Ran a spud unit in a food court for 10 years, they look great, never gave 3 halves, used a size 40 potato, did 20 different fillings, makes me think of doing it again ... great review... and not too many "bruv's"either!....
I think the most impressive thing for me is the prices, he could be rinsing people because he blew up on social media but he hasn't and kept it affordable

We went today! Totally mirror everything you said. Well worth a fiver and the travel! A decent portion and a great chilli. I’ve watched the video where he makes the chilli and the only thing I’d add is to maybe dry fry the spices first just to intensify the flavour. However, as it stands, it doesn’t need changing. It’s a very humble and honest delicious meal prepared with absolute love. ❤

North Carolina born and raised. We used to do a similar thing when i was younger at bonfires, campgrounds, and 4H camps albeit slightly different. quarter potatoes add ground beef cheese onions peppers season and add quarter stick of butter wrap in foil and bury it in the embers.
The best spuds you can source are usually from Lancashire, (Banks, Southport) Lincolnshire too and like he said the fenlands Cambridgeshire/ Norfolk .. All them places are coastal an get good balance of saltwater, sand and the best soil, Jersey an Cyprus as well 👍
It really does depend on the type of potato. I live near banks and have been transporting potatoes in my lorry for over 10 years, Cambridgeshire is definitely the best place for chipping potatoes with Pembrokeshire a close second. Herefordshire/Shropshire and east Scotland is the best for baking potatoes and Cornwall for new potatoes. Lancashire produce good bakers and chippers but certainly wouldn’t say they are the best in the country.

My favourite topping on a baked potato is real butter, fried and raw onion chopped up small, cheddar cheese and chopped up bits of fried back bacon with a bit of black pepper 😋.

I love good honest food, especially people that stick to local produce. £5 is not cheap but not expensive and the guys isn’t greedy! He could have stuck another couple of quid on top once pps kept on coming so good on him.

Yeah got have a crispy skin and fluffy inside, but you can a lot of stuff on, but don't knock it I like scrambled egg a nice sloppy one. And if want some heat a bit of Tabasco try it
You've also got to see he's doing abit more then the usual spud man. Who has fried onions as a topping? He's a humble man and he gives a good portion size

Jacket potato is a favourite meal of mine x my fave is the classic beans and cheese ...with loads of butter...and yes ...you gotta eat the skin ..but i always put hot pepper sauce (Encona) in my beans to spice them up...hint for Spudman lol...x
