Always!! This beautiful pup looks so much like mine... I have an all-white husky who is often mistaken for a white shepherd. This boy is lucky to have made a friend like you 🥲
11/27/23 - Asher has been ADOPTED! He is getting neutered first, then will be going home today. Congratulations Asher - looks like our boy will be spending the rest of this holiday season with a loving family!
am glad he has gone to a loving family, and to be with his new forever family...happ thanksgiving Asher, may you have some lovely times with your forever family
it blows my mind that someone as pure as this man exists in the veritable sh**storm that is the internet/social media. Thank you for sharing your kindness with the world... we all need a reminder to slow down and take time to connect with other living souls.
You just blew my heart wide open. My Thanksgiving-born son Asher died 11.5 years ago and we acknowledged what would have been his 28th birthday on Thanksgiving 2023. I burst into tears the moment you chose the name Asher for this beautiful good boy. I so hope a good human makes space in their life for Asher ♥️🐾♥️
I’m so deeply sorry for your loss. Asher is a beautiful name, it’s what I chose for my son after I read that it meant felicitous. I hope you were surrounded by love this Thanksgiving. Hugs from a random internet stranger down under 🐨🤗
My husband and I are hoping to adopt a dog this weekend. His owner is in the hospital with a broken neck from an auto accident. The owner knows he will never be able to take care of a big dog again. The dog ("Red") has been living for a month (since the accident) with friends, who can no longer keep him because he is nervous around their baby. They are related to our neighbors, who suggested us as a possible new home for Red. We will meet Red this weekend. This video helps me better understand how to get acquainted with a frightened, confused dog. We'll sit on the floor and have plenty of treats available. He must miss his owner terribly and we hope we can help him be happy again. Wish us luck!
Then maybe you could volunteer your time to help the crying dog. Or better yet why don't you take him home forever. He will not cry no more. He was only one person.
Thank you. If you feel compassion and are high sensitive to this video's, you are the best comrad to a pupper and a dream of a man for a woman who feels the same... 🍀🦮🐕🦺🐕💚
@@jamiedurling6176 I did watch the entire video, but their cries still make my heart break… since I have been in rescuing for many decades, I feel for them…
What a "soft mouth" he has, he's going to be a great family member when he figures out, he's safe and everyone is on his side now. And Rocky would know nails trimmed or worn from surfaces- So I SAY,......, someone is looking for their pup.
If all the good "pure" people stayed OFF the internet, refusing to give a sh-t about 12yr old US or 22 yr old Russian trollers, the internet would TRULY be the swamp that you perceived. Hey, do you ever go to beautiful music sites, or spiritual or scientific sites that make you feel good about people? I hope so!!!🎉
I am a woman in long-term recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, and I love how much you love these animals! All of us struggle and we can pay it forward for them too!
I noticed the dog in the next stall became more vocal when he was saying ‘Good boy’ . I felt the dog was frustrated because he recognised those words and responded to it 😞.
When a friendly stray dog came into our yard we kept him there to keep him safe until we found his owner. My kids and I played a game to figure out what his name was by saying vowel sounds and watching to see what he responded to. We landed on "Lucky". Within 2 days, his happy owners reclaimed "Buck". 😊
With family waiting for this year's Christmas Boat parade. I pulled up your videos to show while waiting. My brother in law immediately said " I want to do that ". How do you start out with this ?

My problem is I would be crying about every dog that was there and want to take all of them home and I’m sure you’d love to as well. It’s just so heartbreaking.
That's wonderful Thomas! I love dogs and have had 3 but would be too nervous to do this kind of work -- I really admire anyone who can do this kind of work to help save so many dogs.
I noticed that Arthur didn't even wolf down his dinner like many dogs do in the company of other people. If I lived over there (I'm in the UK) I would adopt him in a heartbeat. He will make his new home a safe, fun and friendly place and his new family will feel very lucky to have him. Do you know?
I can't stand seeing these poor dogs that really want a home and they're stuck in that cage without a home. It's breaks my heart. I wish I could take them all.
This beautiful white shepherd broke my heart, he is so scared and yet so very gentle and definitely deserved his “barksgiving” lunch! I hope someone falls in love with him and gives him the home, love, care and respect that is his right? Sending positive thoughts for Asher the stunning white shepherd!!
