I've put 40,000 miles on my carbed 350 '86 K5 in the last couple of years, driving it back and forth from Indiana to Texas. This is the best series, thanks for the bring back. Rocky is the man. Hope TTR is alive and well!
Put over 850 miles on my '83 305 C10 past two weeks hauling topsoil one yard at a time. Must have hauled 25,000lb of dirt. Original engine and transmission too. Just love my 40 year old truck and feel like I'm in a time capsule floating by everyone else in their bubble cars (compact SUVs) and poser trucks (lifted, aggressive looking modern trucks with uselessly short beds driven by tailgating aholes).
Finally, a rounded body style truck that has an original era engine, actually still has the emblems on it, a factory interior. The drop on it is awesome, the sound of it is awesome, great truck.
Rocky, pearl, a small block and a vintage guitar doesn’t get any better. Definitely United By Trucks !! Great video oh and millimeter trying to get some video time.
That is a fantastic truck. I love it. I have missed what's in your driveway series I am glad to hear it's coming back. Stay healthy maybe I will see you again in Lebanon Tennessee.
Love it all, Rocky has a great truck! I love that it's not on bags and C-notch. When I lower my truck that's what I want to do. Another great video Robbie!
My Dad has a 79 C10 Custom Deluxe short bed stepside just like this that he bought used in 1981 from a local car lot. It now sports a 355 small block similarity this one. I can only hope it will belong to me some day.
Pearl is awesome and doesn’t need anything else to make it better than what it already is, but I think the one thang that would set it off would be a set of 15x8” or 10” matching rear steel wheels with a little more rubber to feel out those step sides, while retaining the white walls of course!
Awww yeah that’s what I’m talking about, bring it back. I love that Guitar Robbie. Man Rocky is straight to the point , it’s the original look for me with the glove box tag great touch. Now Robbie I’ve been in submit your truck so I’ve got to join you in what’s in my driveway .💯💯💯
love this video and so glad to finally see a detailed breakdown of Pearl and to get to hear from Rocky a little more. That guy is cool. Hot as Hell truck and Cool as Ice owner. I will be referencing this video and all the stuff on Mud when I do my own build very soon! thanks again Robbie and UBT for quality content
I love generational Auto stories. I have one of my own now, sorta..... back in 2010 my lifelong best friend was killed in Afghanistan, and Christmas eve morning his grandpa called me and ask me to come over that he had something he wanted to talk to me about, When I get over there he's in the garage leaning against his 83 Chevy C-10 truck and we start talking about the memories of the old truck and of Brian and he tells me that he always thought of me like a 2nd grandson and since Brian's gone I'm only grandson he has and reaches in his pocket pulls out the keys to the truck and tells me the trucks mine now. It's a long bed, only got a 305 with an auto trans it and she needs an almost complete rebuild but I don't care, I WILL rebuild it, with some mods along the way. I'm going to lower it and repaint it Yellow, now it's a 2 tone yellow and I'm just going to do one single yellow with a brown pinstripe because the interior is brown and I'm going to just redo it brown but other than that it will be completely stock, I promised Grandpa Ricky that we would go to a cars and coffee this year in the truck whether it's completely done or not.
Sweet guitar I play a little guitar my self but I'm more better at playing the drums we gotta get together one day and jam out i like Rocky's 1973 as well iv seen it in a few videos very cool truck it's sweet as heck if I got a square body I would want a 1973 sounds really good to makes me wanna build my engine like y'all's I'm also a volunteer firefighter
That Jazzmaster is sick! I’m in the middle of building a P Bass with faux patina and stingray style pickups at the bridge. Nicknamed “shop truck”. White road work with tortoise shell is 🤴🤴🤴
What a great interview. Rocky seems like a awesome guy. I like the truck alot . Just a simple looking truck , with alot of pop ...alot of pop . God bless 🙌
That ole school truck is to badd ass man love it the rattier looking rods usually get overlooked but I love em they have character and balls both lol keep em coming please sir thanks again
Awesome truck well thought out an well put together. I lube my hood hinges every oil change , I've never folded a hood in 21 years of owning squares . Later dudes thanks for the great break down of this truck . From one Rocky to another your truck is sick .
