The work that goes behind adventure elopements is EXTREME but it's also EXTREMELY gratifying. Are you guys headed towards the snow for the winter or are you chasing the sun?
Hey! You’re so right. We love doing all of the planning and logistics that goes along with elopements, rather than just showing up to film a wedding day. So much more gratifying like you say!
We are headed to the desert again this winter - Utah and then AZ and SoCal. What about you??
Do you guys fully plan the hinking part of everything ?
Yes! We thoroughly research each potential area first, based on the desires of our couples (length of hike, type of scenery, etc). Then, whenever possible, we try to scout the hikes ahead of time to ensure the best time of day / lighting / crowds / locations. We’ve hiked almost everywhere in CO, and many places throughout the Rocky Mountains and Desert Southwest in our van. Hiking is one of our biggest passions that we get to bring into our work!
Can i ask what mic you used on them? Such clear sound!
Thank you! We used the Rode Wireless Go (amzn.to/39NhXeB) on the bride and the Sony ICD-UX 560 (amzn.to/39Pr7qU) with a lav mic on the groom. Our personal vlog audio was captured by our vlogging camera, a Panasonic LX-10 (amzn.to/2PhCG0Q)
Acts of Adventure was there a lav mic attached to the rode system on the bride? Or did u just use the built in mic?
We just used the built in mic. We strapped it under her sweater to her bra strap so you couldn’t see it.
Wow did you guys self solomize your wedding?
They did!! And their awesome dog even “signed” their marriage license. Colorado’s laws make it a wonderful state to elope.
Did the bride do the hair and makeup before the hike or when she got there?
She did it mostly before the hike! It was a very cold hike, and only 2 miles each way, so not much sweating going on. They changed into their wedding clothes at the lake and she did some final touch ups there before the first look & ceremony!