White shepherds are special. I had one many years ago, never could figure out if he was so dumb or so smart. I finally figured he was smart enough to know when to play dumb.
@@5610winston my mum also has one and he is literally dumb. like out of the breeder-group he was "weird" to begin with. they even checked for brain issue but he doesn't have one. he is literally not smart and often just stands there because he doesn'T understand xD he is also not easy to handle. thing is white shepherds have to be handled right when a pup. they need clear rules or later they will become unbearable.
Yes beautiful dog so gentle and intelligent ❤️🐾 He deserves to go to a good home . I pray he does. Thank you Rocky for sharing Barksgiving with him. I gave my 2 rescue dogs turkey.and mashed potatoes and gravy and they love it. ❤🐕💕🐶 Asher is a great name and a tribe from Israel.
@@5610winston i've never seen someone else with this story!! He sounds like a truly special companion ♥️ my parents rescued Aussies; we realized our giant "dumb muscle" Aussie-Catahoula was ONLY dumb when he knew we were watching (you "forgot" where your toys are? the drawer YOU OPENED 10 minutes ago?) Only of 3 aussies to pass & be certified as a therapy dog too. loved watching Cujo on the TV, "talked"/yowled back like a husky.... R.I.P. Pepper "Best Dog Ever" Jack, your short life was the highlight of ours
My sweet Cassie was a cruelty case. She spent 2 years in the shelter. My husband and I fell in love with her picture. We hired a wonderful trainer. He trained us and Cassie. We had her for 7 wonderful years. She walked across the rainbow bridge in 2017. I miss her everyday. Thank u for featuring dogs that need special attention.
I have had my rescue for 14 years. She was so frightened and hated to be touched. All these years later and she is the most loving and faithful friend ever. Thank you so much for reaching out to these dogs and making their day a bit brighter ✌❤
I have 2 rescues, one for 2 years and one for about a year and a half Both came from abusive homes, one was severe physical abuse She was so terrified of humans she would shake if you came near her and pee herself if your foot came close when walking by Flash forward to now: They are 2 of the sweetest dogs on earth! Gracie (the very abused one) took about 6 months of solid and slow, VERY slow, steps of TLC and she is now my stalker! She has to be near me or have me in sight and she has lost all fear of humans! My neighbors love my dogs and bring them treats to my screened in front porch and when I have a friend in the house both dogs go crazy just wanting love and pets. Too bad us humans are unable to truly let go of a troubled past because apparently once a dog decide to let go, it is GONE! Please, anyone reading this, do not hesitate to adopt a dog who needs special attention IF you have a quiet house and lots of time and patience.
I adopted a dog from a am elderly man who was up in years and could care for the dog like he wanted to it was heart breaking for him, I’m really glad I did, I had lost the family dog due to illness and I missed him terribly.. so this dog follows me everywhere his name is Lucky ❤ he’s such a sweetheart and loves everybody and gets so excited when someone comes to visit and funny oh goodness he’s a character
I am 78 now. I've had 7 dog rescues and over 50cat rescues in my life. Two of my pups came from the Animal Defense League. The others were all street rescues. each camew with issues and turned out to be the most fabulous pups! Each lived to a be a an old dog. There were illnesses along the way sure. But there was so much joy and love and laughter the only things I would change were my responses to some illnesses. Oh how I loved my puppies!!!!!! ❤️🐾❤️
@@patrickplayspokerbadly6230 very nice! They definitely need a lot of patience and understanding in the first few months. Once they learn to trust again it is a beautiful thing witness. Mine would not come near me for about 3 weeks but always wanted one of my socks with her when she slept. Now the only issue is she is now extremely attached to me and never wants to be alone ... ever! It can be challenging when going places but most people know that if I am being invited then so is the dog and it always works out. Plus she loves children and other dogs and has never been aggressive. She will be 15 in June.
I’ve had my former puppy mill momma for 11 years. She would pull back when you tried to pick her up to get in the car for about 9 years. Certain beeping noises would set her off. She’s deaf now and for the first time in her life, she’s relaxed. She was my second rescue, both Cairns. But they were night and day because she was damaged by a greedy, lazy human who profited off her. No dog deserves to be mistreated or not loved. They have the purest hearts and they can love when loved, no matter the hurt they’ve gone thru.
