The groom's mom is totally out of line. Any old school person knows, that when you enter a room or house you are supposed to speak to the people that were already in the room before you.
This mother has main character syndrome. She's also rude. As for the bride, the fact that she's not a vocal person doesn't mean she's not doing the work - she's a chilled individual which is what Romeo needs as a person who's quite out there. Great combo.
They all was looking stupid like she's not a human being with chores and responsibilities people are so simple minded for them to think she does absolutely nothing because they don't personally know her routine is ridiculous
Nope. He did Not look stupid. In fact, Natasha was the STUPID and RUDE one for Neglecting to simply explain the Situation BEFORE Accepting the job, or at least have given the COURTESY of an explanation before QUITTING the job.
So the mom doesn’t like her because she isn’t toxic, disrespectful and cantankerous like she is?? I hope they have a long and healthy relationship and he continues to be protective of this beautiful lady, inside and out.
The mother is the type of person that wants you to tell her off and she would smile and say yes that’s it! And take her in. Some people like toxic relationships. Natasha is nothing like that and she ignores her and she doesn’t like it.
I agree with everyone here about how harsh and disrespected his mother was. But his best friend and cousin was just as disrespectful and out of line. These two grown men walk in the house and barely acknowledging her. I expected to hear some horror story about her being abusive or a serial cheater. They were completely judgemental and unkind to her for no legitimate reason. She had to show them a chart of her daily schedule in order to gain their respect. She had to prove that she had an exhausting day every day, so that she isn't labeled lazy or a gold digger. Her family also annoyed me with accusing him of taking this grown woman away from them. I felt so bad for this lovely couple.
At least her family had basic manners and believed him the first time. His people were still questioning her, and you could tell they were mad she wasn't what they assumed she was. Crazy!!
The mom doesn’t let her son get any words out. That’s the most heart breaking thing. Then to make him feel like he’s wrong and cutting him off. It’s frustrating.
I despise what she did to him for sure. She was supposed to let him talk, it’s not about her, he needed to say what he wanted to say. Dunno why she would cut him off like that. Just wrong
Hold your friends close but your enemies closer. Always watch your back with a mil like that. Just know that the toxic old woman hates everyone so don't take it personal. Worked for me for 30 yrs.
The mother seems awfully threatened by the thought of revealing her feelings or even hearing her son out . this is unhealed trauma and hurt that hasnt been properly addressed and swept under the rug for quite some time
The groom’s mom is trifling. Everyone at her big age knows that when you walk in a room, you speak! Romeo’s mother is toxic, mean spirited and bitter. Seek help lady.
Despite all the comments in the beginning, this turned out to be one of my favorite episodes. This family TRULY did the work during this exercise. And it was challenging for each and everyone involved. I wish them all the best of love, peace and harmony.
It was a beautiful episode. The groom's mom was a tough cookie but she loves her son and she came around. I wish them all continued healing and happiness
Big dude looked stupid af when she told him the reason that she left that job. So obviously his communication isnt worth much because he didnt even know the hours of the job. They all were looking for reasons to have issues
Whew, that mama is TOUGH! Leather jacket on the beach, tough….. I would just ignore her existence. If she doesn’t speak, we just won’t speak. If all you offer is tough love, you have to expect that others can’t receive or see it. She’s toxic to EVERYONE.
Facts she couldn't even have the decency to listen to her own son pour his heart out about the issues in their relationship. She's very cruel and self centered that doesn't spell love to me. She needs therapy. His wife doesn't need to subject herself to that abuse.
Righttt!!! They were calling Natasha sorry, but didn’t know all that Queen perseveres through in a daily basis. Anyone that is a caregiver automatically gets my respect because speaking from experience it’s one of the hardest jobs in the world. But we do it out of the overflowing love we have in our hearts. That love was given to his daughters too. She’s a blessing! ❤
Oh my gosh, I was thinking the same thing.... Like why does she have this leather jacket on at beach But seriously though, that was symbolic of how shut down, guarded, and disconnected she was in the relationship with her son.
It’s tempting to come to the comments before you finish the episode, but this blended family knocked down some walls and barriers that is sure to inspire some therapeutic work in some of your families.
All has been said about his mother, so it's hard to add to it, but I will. She is what has been wrong in our community for so long. The hard, bitter black woman narrative. I grew up with that and made sure to get in therapy to see my flaws. My son is always welcome to say how he feels or how my husband and I make him feel. We teach our sons to shut up and keep it in, but our daughters are to be loud. Leave mother and father and cleave to your new wife, sir. Your mom needs therapy, sir. Therapy and the Holy Spirit.
I don’t think she realizes how toxic her behavior is. Even when her son became the most vulnerable she showed no empathy almost as if it made her angry. I’m trying not to judge because she probably was treated the same in her upbringing. However I hope he breaks that toxic generational curse. Mom definitely needs Jesus Christ and therapy.
This! I have a son and a daughter and I check in with them regularly. They’re allowed to express themselves (respectfully), good, bad or otherwise. My son is 17 and he came to me the other day frustrated. He asked “Do I have permission to cuss?” 😂😂😂 He’s always so respectful, so I granted him permission. My daughter wanted to be a certain character for one day during spirit week…but she goes to a Christian high school and I didn’t think that a meth dealer would be acceptable, lol. She told her friends that she had to change characters and they asked why she would tell me. Then they said she could just sneak and change at school. Baby girl said no…and then came and shared the conversation with me. I want to raise kids that don’t need to recover from their childhood. My parents were so strict and closed off…I WAS the kid who changed in the back yard before/after school. I’m happy the mom seemed to finally have some kind of breakthrough. Took waaaay too long, though.
This man’s mother is so deeply damaged and stern she doesn’t even realize she has created scared little boy in a grown man. This man is terrified of his mother. He needs a different approach from her and she is terrified to give that to him.
There's a broken boys' spirit, that was trying to come thru the man, but Mom couldn't see thru that,..... her son, her baby needed her in THAT instant. He just NEEDED for her to LISTEN. not hear, but LISTEN. (NOT sad in a pathetic way, but just simply, sad.)