Love that you are bringing back the series!! I’d asked you about that months ago!! I love the way Pearl sounds! Enjoyed the whole video. When I saw the thumbnail I thought, “That looks like Pearl!” Loved Rocky’s ending saying he went to school with your wife! Too cool!! Thanks for the video! Cheers.
My 1980 k20 was a Prescott forest service truck back in the day and the yellow is showing in places . I saw his glove box and we have the same yellow . 😂
DA ROCK !!! I’m happy you are bringing this back brother anything UBT ILL WATCH FASHO ! I remember when this rig had the stra8 six in it ! Nice upgrades
Absolutely love Rocky's truck. The gold flake steering wheel is a perfect addition to match the little hints of yellow on the exterior. Soooo Cool. We need an update on the truck you guys went and picked up for his son. Also what ever happened to your friend at the farm when you first started the channel.
Gotta love Pearl, such a cool ride!!! Thanks for getting back to the WIMD format. Side note, cool that you play guitar, I got a strat and les paul myself.
Nice build. I also went with a 700R and constant pressure valve body when I rebuilt my 700R. You can kinda see my engine bay with RamJet 350 for my profile picture on TH-cam.
Mine is a 73-86 conglomerate of chevy/gmc It had the two tone brown and cream paint maybe 20 years ago now faded and worn through in spots... fine with me. mine is a fleetside but like yours it is lowered 1/2 ton with steelies and dog dish caps. Mine is an LS conversion with 4L60e trans and that is working out really well. I think I have replaced about everything that was worn like hinges and window regulators etc. Truck runs low 13's and gets 20-25 mpg? runs about 2k RPM at a tad over 70 mph.... Do people notice the truck? seriously? I like old and faded paint on old cars/trucks Also a big fan of Coors.
Amazing build, lucky theres no drone. Same exhaust in mine and you cant hear the 12s over the cab drone! Below 45 maybe 1800 it sounds like a huey hovering lol!
Rocky is so down to earth. I would love to drink a .40oz Mickey with rocky.
Might get a little freaky after ?
.40oz? Guess you don't wanna hang long,lol
@@carsondees7175 lol 😂 definitely not. That’s a Good one
@@PEDR0SKI lol yea maybe I was exaggerating . Probably too much now that you bring it up lol
@@malc1012 not enough being .40
One of my favorite trucks that has been on the channel
I've put 40,000 miles on my carbed 350 '86 K5 in the last couple of years, driving it back and forth from Indiana to Texas. This is the best series, thanks for the bring back. Rocky is the man. Hope TTR is alive and well!
Had to hit the like button two minutes in! Old trucks and old guitars is what makes life.
This is why I really enjoy following your channel. Trucks built to enjoy year-round. Simple affordable upgrades that the average working man afford.
Got that right man 👍🏼
Ok dang it.. now I'm wanting to fix up MY squarebody and maybe fix up a few more and flip them.. Love this ride! Love the step sides!
Glad to see W I M D is back.
I think that's the most we have seen Rocky, much less Pearl, in one serving.
The truck, the jazzmaster, the beer, the boots..... this dude is after my own heart
Haha he’s a damn good one
We gonna need more Rocky in our lives
Pearl is one of the coolest truck. Now I am going to have finsh my 75 c10 and put in the 700r4.
my favorite thing about rocky's truck pearl is that is is a daily driver.
Like that truck, sounds great and killer stance with being able to drive it daily and not afraid to divre it any distance!
Y'all don't miss. That truck is super sweet. That old skool flavor will be here forever..... I love it!
Rocky seems like a super chill dude. He’d be fun to hang with. I think any of the United by Trucks guys would be.
Love the series, and love Pearl. Im a stepside fan myself. A truck needs hips on it like a good woman lmao!
Finally, a rounded body style truck that has an original era engine, actually still has the emblems on it, a factory interior. The drop on it is awesome, the sound of it is awesome, great truck.
What a killer ride & what a way to kick off the 2023 series of 'What's In My Driveway'!
Love LS's, but it's nice to see a SB Chevy being a daily.
Absolutely cooler than an ls swap. Long live the carb.
Great to see this series of videos coming back! No better way to do it than starting with Rocky and his truck!
Rocky, pearl, a small block and a vintage guitar doesn’t get any better. Definitely United By Trucks !! Great video oh and millimeter trying to get some video time.