My first rescue was in similar shape. I walked past the kennel three times and each time she hid in the back peeking through the opening. When they went to get her for the meet and greet. It took three attendants to get her. Forty minutes later she came and sniffed my foot. It took her 2 months to stay in the same room as me. Best dog ever ❤.
With our current dog, the experience started out the same as yours - she was cowering on her little bed in the back of the cage while all the other dogs were barking - but she was easy to handle, and basically crawled in my lap, then my wifes, and then back into mine. She was just so happy to be away from the other dogs. Still, best dog ever - she's been with us now longer than she's been in every other home and shelter combined.
Lol! Same but different here. I walked past her kennel and each time she was the only dog sitting down but wagging her tail. I was scared of dogs so the others all jumping and barking frightened me. For a month I don't know which of us was more scared! I'd go to touch her and she'd move away, she came near me and I freaked!! We were together over 16 years and I adored her as much as she did me - 3 collies later I still miss her. They are wonderful creatures and only need a bit of love x
@@davidhendrix4612 maybe they didn't, but is that so bad? I tried myself to watch the entire video, but I had to leave before the end and sometimes you just can't get back to things. And they asked, they didn't accuse. Be kind ❤
I love this guy. He is a blessing. It is just so sad to hear that other dog crying so much. Praying he or someone goes and gives him some love too 💔🙏❤️🐕
Hi, I would just like to let you know, because it is so so so important for our species. That prayer gets in the way of real solutions. People often choose prayer over medical care for example, this leads them into really bad spots, or worse. People pray instead of actually doing their bit to help. I know you think prayer works, but all the statistics and evidence shows prayer only has negative effects. I imagine you're thinking, 'why won't you just leave me be and let me have my beliefs.' Well, it's people believing things without sufficient evidence that leads to so many problems in the world. I'm sorry, but you don't have sufficient evidence. You may believe you do, but that's only because you likely have never learned about standards of evidence, or when evidence is sufficient to warrant reaching a conclusion. If you are interested in learning more, I'll be happy to help you. Recovering from religion is a long journey, the first victims of any religion are its followers.
@@WhoThisMonkeybruh... this person is not causing harm whatsoever, and is wishing for the best for the other dog crying in the shelter. It is not your place to try and force people to stop being religious. Disrespectful and not cool.
@@ASCENSiON_ he has a point and he is not trying to force anyone to do anything.. do you also think that @jcncgn is also forcing people to pray? to choose between sending thoughts and prayers and actually donating or adopting a dog which do you think would do the most good for the dog?
Rocky, you may not be an official expert, but you know how to help dogs come out of their shell. Your patience and care does wonders! You made that dog very happy. Happy Barksgiving!
I don't think he needs to be this cautious around this dog. Just giving him treats with eye contact will do it quicker. He just is trying to squeeze out a 11m video on 30 seconds worth of content
@PostSasso He is trying to show an apparently neglected dog that not ALL humans are evil or mean! He did this smartly, making him a lot more apt to be adopted within a very short time of becoming eligible. If he had just rushed in, chances are the dog would either (1) have cowered in the corner or (2) attempted to attack him reasonably quickly because he doesn't seem to trust people, and it's just possible that he has good reasons to be that way!
Oh what a sweet gentle baby! I had a sweet sweet dog named Lilly for 17 years, she was the sweetest most gentle dog just like this guy. ❤ so so fun to watch him enjoy his yummy food ❤
My best friend was a white shepherd. I gotta tell ya that i never met a more intuitive, intelligent, and sensitive living thing than that animal. They are not “pets” they are friends. Thank you for treating Asher as he would treat you. I hope you adopted him because white shepherds are special.
My white shepherd was also my best friend, he crossed the rainbow bridge 6 years ago and even now my heart is still broken. Will never get another dog like him. Immaculate temperament, impeccable behaviour and so so clever. He lived for his family and I will always have a huge hole in my heart that his paws once filled. I hope this beautiful shepherd finds himself a loving family. He deserves to be loved unconditionally.
I feel so sorry for the doggo in other cage crying and barking for desperate attention from that man...especially when he heard hum tell Asher, "Good boy!".
Every time you ask for a dog's name, I always think of "Sprocket." As for "Asher," did you know there's a man named Asher who owns a "ranch" & has ctr'd his life around adopting "last chance dogs"? He raises vegetables for them & feeds good dog, too. He's very careful when adding a new dog to the pack. They see him as the Alpha & trust him not to let them get hurt in any way. He caters to the needs of each one, whether they're seniors or have medical issues he makes sure that in addition to his love, he provides for their nutritional & medical needs. He has a converted mini bus so he can take them all on outings. He's a neat guy.
