A little tip on those hydrocolloid patches: they work wonders on mosquito bites too. Takes the itch out, impossible to mindlessly scratch and makes them disappear quicker as well.
Thank you!
@@BoNaarden amazing tip! Thank you x
that is BRILLIANT .. I get eaten alive on holidays and I am really allergic to some insect bites .. this could be, quite literally, a lifesaver for me when I am on holibobs!!!! thank you
@@maireadweaver8952well thank you for introducing me to the word holibobs, I'm going to use that one haha! Hope the mosquitos are not too hungry this summer 🤞
Wow - as a Floridian, this is lifechanging!
Girl...bring on the "Not so Sexy" videos anytime. I thoroughly enjoyed it and have most in my cart. I am sure the body oil is fabulous but I can't imagine ever replacing my Castor Oil. Great job!
@@swiggett2000 maybe the video should be called "unsexy beauty products for super sexy results"
I started using the ELF foundation this week. I'm an Estée Lauder Double Wear girl. I LOVE this!! We are all sexy in our own way ❤
I am using and I was surprised by and love the Elf Glam Satin Foundation. I kept looking at my super high magnifying mirror in awe.
Hi, I’m 59 and I’m loving the milky toner. I use it twice daily and my skin drinks it up! I’ve been loving the way my skin is looking! 🫶🌷
Thank you, Gemma, for this very helpful video. I'm trying to give up high end products in favour of cheaper ones due to the cost of living, so this video was just what I needed. 😊❤😊❤
I have an unsexy one too, Arnica creme for bruises. This works really well on pimples, the hormonal ones.
I love arnica ampules to take orally, plus I love the gels and creams too. xxx
I LOVE Arnica creme! It works so good for bruising!
I use this for my under eye darkness too, works fantastic
I have to say a huge THANK YOU! I didn’t know about the Aveeno oil and what a game changer for me! I also don’t care for fragrance but this really smells divine!! ☺️🇨🇦
Hi for those with the issues of yellow foundation I use a bright purple blush to neutralise them. We’re all told to use blue, but blue turns yellow green (great for an olive undertone) whereas purple truly cools it down. For a foundation that is too orange blue works fabulously, but for yellow you need purple (just colour theory after all). I use the made by Mitchell blursh in Dairy Queen btw. Best wishes x
Also, a very affordable makeup brand that I tried on a whim called AmorUS has a purple primer that truly perfects my complexion. They also make very affordable brushes; I especially like the silicone ones.
The blush video didn’t come up in notifications! Will search for it now!❤
I love the Ordinary Toner I put mine in a spray bottle so much easier to use .
Well I have been using no 7
From boots and I am very impressed
I have a couple of foundation's and a bb cream
Really good stuff 😊
I do watch all your vlogs. I think it must be really demanding to produce different content for each one and I applaud the levels you go to in providing information that covers a wide age range. Thank you!
@@carolinerabjohn9323 thank you x
Great recs, thanks! I prefer a lip balm I can apply without fingers for my handbag, to avoid worrying my hands aren't clean enough.
Hi Gemma, I really like the matte setting spray from Revolution Love from NYC xog
I agree. Love this video!
Love this video! Thank you, Gemma. You always give the best tips and recommendations. 😊
Thank you Gemma. Very useful video. Ill certainly be trying the Milky Toner, the Elf soft glam satin foundation and the Aveeno body oil spray.
you always look glowing
Immediately put several of these in my cart. Thank you!
Great video. I have new products to explore! I haven't noticed the new stuff from The Ordinary and The Inky List. Thank-you.
I love your videos, another great one thank you! 😊x
I love & use The O exfoliating toner. Love it. Also, love the body oil! Thanks for mentioning it. I’ve forgotten all about it. Now, I’ll get it again! Ordered the O lip balm. Can’t wait to try it. Great video!❤
Does the Aveeno body oil have any scent?
what can you suggest is the best Hydration Face Mist for dry mature skin. Thanking you in advance. I just love your channel. Your skin looks absolutely gorgeous.
Another great video Gemma thank you!
For some reason I also didn’t get any notification of the blusher wars video 🤷🏻♀️
Didn’t get a notification on the blusher video will search for it now x
I am going to need the body oil after my vacation when I have to go back home to a very dry climate. So my tan hopefully won’t peel off like it did in years past. Thank goodness I watched your video today and thank you for sharing this.
Fun. I’m so early this time!