That mom got out the car like Suge Knight. I appreciate the words she told him at dinner but boy is she forceful on the words. Love how the family came together at the end.
I enjoyed this episode. It was great to see the different personalities. Everyone had a wall up and slowly but surely you start to see them coming down by the families connecting and saying what was there for them.😊😊 it interesting to see how easy it is to conclude something that you know nothing about. This episode gave me so many emotions. Love the ending tho. Thats beautiful. And they honestly are a beautiful couple/family. Everybody go through mess but how you come out on the other side matters more!
For the groom’s mother to tell her son that she loves him and is proud of him for being who he is and doing what he’s supposed to do was healing. As a child I wish more of our parents would tell us that we are enough.
I wish that his mom would have allowed him the opportunity to open up and express himself completely. Hopefully, she's had a chance to heal in order to mend her relationship with her son.
We as black women need to realize our sons need our support, love and hugs even thought we may not receive them growing up. We have to break the cycle.
This couple is the one that I rooted for the most in this entire series. Romeo and Natasha have huge hearts. I truly cried tears of joy when both families came together. I would love an update. May God continue to bless them with love and strength.
Mom feels guilty for whatever reason…. She knows she hasn’t been the best mom to him, hence she responded the way she did cause she doesn’t want to listen to her mistakes. She could’ve learned something from him. As moms we gotta learn to let our children speak so that they can heal. He’s not completely satisfied cause children do need approval from their parents especially boys from moms even when they’re adults. This is solid proof

Exactly 🎉
Not even old school, anyone with common sense
💯💯💯💯
She was rude, fr😒
For the parents to walk past the fiancé and not even speak. Whether they like her or not. Shows the immaturity
Exactly! And no home training too.
I would agree if it were not an elder.
I love how the groom was like That's gonna be my wife....period! I love that!
YAAASSSS
So why come here?
@@tamarasherleyno but for real. It’s all pointless

I agree.
When she explained how much she do before 7a and why she quit that job.....it gave me sooo much satisfaction!!! He looked sooooo stupid 😂😂😂😂😂
That’s the main thing about the episode that stuck out to me ..he tried his hardest to be shady and ended looking like a straight nincompoop

It’s giving he’s jealous of his cousin and wish he had her for himself smh family causing unnecessary problems

He hit a nerve when talking to his mom she don’t wanna hear the truth
She is so rude. She doesn’t even give him a chance to speak.
Blessings to Natasha for taking care of her mom and Romeo supporting it ❤️ 🙏
Why do others need to know how much y'all play bills unless they are reaching out and asking for money
So the mom doesn’t like her because she isn’t toxic, disrespectful and cantankerous like she is?? I hope they have a long and healthy relationship and he continues to be protective of this beautiful lady, inside and out.
That part
You can not shut his feelings down because you don't want to deal with your own feelings.
This!
I'm a mother to a son and I could never behave the way the groom's mother did. She's cold, harsh and bitter. Heal. Please.
Yessssssss!!!!!! 💯💯💯💯💯💯
Two sons and I could never🙌🏾
That mom is so bitter and angry. It's disgusting
She has a STANK AZZ attitude especially probably being the oldest one there. Some Mothers act ridiculous when it comes to their sons.

And come to find out it was her decision and not his. WOW!
I thought I would have heard some real horror stories, instead I heard the families making assumptions
Same, this episode had me exhausted
At least her family had basic manners and believed him the first time. His people were still questioning her, and you could tell they were mad she wasn't what they assumed she was. Crazy!!
Why does he have to apologize for his feelings? His mom is the cause of what’s going on.
And she don't wanna address it. She molded him to who he is.
The groom's momma SKRESSED ME ALL THE WAY OUT lol and yess! That's stressed with a HEAVY "K"!
The mother attitude is too much. No wonder the bride does not want to open up to her
Her way or the highway, she need to see a counselor.
All said and done, Natasha's a class act
I see why he marry her❤❤❤❤
His Momma needs therapy and she needs to let go all that. Because she is manipulative and wants to be the victim.
She needs her own man and life.
with that kind of character no man will want that@@Mimi-eb3sq
She's definitely angry about whatever happen in her past. She NEED to let him talk.

Her cousin is everything. The way she broke it down to the mother, finally got through to her.
His mom is bitter, old and tired. She just so mad for no reason
😂say that again, laughing in Kenyan style
Also, she better not take the bait. Do NOT call your MIL to complain about her son. It’s most definitely coming up in the court of family opinion.
Hold your friends close but your enemies closer. Always watch your back with a mil like that.