It is called The Asher House and I love his videos, the dogs worship him as he does them. It is in Oregon. There is one in Austraila called The Farm love to watch them both. Also I live next to Austin where a guy with a bus picks up the animals to go to doggie daycare. I think the farm closed in 2022 but his videos are still on you tube and so much fun.
All three of my dogs have been rescued and I want EVERYBODY to know that a rescued dog is a loving dog. They know you rescued them and they show it. Keep up your good work with these dogs.
We have two dogs that were rescued but not through a rescue we just took them in when they needed a home. We also have 11 month old brother and sisters the female is deaf and I can't imagine our home without them although it's a lot of responsibility. They have a large fenced yard, lots of love and give us back more. You are so kind God will bless you.
Same. I've just adopted a Cane Corso his, family lost their home and can't take him where their going they've lived and cared for him so well it's really sad. So you can get "pure" bred dogs in shelters if that's what you care about, that would rule you out for adopting imo, adopt don't shape these dogs are amazing and it's not their fault they're in a shelter.
I had a Black Cat rescued from a snowstorm on a Massachusetts Highway. Indeed, she knew & appreciated she had been rescued because she was facing death on that freezing night when a lady passenger in a truck began to hit her husband with a newspaper while yelling "Stop, Stop, Stop". Then, "back up slowly!".
The week before Thanksgiving, I fostered a 15 year old German shepherd. He got to spend Thanksgiving with me and relatives. I still have him and he's been spoiled daily since. He really loved the turkey and enjoys a comfy bed.
Thank you for using the term 'companion'...they are not children but animals in their own right. I think the need for some humans to infantalise them can lead to problems down the road...just my thoughts. Great work, Rocky and team.
He is such a beautiful dog. My cousins had a white German Shepherd named Buck. Anybody old enough to remember the Jack LaLanne show and his dogs ? Thanks Rocky....Happy Thanksgiving !
you allow this pup to cry too long.....move on a little faster in your next video....how would you like it if you were hungry and someone teased you this way?????
This boy will take time to acclimate to his new home, but when he does, look out. He is going to overload his new family with love and loyalty beyond compare. Happy Barksgiving to everyone out there who appreciates what the Rocky team has done over the years.
@@autumnangel3001 Feel the same and live even further away. We humans got an responsibility to dogs. We created them, not GOD, who made wolfes. They are our first creation and our responsibility to care for. They are made to be our best friends.
He reads like a dream and he's definitely open to interaction. He sought direct eye contact, is alert and engaged, courteous....tons of hope here. Nice to see someone competent with dogs for a change, too.
Yep. He'll let someone pet him when he knows them. Shepherds aren't like labs - they don't love everyone indiscriminately. You have to earn their love 😅
Omg listen to that poor pup n3xt door who KNOWS whats happening on and is DESPERATELY trying to co municate that HE too needs attention and ❤ LOVE...breaks my heart
I have a Swiss White Shepherd and it breaks my heart to see a white shepherd this forlorn and lonely in a cell. 😭 They are among the most sensitive, affectionate, attentive and smart dogs you can have but they are also very guarded and can be reactive if not trained and cared for. I sincerely hope this beautiful boy finds a loving home soon ❤ Thanks so much for sharing some love with him today!
We have a swiss shepherd as well. And Asher looks just like him. He is probably not used to petting on your lap ( or sitting on a sofa eg). I also didn't read any fear or stress in his earpositions. Try playing with a ball, most of these shepherds looooove that. Greetings from the Netherlands. P.s. They usually love scratching on their shoulders, hip and chest.
I also had one, lived until fifteen and half, she was great dog and got melanoma. Found out white dogs get it more than others and there is a melanoma vaccine (which is expensive but worth the money).
What’s sad about this is that this dog has belonged to someone who obviously took great care of him. He’s polite, gentle, calm, very sweet and lovable. His fear and sadness probably stem from being separated from his family. What is strange, is it doesn’t appear that anyone is looking for him. That’s heartbreaking because he’s a wonderful dog. If I was where you are, I’d want to adopt him, but I already have 2 dogs and that’s really all I can handle! I hope he finds a good home. 😢
@@paulatiredofthisshitya know, I never even considered that but you’re absolutely right. He’s so sweet…..and that’s why I’ve given instructions to my brother about my 2 dogs if anything happens to me.
