've done anything wrong. someone wants to hold out for a price for an item early on before majority of punters turn up seems fair. I'd do the same. No harm in asking, just because you haven't got it cheaper than offered when you know you're double your money, does it matter?
Ask what their best price is and go down from there. Gives them the opportunity to reduce the price at their own will. People can be standoffish with offers (us Essex lot drive hard bargains) lol

In the bundle if you put something in that you don't really want and if their price is too high, take that item out of your bundle and then ask what the price is now. They'll knock some off and you'll get the items you wanted and a cheaper price hopefully
The trolley telegraphs your intentions! It screams I intend on buying something today.
I made the same mistake today....didn't buy something straight away went back to see a person purchasing the items 😞
Think it could be the trolley, but I have also thought could be the clothes people wear. Like you have a Tommy Hilfiger scarf on.. but keep up the videos 👌🏼 Your eBay is going to look like JD sports soon 😉
Didn’t take long for the “they go for £100” 🤦♀️
Hard people today George!
Im very new to this buying and reselling, mostly been to a couple of charity shops and facebook marketplace so far. Anyone got any tips on what items to start with, or a video i can look at to help?
You should try George Ross videos, also, we put our sales up 👍
Do you ever sell at car boot sales?
It makes sense they're not going to lower their prices if it just opened. Must be priced right if you bought it at full price haha
Mate, 13 minutes in, and the best dressed at a carboot goes to this GUY . LOL wow
Top tip get there name and use it as much as possible while talking to them for some reason this makes them think of you more as a friend and are more prone to giving you a better deal seriously try it
i had the same all day on sunday ..nobody would come down on price ...daft
Do you find that by going in before “joe public“ sellers know you are a reseller and are less likely to take an offers?. In their eye, if you grabbed it, it will have value!?
I thought the sellers were a bit abrupt in their replies. Fair enough if they have a fixed price in mind but could have replied with a nicer tone
You not doing anything wrong booters know you resellers and will hold out specially being first boot x good pickups George x
It was early but also remember we are just out of lockdown and people want as much money as they can get
Should come to my stall, once I've made my entry money back everything is profit!! Sold 2 watches for 50p just to get rid!
Don’t bother with the camcorders unless they’re HI8 or mini DV and made in late 90s early 2000s. Those hulking big ones are a slog to sell. Battery’s degrade too much.
You missed that green bottle full of marbles. :)
I would say don’t be afraid to walk away, often show your disinterest & suddenly it’s a “ohh go on then” personally am pretty cheeky with my offers I think you can be a little to poilte at times. “Would you take” implying your already wanting to buy it anyway
2021 Everything's Offensive. Cracked me up. 😂
Well done you've got some good items x hope they get you a good profit x
"Would/will you take" invites the seller to answer no very easily.
"What is your best" forces the seller to negotiate. 😉
I agree, thats what i was taught to do at antique fairs, it means they are more likely to give a better price unless they are hard faced enough to stand their ground 🤣 years ago before reselling i used to dress plainly at boot sales or the prices went up! Not sure thats the case these days or not.
@@Lomie32 Even when they reply "that IS my best price" I still throw a number at them. 😅 And sometimes it works.
@@machinist_matt it takes a confident seller to say that too 👍🏻
Fucking hell want put any more adds on this video lol
You missed out on some petrol tools
Wooo another carboot vid... Keep em coming mate 😎🤟👌👍
Wheres the subtitles please x
As if your daughter was getting tea ready for you at home! 😂 That's quality 👏🏼 You've done well there!
Good pickups too, despite it being a bit of a struggle.
lol - they should reply "no - not to you george" lmaoo you be like WTFFF am i dreaming lol
I wonder if you guys as resellers can make a living for the whole family of 3 or 4 even with 50 - 60 K ?
I guess George is so busy but if anyone can comment. Thanks.
Plenty of resellers do seen people's numbers of 70+k a year profits.
You are very polite when you ask for money off, shame it doesn't work often😊
Those carbooters were very blunt! 🙄
Hello. I admire you. How much can you earn monthly on such a sale?