Thanks Gemma enjoyed the video see you soon ❤
Thanks for this video, Gemma. The elf foundation is too yellow for me also. (I'm a foundation twin with you but opted for the 20 light cool.) They sell a Camo Correcter in blue that helps with this foundation. You may want to check it out!
Pimple patches could be useful for those with the conditon where they feel obsessively drawn to picking their skin or lips. Dermatillomania.
On going to try the Aveeno oil, see if it's a more affordable option to my kopari oil. Great video 💙
Thank you for the milky toner recommendation. I have used a more expensive brand but couldn't get myself to pay the price anymore.
Gonna watch the blush vid
Hi Gemma, this is a bit of a random question please? I have recently stopped biting my nails - however my nails, after years of unconsciously munching on them, are really paper thin and 'tear' easily. It is fine when I have managed to get them shellac-ed as they are really strong then, however I think I should probably be using a treatment to strengthen them before going to get them painted. What do you recommend (you have lovely nails BTW) and is there any product I could use over shellac/biobab that would help? (I take collagen daily BTW). Thanks a mill. BTW your skin looks phenomenal today. xx
Loved this video ! Can we have another 😍
I am a huge fan of the Neutrogena sesame body oil. I get the unscented. Usually $14 USD.
I'm loving the elf foundation ,who cares if it's not sexy as long as it does the job . I'm also moving away from high end products xx
Not everything is pretty in life! As long as it works....bring it!
You said to leave the ordinary toner on for 5 minutes and then go on with your skincare. Do you wash it off? Why wait 5 minutes? For it to dry down?
I like to make sure it’s fully absorbed and my face is dry before moving on to my next product x
Hi Gemma, I am trying so hard to Not Make any Purchases until fall big sales with The Ordinary and for sure will be picking the lip Tx., and the Milky toner up. I for sure am going to look for The Aveeno Body Oil spray. Great 7 unsexy recommendations sweetie. Thank you.
I use the acotye pimple patches and they come in multiple sizes. Great when you have a tiny spot or a massive honking one 😂
Also I must confess I didn't watch the blush wars video because I don't use blush, sorry Gemma ❤
Brilliant Video, also I am not a blush girl as have rosy cheeks but I watched the video, think you might find that many are away on holiday.
@@M0RRGIE thank you xxx
Gemma, could you let us know what your mum thinks about the elf foundation please? I'm 54 with dry skin, so it would be useful to have her thoughts, ty x
Video coming soon x
Have you tried the Vieve setting spray? I was HUGELY surprised. It has absolutely knocked the Charlotte Tilbury one clean off the HG spot. It is absolutely superb
I haven’t but I will xxx
Ooh, I'll have to give The Ordinary toner a try. I'm sad to say I haaaated the Aveeno. The smell was not my favourite and it never quite sank into my skin.
That’s a shame. Xxx
Do you use the milky toner in the morning? x
Yes x
Do you prefer to use the ordinary lip balm or inkey list? Both seem similar 😊
@@littlevoice_11 very similar. The ordinary one suits me better x
@PamperedWolf thank you. P.s. I heard you say that your blusher video didn't perform as well in terms of viewer stats. But I wanted you to know I still appreciate your content and often bookmark them to refer to in the future as well.
@@littlevoice_11 thank you xxx
What retinol do you use friend
I ‘think’ she using an online service, DERMATICA (worth getting a reply from her though) If you ate not in the U.K. there are similar options, mat least in the U.S.
Does your Mother use the milky toner?
Thanks for the video! ❤
Yes she's testing it out at the moment x
Yes I do - just used it now😀x
I've seen some USA vbloggers, including Tati, talk about Catrice. I've never really heard much about them. Is it worth a brand deep dive? 😮
@@littlevoice_11 already on it x
Enjoyed this video and I'll be having a look at those pimple patches for my teenage grandson who has the occasional unwelcome hormonal "friend" and he does get a bit self conscious, so thanks for the heads up 👍🙂. Don't suppose they do a giant mahoosive patch just to get rid of body fat 🤔...... asking for a friend 🙄😂
@@maureenormston8356 haha! X
Gemma you are the best! ❤. Please bring on more unsexy videos. You have great video ideas! 😊❤️
Bummed the body oil has soybean oil as the #1 ingredient. I am allergic to soy (it’s one of the top 10 allergens). It’s cheap, and I find that a lot of the cheaper drugstore products use it as a main ingredient.
That’s a shame x
❤ loved products don’t have to be sexy. They just need to do the job.