No great sentimental rubbish, no theatricals, tells it how it is, works on the dogs psyche and achieves success...what a nice kind guy...just the man to change a dogs idea of what life should be.....well done...
He is just one person and doing the job of an army of neglecters. He really do a great difference for those poor souls including the one who's barking in the background. I think the best thing to do for ppl who find faults in his videos is the ppl to personally get involved and do something
Hi...don't know why you were alone for Thanksgiving but there are worse things. I spent one alone. It was better than arguing with my parents! It was peaceful and I was able to nap!!! Lol What about Christmas? Will you be alone then, too? Let me know!!!
Asher doesn't look aggressive, he's food-motivated, and he makes quick transitions from cautiousness to trust if you treat him right. I don't see a reason why he wouldn't be a great adoptee.
I think this dog actually looked quite calm compared to other dogs you had a sit in with. He wasn't barking, wasn't trying to hide, wasn't pushing himself into the wall. He was just looking curious.
Just love and a good home there is nothing wrong with this dog its smart and is like why and wtf . Got lost just been a while its to well behaved that dog was cared for
All the dogs are crying for Barksgiving! Feed them all a special meal. ❤ a HUGE thank you to you and your team for your endless and unconditional love!
My same reaction when I first saw his videos. He is such a BLESSING. I wish I was in a position to do more cuz these dogs break my heart. I love ALLLLLLLLLL of them.❤❤❤
Does anyone else find themselves talking to the dog when Rocky is with the dogs, telling them it’s okay and good dog? I hope so, I don’t want to feel like I’m the only silly dog lover, lol.
Asher is beautiful! I love his looks. All dogs are beautiful and their souls are the most beautiful things on Earth! I adored watching him enjoy his barksgiving dinner. I think i heard a couple snorts haha. He is precious! All my love to all the pups there and everywhere who need a little extra encouragement ❤❤❤
Nobody likes jail. Everybody wants to be free. As soon as he gets out of there, he'll come back alive. He's beautiful. The other dog crying is asking for help too. He's stressing me out. He needs help.
I jave been watching your loving videos for a few weeks now from England. I had 2 malamutes for 12 years, they passed away 12 yesrs ago. They brought me and I brought them so much joy and happiness. They were my travel companions when i left Italy on a three day train + ferry journey for Sweden. It was the most beautiful journey i ever spent. The lovely people i met who fell in love with Noatak and Shadow i will never forget their kindness to me. We even slept on the floor of the ferry terminal one night when we missed the night ferry. You are an inspiration, Mr Kanaka, how blessed are all the dogs that have the good fortune to cross your path. Thank you and keep up the super work
Asher has nicer eating manners than my girls. He's impressive. Needs love! And someone will get it tenfold in return when they adopt him. Be happy and well! 🐾
I've been a cat lover my whole life. I stumbled onto your channel & I'm fascinated by the way you treat these unknown dogs. Thanks for being an advocate and for sitting with dogs.
You have far more friends, the 2 legged type, than You realize. You are a very humble Man. A great quality. Love what You do! We would do the same. Our friend owns a No Kill shelter, the animals, of all kind, get treated like royalty.. Love going out to see all of them. Dogs, hundreds of cats, 2 donkeys, it is so cool what this woman does.
I had a white German Shephard that looked just like this beautiful dog. His name was Dakota, and aside from having separation anxiety, he was a perfect friend.
Asher is going to be the most loyal and loving man… his future family when willing to give TIME and PATIENCE is going to have an amazing impact and a dog for life!!!!
I find it hard to believe that someone isn't missing this gentle, beautiful boy. I'm hoping his family is gone for the holiday and will find him when they return and discover he is not where he should be. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
@@1Bonnie777 I sincerely doubt only one dog got treats. This just happened to be the pup they were making the video about. If they showed treats for every pup the video would be hours long.
@@1Bonnie777 So you were there and saw Everything before and after the video? I suspect yer just a troll looking for attention. I will just hide you so you can get back under your bridge. Bu Booonie!
That dog is not a street dog. If I was there I’d take him in a heartbeat. He looks so much like my fur baby, Bob, who passed several years ago. He had separation anxiety but was one of the most gentle souls to grace this planet. I can’t believe someone threw away a gorgeous animal like this.
