That dog got so freaking lucky that he ended up with someone who cared enough to give him the time to just heal and adjust. I can only imagine how difficult it must have been. There must have been days where they felt like nothing was helping or improving. But they stuck with it and gave him the love and time he needed.
They fell into a dark place and found a doggy friend to crawl back out with. Very sweet of them. ❤
As a close friend of Florian and Kathrin I have to say that Fausto is one of the best behaved, sweetest and funniest dogs I've ever met!!

Mine is a rescue too, she was dumped. She was afraid of everything. Even if the oven turned she ran. Good by year one. It’s now year four. She sleeps with me. Yours has made remarkable progress. Ours would run away if loose. The house is surrounded with dog gates. I’m so happy to have her.

It’s awful to lose a child, but then you found a furry one that needed you just as much. Thank you for rescuing Fausto and carrying on the message that buying isn’t better, it just leads to more pups ending up in shelters or euthanized. I wish you many, many years of love and laughter with your fur baby. He cannot replace what was lost, but he can be a channel for all the love you have to give.
There's always something about the dog's eyes that speak to us. You can never go wrong adopting these lovely creatures. In return, it's always the trust and the love that binds us together. ❤

Thank you for not giving up on Fausto. Most people who adopt dogs that need extra work to settle in don't have that kind of commitment, patience and love.
You gave him bal the wonder of having a family and giving him love. He gave back by getting you to feel better when you needed it the most. I’d say is a win, win for your little family. Fausto will return that love and security when his brother or sister comes to your world. ♥️♥️🥰

We lost our granddaughter at full term. My daughter’s little Yorkie saved her life. Dogs really live in the present and teach us so many things. My heart goes out to you both. 3:04. He looks like a baby angel. I know of another dog like this, it took about a year total and all idiosyncrasies disappeared. He is a a baby doll. He loves you so much. Don't forget him when you do get a baby, it will happen. God bless.

Oddly enough, he bears some strong characteristics of a Carolina Dog (a land race or pariah dog of the SE US) in his chassis, head shape, face and tail as well as his coloring. Congratulations on this life changing experience for all of you!
