I went to Japan and saw Trident twice live in Osaka and Shinjuku, they are awesome, they did a 16 song set and had the whole place bouncing...fantastic band who keep getting better.
That is so awesome! Im very jealous haha. Ive never seen any bands when I went to Japan. I did see a couple DJs when I was in Akiba. There are so many bands I would love to see and TRiDENT is for sure one of them. Theyve been around for a while and they have so many awesome songs.
@@Shreddawg I went in October for 26 days and went to 36 concerts including Hanabie; WagamamaRakia; Hagane; Versailles; Yosei Teikoku; Sokoninaru; Jiluka; Saiseiga ;Broken by the Scream; Little Lilith and loads of Alt-idol groups like OMNI666; MadJamie; Maze; LilliHoli; Fam and Tokyo Tefutefu...I am going back on February 2nd for at least 3 months for more concerts, I highly recommend a trip out there, you can see live music every night !!!
@@johnholdsworth7879 Wow that is incredible! Youve seen A LOT of awesome bands! Mad Jamie is a band I will be checking out soon, been meaning to check them out for a bit. Ive not stayed in Japan more than 2 weeks. Every time I have stayed in the Tokyo area. I spent a lot of time in Akiba haha. I am trying to go late spring maybe end of April for 3 weeks but might have to push it back to mid October which is normally when I go to Japan. Just depends how work/life is in the next month. I think October is a fantastic time to go as the weather is good and all the cafes have halloween themed menus etc. I want to finally check out Osaka and Kyoto which is the plan this next trip. Eventually I want to make my way up to the Hokkaido area as well.
@@Shreddawg Mad Jamie are amazing live, I got to see them 9 times in the small livehouse venues which hold around 50 people. The fans are really friendly and welcoming and you can talk to the singers after the gigs, the tickets range from $15 to $25 and for that you see 4 or 5 groups, it really is a fantastic experience. During the trip I have coming up I am hoping to see Nemophila; Passcode; Unlucky Morpheus and any other bands I can find.
@@johnholdsworth7879 That sounds really awesome! There are some really cool smaller venues I would love to catch some bands at over there. I see a lot of the bands posting ads about the shows and some of them are like 3-4 awesome bands playing. Literal dream shows lol. NEMOPHILA is amazing live! Would love to see passcode as well. I wouldnt mind seeing unlock morpheus either, they have some songs I enjoy.
Hi Mark! Serina is an amazing bassist! "Ambivalent" opens with her bass work. "Ambivalent" is anything but ambivalent! With that said, You really need to see what they do LIVE!
Hi Shreddawg! Thanks for posting! TRiDENT is my idea of what a Speed Metal band should be! A few months ago they played live at a gaming competition. Some of the songs from that performance are posted on TH-cam. The sound is not processed or doctored. They give it 100%! You can see the sweat dripping down Nagisa's face as she's drumming. They're working their a$$es off and smiling through out their performance! Ramair3judge writes comments to you and he got me up to speed on these amazing ladies from their high school days to now.
TRiDENT is really a great band! One of the first bands I stumbled across when I really got into Japanese Rock. Although I know them as Girls Rock Band when I first heard them lol :P Ramair3judge always leaves awesome comments, hes full of knowledge!
@@Shreddawg Hi Shreddawg! 2 or 3 years ago, Brandon (Old Mr. B) was reviewing a song by Kakumei (Girl's Rock Band Revolution) because Junna was the drummer then. Ramair commented that they originally had 4 members in the band. I replied to Ramair "Where can I find those videos?". And he sent me 3 different videos that took place during their first year of formation.
@@Russ.Murphy Thats pretty cool. Its always interesting to see older versions of bands with different makeups to see how their sound was before and just see how they have evolved. There are still a few songs from Girls Rock Band on my playlist that I listen to regularly (When it pops up on random).
@@Shreddawg Shreaddawg! What I really enjoy is bands like Kakumei and Scandal started off in High School. Asaka and Serina have been performing together for 9 years. Rina, Haruna, Tomomi, and Mami have been performing together for 16 years. There are videos posted on Scandal from 2007 at Osaka Castle Park. At that time, Rina was 16; Tomomi and Mami were 17, and Haruna was 19. If you can find it, it's worth checking out!
@@Russ.Murphy For sure! Thats one of the reasons I enjoy SCANDAL as well. Its very obvious they have been playing together for a while as well, they just all work so well together. Their sound may have gotten a bit softer over the years but they can still drop bangers like A.M.D.K.J. and even their softer stuff is just perfectly executed. I believe I have seen those videos from SCANDALs early years. Ive consumed a lot of SCANDAL content ^^
True! They are killing it! Spoopy was pretty cool when they dropped it, damn good song and really showed some potential. This song just blew everything out of the water. There was so many individual things in the song that I really felt made my jaw drop lol.
P in D²'s not here cos he's on holiday. But really he's taken a hiatus to see Trident at the Liquid Room, Nov 7. He just didn't want the Maidiacs to find out. Well one of 'em did.😏
love this song. The best thing that happened to both parties was when Junna left. Trident have found their own sound & the focus is now on them as a band rather than the drummer :)
It really is an impressive song. They sure are putting in some work. I think a lot of bands have extra motivation to push themselves harder since they are able to play live shows again. A lot of bands also probably really focused on improving during the time they could not play live shows.
yes 6:27 IS a killer break! and yea the following guitar shred could have lasted just a little longer lol. I noticed right away the mix is MUCH higher quality than I have heard on Trident stuff, they are getting better. As usual, her voice is very penetrating and strong, love the trills, she holds energy the whole piece. There is GOOD talent here, i hope they keep at it! I really love when it is a creation using full bodied chords and good theme structure, (and again real good mix engineering) you knew when the song was about to end, but damn! it kept driving with everyone ending on a final note with no sustain. Good breath taker ending. I wonder if the lyrics will ever be available?

All three of these ladies are on top of their game. I think I like this one better than Spoopy. It has more of that TRiDENT or GRBK sound to me.