Some people find themselves in dire circumstances and cannot help but relinquish their pets. If you would adopt this dog in a heartbeat. PLEASE visit your local shelter or their website. You could find your next companion animal(s). Oftentimes, we need them as much as they need us❤ P
This dog looks like such a sweetie! His ears are precious! I pray he finds a home - you can see how truly special he is! I also pray for Rocky! The world needs more people like him!
I think he is White Sheppard. Those are beauty! My in-laws had one. He was most friendliest and kindest dog I have ever met. So this video made me little bit sad. The person who made he feel like that is a monster. I hope he can trust people again, then he surely be the most wonderful dog.
I think this dog's story is his person died recently and no one could take him in. Or someone did take him in but he ran away looking for his person who died. He was loved in his original home and neglected in the second home. Then he fended for himself for a while. He's grieving the loss of his person.
He is such a beautiful pooch!!! Definitely not classed as a German shepherd! Pure white “German shepherd’s” are not recognised as a German, due to the colour not being recognised as a breed standard, but the Swiss took on the pure white shepherd’s and bred them for a more calm temperament, yet all the guarding instincts of the German shepherd, and it’s widely known here in Europe as the white Swiss shepherd…. Such a beautiful, smart and loyal dog!!! I can’t understand anyone who would give up or abandon such a beautiful and loyal dog 😢😢😢
I appreciate the fact that you verbalize being uncomfortable with a new dog being in your face. Kisses from a happy wiggly baby is a different story than being cautiously explored by a scared new kid. Thank you for showing that it's a smart move to be alert and aware.
I revisit this video because someone who knows my white German shepherd shared it with me. It was a delight all over again. Yup, we're laying in bed together again. We need a pupdate on Asher's progress.
I just lost my white gsd I had for 18 years. Just now he was the greatest friend I ever had. I’m lost without him. I have two rescues in fostering. Please adopt this baby! They are absolutely amazing!
That was really special. He knew the word "dinner" from the start. Very food oriented. I feel sorry for the family that lost such a sharp, beautiful dog. I'm glad you shared Thanksgiving treats with all the other jealous dogs, too! I hope you can swoop Asher into your lap soon, if he is still there.
Rocky, I don't know if meant anything because it was so small but I thought it almost looked like a tiny tail wag when Asher licked your face after you took the smaller bowl away. I think what you & your wife do for dogs is just amazing! For those of us who physically & monetarily are not able to do these things, Thank You!!! My dog did come from a rescue and was so abused and emaciated so I am aware of what goes into it, #1 being Love! You brightened my day so much! ❤🐾
Asher is a very handsome pooch. So glad that he has found a forever home. He will be an awesome companion for a lucky family- or to whoever has adopted him.

I did watch the entire video, but their cries still make my heart break… since I have been in rescuing for many decades, I feel for them…
What a "soft mouth" he has, he's going to be a great family member when he figures out, he's safe and everyone is on his side now. And Rocky would know nails trimmed or worn from surfaces- So I SAY,......, someone is looking for their pup.
I agree he’s going to be a great family member when he figures out he’s safe and everyone is on his side now.
I hope so!!!🎉
My dogs are pets, not members of the family. There's a difference.
I am a woman in long-term recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, and I love how much you love these animals! All of us struggle and we can pay it forward for them too!
I wish you many better days in your future!

Congrats on your sobriety and continued recovery. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving! You have much to be thankful for.

Good luck Dear ! I am wishing happiness ahead for you !
The PATIENCE this man has with nervous dogs is incredible!
He has a special heart. 💜
The poor pup whining in the next stall was breaking my heart. This Asher is a sweetheart.
Rocky, thank u for all u do!💕
Mine too. 😢
Me too!! It’s unbearable, just want to comfort them so badly! 😢❤️
I noticed the dog in the next stall became more vocal when he was saying ‘Good boy’ . I felt the dog was frustrated because he recognised those words and responded to it 😞.

That poor whining puppy.😢 Hopefully they can all have some
When a friendly stray dog came into our yard we kept him there to keep him safe until we found his owner. My kids and I played a game to figure out what his name was by saying vowel sounds and watching to see what he responded to. We landed on "Lucky". Within 2 days, his happy owners reclaimed "Buck". 😊
The vowel thing is an awesome idea - nice one.
