Man I’ve had an Elantra for 5 years now and every issue I’ve had has been covered by these guys with thorough explanations and clear instructions. By far my fav mechanic channel
Bro , I’m going through hell with my 2011 Elantra . It starts stalling after I’ve driven for a while . Changed crankShaft sensor , throttle body , fuel pump . And there’s no change . The ignition coils are working fine , the spark plugs are new . I don’t know what I need to do
I did this myself thanks to this video! Took me 45 minutes cause I didn’t have a ratchet wrench. I got the MAP from car parts because the link said they don’t ship to California 😅. I’ll be doing my O2 sensors next and using their video for that too!
I been learning from you're video's very informative I have one request can you make a video how to clean the intake manifold of elantra,,thanks in advance
HI.THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO, I HAVE A 2015 HYUNDAI ELANTRA LIMITED EDITION, MY MOTOR IS SHAKING A BIT NOW ,ONLY WHEN IT IS ON PARK OR AT A STOP LIGHT. WHAT PROBLEM DID YOUR CAR HAVE ,THAT YOU HAD TO CHANGE THE MAP SENSOR ?
MAP sensors basically tell an engine how much to regulate fuel to air the engine gets, a MAP sensor *might* fix your engine shaking, but mostly it will improve gas mileage and power output.
@@BrandonRa The throttle body could need cleaning. VERY easy job and pretty much the same process on most models. Had the same issue with my corolla and this made it drive like new.
I am trying to find my mass flow air sensor so i can clean it along with throtle body. Does the 1.8 have a MAF or just the MAP and can i clean the MAP with throtle body cleaner too?
One thing I will say is that you should buy the OEM MAP sensor. I installed one of these third party ones and my car started shaking after a few days. I had to install the original back.
Do these Elantras have a mass air flow sensor as well? I have a 2015 showing some hesitation. Had a tuneup and the issue still persists so I want to try and clean the sensor myself
@@aladdinthejuan3487 too late the motor failed on the thing. Well maintained and at 85,000 miles. I’m part of a class action lawsuit against Hyundai now. It was eating oil like it was its job for like 6 months before the motor finally failed. The hesitation was really the death knell.

Used the link to buy a replacement but I can’t get the new one in. Seems to be a bit bigger than the original. I lubricated it but still no luck. It was really hard to get out too. Any suggestions? Should I just buy the OEM part?
I have a 2011 Elantra and I just replaced the map sensor and the crankshaft position sensor. I took it for a drive and when I attempt to give it gas there is somewhat of a choke that the car does. Would you have any input?
Hey guys thanks for the video. Awesome! Here's my issue, I had the code p106, I replaced the MAP sensor and reset the check engine light. But now the check engine light is back on again. The code showing is the same p106! HELP!! what else can it be???

Hi guys, I need help urgently. I have 2011 hyundai elantra 1.8 gls. The car does not want to idle. No engine light showing. I removed the sparkplugs and all of them are pitch black, not oily, its a dry deposit. What could be the problem. Thank you. Henry
A carbon fouled electrode is usually caused by a dirty air filter, driving too much at low speeds, idling for too long, and overly rich fuel/air mixture. If it is too rich, your MAP sensor may need replacement. Try taking your car to Autozone or OReilly’s or anywhere that offers (free of charge) OBD2 inspections. If your sensor is bad, it will throw a code and they will tell you. Hope this helps! Oh, and of course, replace your plugs to assist further with your issues.
As above, clean the throttle body, super easy disconnect the hose from your air box to throttle body and spray the throttle body cleaner inside (there's instructions on the can, too) Replace your spark plugs and give the area they sit in a good clean as well. And following this video, if you cant/don't want to replace your MAP sensor, get some MAF sensor cleaner, give it a good clean, MAKE SURE ITS DRY, re install it and see how your car runs. Make sure any cleaners you use have dried completely before you start your engine, especially sensors. Can cause electrical issues otherwise. Another thing to check out is your injectors. If there's too much carbon build up on your spark plugs, and you have trouble starting (cranks but doesn't turn over) you may need new injectors. It's always best to have a mechanic run a diagnostic before you go ahead and pull your engine apart though, so there's that. Best of luck :)
Please is the map sensor different from maf sensor on your hyundai. I'm looking for the maf sensor on my car but don't know where it is. But I can see the map sensor