Love it all, Rocky has a great truck! I love that it's not on bags and C-notch.
When I lower my truck that's what I want to do.
Another great video Robbie!
The lowered stance is amazing. I just acquired my Dad’s 1973 Chevy C20 Custom Deluxe Long bed 350 auto.
Just stayed in the wigwam hotel In Holbrook last night. Wife and I on a 3 week trip out west and now headed back to NC. It was very cool.
Your channel is as inspiring as ever, just finished the LS swap in the 64 C10 in the UK, keep em coming.

Kudos to Rocky, for rockin the ol Hank Jr-shades!!!
Yes sir! Hank shades, i love it

Great to see you are coming back with ''Whats in my Driveway'' i love that!!! Rocky is so an awesome Guy and i love his Truck!!!
My 90 Suburban is a daily converted to Carb. I get about 15-17 mpg. This is with 1 ton axles and 35 inch tires with 4:56 gears.
Dude I love the wood grain that’s always been my favorite
Awww yeah that’s what I’m talking about, bring it back. I love that Guitar Robbie. Man Rocky is straight to the point , it’s the original look for me with the glove box tag great touch. Now Robbie I’ve been in submit your truck so I’ve got to join you in what’s in my driveway .💯💯💯
Beautiful truck and I love that you daily drive it. I daily my 86 gmc c2500 every day.
This is probably my most favorite TH-cam vehicle ever. I think because it’s obviously not in the garage 360 days a year
It's a special one
love this video and so glad to finally see a detailed breakdown of Pearl and to get to hear from Rocky a little more. That guy is cool. Hot as Hell truck and Cool as Ice owner. I'm glad to see this series back. Pearl is simple and yet badass, now where is TTR ? Hope he's got something up his sleeve. Getting ancy.
Second times she's been on what's in my driveway. Love this truck
Great content, mix it up with your local truck crew. What a different type of build! Build it how you want to, make it the way you want it.

Love the Series! My Grandpa’s last truck was a ‘74 GMC Super Custom 1500. I have it & I plan a similar build with it. Great video. Congrats Rocky!
My 1980 k20 was a Prescott forest service truck back in the day and the yellow is showing in places . I saw his glove box and we have the same yellow . 😂
17mpg is crazy good numbers for this rig.
Yooo I’m like how! But it’s possible I guess. Those numbers are impressive with this type of build.
She’s definitely a thumper.😊
Now that's a cool build. I have the brother to your truck. 77 stepside with high mount spare.
That truck is absolutely gorgeous. Pearl is my kinda truck. Patina with a nice stance. Thanks for the video UBT

Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching
My 79 step side which used to be my daddy’s truck was a City of Atlanta service truck. It was originally white.
Nice piece of machine especially being original body/paint. Excellent upgrades and future brake additions. Thanks for sharing
Sweet Jazzmaster😎🎸🔥 I've played since I was 12. I'm more of an Acoustic Bluegrass style picker but I enjoy a nice Les Paul or Tele
Love the truck Rock. Thx for the advice on the valve body on the 700R4.
Best thing to ever happen to the 700R4
Dude I love the sound of this truck it reminds me of mine I need to drive more.
Absolutely love Rocky's truck. The gold flake steering wheel is a perfect addition to match the little hints of yellow on the exterior. Soooo Cool. We need an update on the truck you guys went and picked up for his son. Also what ever happened to your friend at the farm when you first started the channel.
Rocky's truck is amazing. And John went a totally different direction a couple years back and is no longer associated with the channel.
Yess!! That truck and story is super cool
Love this build and it makes it better that its a daily! Hell yea!
Gotta love Pearl, such a cool ride!!! Thanks for getting back to the WIMD format. Side note, cool that you play guitar, I got a strat and les paul myself.
Great vid! Love this series! Rocky and Pearl is a great way to kick it off!

You had me at Trucks and Guitars....

At first I thought that pickup was a 1974 because of the drip molding trim above the doorways. The drip molding trim wasn't produced until 1974.
Love it, I have got to get my 74 gmc back on the road.
Love that first square body!
I don't let nobody but me and my exhaust man!
Good rule
I’m ready for another truck that I keep the carb on !!!
Yooooooo I missed this, I hope to see more…
Love the channel and this sweet truck! Once I get my ‘96 C1500 extended cab the way I want it, I’d love to show it to you guys.
Would y’all still be down to do the Submit your Truck series again maybe soon?
Perfect it can't sound any better
Saw Rocky posted up at Caffeine & Octane back on the 8th of Jan.! Perhaps making another appearance for Feb?!?!?
