Thank you for your feedback! I love those two two but it is fun to try all of them. I have 12 ready in total and more ideas....they just pop out when I quilt and it is incredible feeling ❤❤❤
This is perfect timing. I’ve been planning to piece a strip quilt right on the longarm; then go back and quilt a different motif in each strip. This will give me some great ideas to try! Thank you so much! 🌷
I love the feather you did on the red strips. After I stitch-in-the-ditch all my seams, I do one of these feathers in a random pattern over the entire top. Once I get the spine down, it is stress free to fill in - I vary the size of the loops to fill in the curves. I love that there is no backtracking!
This type of a feather is quite laid back. I needed some time to get it right, but quilting one whole quilt only with different feathers will do the trick. I like traveling in general, the thread build up can be a powerful design tool, but yes, sometimes you need something more neutral. ❤❤❤
this is beautiful. I love the selection of music. I could watch you quilt all day. I just finished a jellyroll prayer quilt top and was trying to figure out what to quilt on it with my home machine. this is absoulutrly beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
You are very welcome! I am trying to provide good content as well as moment of something relaxing and inspiring. It looks like this video came just in time . there will be more ideas coming in the next episodes ❤❤❤
Thank you so much! I love quilting and I love trying different things. I am always amazed how good it feels to see a finished project, knowing it was me.....
And no corners! Mostly I wanted to have a project where you can practice and try different things. Having a real project qulted and finished gives this nice sense of acomplishment and motivates us more ❤❤❤
Love it!! I think I'll make narrow strips and use it as a reference for borders and sashing. This is wonderful!! I'll make extra for future inspiration from you. Thank you!!
Hi Patricia, Quilting sampler is a great idea. I am woring on a quilt for my son and it consists of large clam shells. Again I wanted to use many different designs and I used one of my YT projects as inspirations. I quilted many different clamshells, all with different patterns. The sampler was small but I can scale up many of the ideas ❤❤❤
our church has a quilt ministry and we make quilts for sick people and we put embroidery yarn in corners for people to pray over the quilt and person that it's given to. they tie knots inthe yarns and the quilt is presented to the person with all of our prayers tied into the four corners. they are like 52 by 65 inches .
It is a wonderful and very beautiful initiative. It fits so well with the iea of quilt giving anyway. When we quilt we putvthere our love and hopes that our quilt will provide some comfort and protection. It is an expression of love. Thank you that you shared this with us!
Two more. I finished it (binding is left...) and I am very happy with the result. About the thread. I used polester embroidery thread on top and cotton 50 wt thread in my bobbin. It works quite well most of the time. They are a bit shiny and they look great also on video, which is important. I tried once quilting with metallic thread... there is even a video of that... it works but it is soooo slow ❤❤❤
Amazing muscle memory for consistent stitches. Really talented lady.
Thank you most kindly.❤❤❤I do practice a lot. I am not a professional quilter but a passionate one. It is my favorite form of relaxing ❤❤❤
Love the double wishbones and fancy feathers!

I love doing fmq strip quilts for kids. They seem to love the different textures. Thanks for a delightful video ❤
This is why baby quilts are the best. I love to combine high contrast and add different textures. It is great for haptic development! ❤❤❤

Such a great idea giving a chance to try different patterns in straight line makes it so manageable ❤

@@quiltingnerdDo you use the blue dot bobbin case and / or change the thread tension settings?
How wide are the strips? Love the idea!