Wow I never thought to do that and I’ve rescued many animals I’ll have to try that next time
Sounds the same Bucky 😍
Maybe he just knew he was lucky for finding you and your family!
Thank you for helping that poor pup and finding his owner!!!!❤
Thanks for being so gentle with all these wounded dogs!

I've been a professional dog handle and groomer for nearly 40 years. Watching these videos makes me so happy. Thanks for doing what you do.
That's wonderful Thomas! I love dogs and have had 3 but would be too nervous to do this kind of work -- I really admire anyone who can do this kind of work to help save so many dogs.
Kudos to people like you 🥰
I noticed that Arthur didn't even wolf down his dinner like many dogs do in the company of other people. If I lived over there (I'm in the UK) I would adopt him in a heartbeat. He will make his new home a safe, fun and friendly place and his new family will feel very lucky to have him. Do you know?
What state is this beautiful boy in?
I can't stand seeing these poor dogs that really want a home and they're stuck in that cage without a home. It's breaks my heart. I wish I could take them all.
Me too.😊
I feel exactly the same, I wish I have a lot of money and buy a build a house with big yard for all the homeless dogs.

I have 2 rescues, one for 2 years and one for about a year and a half
Both came from abusive homes, one was severe physical abuse
She was so terrified of humans she would shake if you came near her and pee herself if your foot came close when walking by
Flash forward to now:
They are 2 of the sweetest dogs on earth!
You give me hope for this world! Much love and admiration.
I really hope the dog next door got some love too… poor pupper ❤
I was thinking the same thing. I sounds like the dog next door is having a tough time as well and if anyone’s going to give that poor dog love too

I imagine you're thinking, 'why won't you just leave me be and let me have my beliefs.'
Well, it's people believing things without sufficient evidence that leads to so many problems in the world.
Happy Barksgiving!
Just goes to show that certification is good, but compassion, patience and love are even better.
@@vickiroman189 You're absolutely right!
He was so well behaved. I hope he found a loving family.
@@PostSasso This is a 25 minute video, so...no.
Oh what a sweet gentle baby! I had a sweet sweet dog named Lilly for 17 years, she was the sweetest most gentle dog just like this guy. ❤ so so fun to watch him enjoy his yummy food ❤
@PostSasso so you're a dog trainer? Or are you just being annoying?
My best friend was a white shepherd. I gotta tell ya that i never met a more intuitive, intelligent, and sensitive living thing than that animal. They are not “pets” they are friends. Thank you for treating Asher as he would treat you. I hope you adopted him because white shepherds are special.
My cousin had a white shepherd, he was an excellent dog.
My white shepherd, Riley, is a complete loveable derp of a pupper. I'm so glad she rescued us.
All-white and all-black shepherds are gorgeous.
I agree, I had one 40 years ago, he live to be in his high teens, close to 20 years old too!!
I watch him on TH-cam,Also!!
I can guarantee you though that Lee Asher does not use the dominance or alpha theory in his training.
Please think of Asher, one of the sons of Jacob, one of Israel's patriarchs.
He seems to have been in a good home before. He's very well behaved and mellow. I hope he goes to a good home.

All of my cats and dogs has been rescued except 1. I love to rescue animals, they rescue me right back.
It sounds like the dog next door is dying for its owners. Breaking my heart.
The week before Thanksgiving, I fostered a 15 year old German shepherd. He got to spend Thanksgiving with me and relatives. I still have him and he's been spoiled daily since. He really loved the turkey and enjoys a comfy bed.
Foster failure? Congratulations!
I hope you keep him my GS is about 15 years old

We humans got an responsibility to dogs.
We created them, not GOD, who made wolfes. They are our first creation and our responsibility to care for.
They are made to be our best friends.
He reads like a dream and he's definitely open to interaction. He sought direct eye contact, is alert and engaged, courteous....tons of hope here.
Nice to see someone competent with dogs for a change, too.
I totally agree😊
Yep. He'll let someone pet him when he knows them. Shepherds aren't like labs - they don't love everyone indiscriminately. You have to earn their love 😅
Asher is definitely food motivated. Should take to training no problem. ❤️
What about the poor dog who's crying? He needs attention, too.
I have one too. I just want to hug him. Sweet boy. Love white shepherds.
