Asking somebody to move away when they have just paid for your food and are standing in a public street is just plain rude and obnoxious. I remember working in a trendy coffeeshop on the weekends which my friend owned and there is absolutely no way I would ever show such a lack of gratitude and respect for a customer like that whilst I was working there. Ironically he had to sack a couple of the girls he hired as they were a bit too apathetic, hipstery too cool for school and were not warm with the customers at all and he got rid of them after a few months, you can have an off day but you cant tell a customer to move in a public place outside the premesis. You wouldnt expect that in Ireland either.
Paid for the food or not, they have no right to tell anyone to move from outside their shop. They don't own the street outside!
Given that he's reviewing the food, and hundreds of thousands of people could well be viewing, that was a really dumb-arsed thing to do.
Not really, people dressed in dark clothes with caps, blocking the entrance could scare away other customers. Sadly the time and place we are in, too many ASBO youths clogging up entrances, standing in the way, who give ppl hassle. They might not be like that but how would a passing customer know that?

Kebab looks shite. Needed to be toasted and rolled tightly. Pizza lokks shite. Being asked to move from a public thoroughfare 😂. 8/10 for gaff. 1/10 for food.

Treating paying customers like that, its a public street FFS, If you were blocking a couple of dozen customers gaining access to her establishment, then I could kind of understand, but getting an earful after spending your hard earned money and standing in a public place is crazy. 6.9 was way too high
They were standing outside the door. Why would you block the entrance for other customers? Then get upset when your lack of manners is pointed out.

Good answer, Matt. Loved how you handled that, mate. My partner and I had a similar thing happen to us at a food festival in Yorkshire. There was a stall selling burgers with about 15-20 empty tables, and I had sat down to feed my son his bottle. Next thing this wife came over basically staying a we had to move.... I don't think so, love. 🤡
You think an owner of a business should provide you with a place to feed your sprog? Why? Pay for something if you want to use their facilities.

She did ask politely, just arrived and didn't know what was going on but seeing someone filming outside. She didn't argue with you. I think you can let that go mate.
All the more reason you should be polite to customers.
She wasn't really polite, a bit of tolerance and decency goes a long way, considering he gave her a decent score it would've been good for trade.
shouldn't give places like this the time of day when they make awful food like that. There are so many of them around and they are such a rip off when you can go today shawarma and it is like £5 with fresh made bread and salad.
You need to go back to Colmans Seafood Temple and try more than their fish and chips. Also whilst in the north east, try Romanos Bistro in Cleadon (near South Shields), great food

If you go to Belfast try Spence’s on the Beersbridge Road for great Fish & Chips, and their Pasties

You need to try Sergio’s pizza in lower cathrine street Newry . It’s not fancy it’s old school Woodfired pizza . Not one of the new fancy ovens and the place could use some brightness but his pizzas are amazing

Great video as always, the steak in that kebab looked p!ss poor quality and as a proud Northern Irelander I can only apologise for the unnecessarily rude treatment from the staff. Based on that alone I'd score them a very generous 1.

The best Kebab (non-greasy, price okay and good service) has to be Kebab House in Lisburn. Not brilliant reviews on Google reviews but I'm not sure why, always consistently a decent quality kebab.

You need to get back to Berlin for the Kebabs, you should try Ruyam Gemuse Kebab 2 has nearly 20,000 reviews with a 4.9 rating

I think all Turkish kebab shops should be getting a 9/10 for their kebabs, at the end of the day that's what they're meant to be known for.
Unfortunately where I live in Barrow in Furness, the average score is probably 5, there just is no consistency.

@MacS34 they're called kebab shops for a reason. The kebabs they sell should be consistently good, it's not rocket science.
All a good kebab is is nice flame grilled meat, fresh salad and a nice bread (not pre bought pitta) and some nice homemade sauces.
I've started cooking my own pizzas and making dough etc. That pizza looked undercooked. Too white. Not cooked in a proper oven. Kebab. Its gotta be a doner. End of. Good for you for not moving on. Bloody rude of her.

Sigh, the food did look decent for 'after a few dozen pints' , but Newry was only famous for being the closest NI town for Irish to buy cheaper beer cheaper.

Theees a petrol station/ superstore in newry that got a deli. And sell fresh food. It brilliant. I go there when im in scania getting service

Got tge train from Dublin just to go to Flout last week. Loved it but first time in Belfast and didn't know it was in East Belfast, thought it was in the city. Was a bit nervy walking passed UDA murials and the like, but all worth it.

This reminds me, one of my favourite pizzas in Dublin is the 14" stuffed crust pepperoni and cheese from Multi Pizza on The Coombe, just off Patrick Street. They also do kebabs and they're mainly from Pakistan so a lot of food from that part of the world. I'm not sure if it's a kebab shop pizza or pizza shop kebabs... 🤔