I also had one, lived until fifteen and half, she was great dog and got melanoma. Found out white dogs get it more than others and there is a melanoma vaccine (which is expensive but worth the money).
I've owned 2 purebred White German Shepherds. I would take this dog in a heartbeat......
I got one too! they are so sweet, friendly and loving... melts my heart to see Ashers in a cage

Happy Thanksgiving, friend. Dogs make everything better. 😊. Be well.
Good to see he was adopted thanksgiving weekend. This fellow is lovely and deserves the best.
Thanks for info
I think this dog actually looked quite calm compared to other dogs you had a sit in with. He wasn't barking, wasn't trying to hide, wasn't pushing himself into the wall. He was just looking curious.
Even a dog that shows no signs of aggression can go from 0 to 100 really quick.

Asher is going to be the most loyal and loving man… his future family when willing to give TIME and PATIENCE is going to have an amazing impact and a dog for life!!!!
And he’s so gentle!
It's already clear that he's very loving, too. ❤
The crying dog is breaking my heart 😢
Thank GOD for kind-hearted people like you 👍
So much patience to show this dog he can feel safe. What a gift.
😢😢❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Did someone adopt Asher? He is such a gorgeous dog, and seems to have a perfect disposition. I hope it went well for him. Rocky, you are awesome.
I find it hard to believe that someone isn't missing this gentle, beautiful boy. I'm hoping his family is gone for the holiday and will find him when they return and discover he is not where he should be. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
so sad
He is beautiful. Glad to hear he found his furever home.
This man is a blessing upon the world. Period. Nothing more needs be said.
Apart from the fact he's feeding potatoes that block the function of taurine cause DCM and kill your dog😢
No. One dog had everything, and the other dogs had nothing.
Bu Booonie!
@@winniepeg2020 a few lil potatoes for Christmas or whatever is fine.
Oftentimes, we need them as much as they need us❤

This dog looks like such a sweetie! His ears are precious! I pray he finds a home - you can see how truly special he is! I also pray for Rocky! The world needs more people like him!
Yes I love his giant ears 😍💕 I love playing with my husky's ears (yes I know the dog in this video is not a husky)
I think he is White Sheppard. Those are beauty! My in-laws had one. He was most friendliest and kindest dog I have ever met. So this video made me little bit sad. The person who made he feel like that is a monster. I hope he can trust people again, then he surely be the most wonderful dog.
@@jonnah. It is a white shepherd. I had a purebred femal one that looked just like Asher.
He has kelpie ears
100 percent. Blown away by this man’s charity and Caring
I think this dog's story is his person died recently and no one could take him in. Or someone did take him in but he ran away looking for his person who died. He was loved in his original home and neglected in the second home. Then he fended for himself for a while. He's grieving the loss of his person.
I agree. That is what I think happened to my senior rescue.
This Asher looks so intelligent. This White Sheperd is an angel. ❤
This guy has the best videos on the internet and is helping the canine society…what a channel!
It is so easy to love dogs, but it is not easy to sacrifice this much for them. Thank you, Rocky!
I just lost my white gsd I had for 18 years. Just now he was the greatest friend I ever had.
I’m lost without him. I have two rescues in fostering. Please adopt this baby! They are absolutely amazing!
I love the concept of "Barksgiving". To this extremely kind man, keep doing what you do for many years to come.
🐶♥️👼🍽️🦃
Happy Barksgiving!
@@rockykanaka Happy Barksgiving to you as well!
Asher is a very handsome pooch. So glad that he has found a forever home. He will be an awesome
companion for a lucky family- or to whoever has adopted him.
Not all of can rescue or adopt or even foster but Rocky shows how important it is to visit the dogs & show love.
Nice
If only the world had more people like you..
I donated a small one for Asher. I love these videos and not a dry eye in the house. Thank you for all you do. All of our fur babies are from rescues where they had medical needs and now all is well. Keep giving love to these sweet souls 🙏🏻🖤
Oh and Happy Thanksgiving 🍁🦃🍽
YOU ARE DOING GOD'S WORK BROTHER . THANK YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS .
I adopted my cat last year the day before Thanksgiving. He just turned 10 years old, so we are doing a double celebration today. I love him so much! We are watching this together.
Congratulations!
That's Awesome❤
Asher is going to make someone so happy. Such a sweet boy.

My best friends are my dogs. They love you unconditionally.
