I actually like the way the color of the flesh came out. It is quite a creepy and disturbing shade. And your sculpting skills are spot on. Thank you, Thomas! I love everything you do.
TOO COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [I believe the Fake ones were actually Monkey heads made to look human and that they often did not have their lips sewn shut.]
I have some foam cutters, I just don't know how well it would cut through this high density foam. The smell alone would gag a maggot. Not to mention the molten hot lava of the melted foam
Very cool. It was fun looking back at all the practical effects and props from the movie that I now want to build more of. I feel like a sandworm mounted on a wall would be cool.
You definitely could. You could also use expanding foam like Great Stuff too. I had a friend recently make some out of polymer clay. Tons of different ways and materials to get a similar result. I have an entire closet of EVA foam, so that is kind of my go to.
Sometimes, I will coat it in mod podge or a clear coat spray paint, depending on the finish I want or the type of prop it is. A lot of times, I don't add anything.
Hey Thomas, thanks for giving an HEADS up on the release of the new beetlejuice movie... i can't wait to see it as well... I've seen the trailers but they never did when it was coming out...
Yeah, I think it's been out for 2 weeks or so now. Everyone I have talked to about it said that it was very reminiscent of the first one, with quite a few of the original cast returning.

Thank you so much! It's hard to see on camera, but the variations in blue, red, and purple are pretty cool.
So cool!!
@@conniegarcia5626 thanks

🤗 you are too kind.
Es magnífica tu técnica para moldear. Quedé sorprendido.
Ojalá llegues a hacer más cosas de beetlejuice, como el "gusano de arena" :0
This video seems to be doing really well already, so there is a good chance that a sandworm may be in the works soon
Brilliant..... 💀👍🙂
Thanks

They used all different kinds of things to fool tourists. It was really an interesting read doing research on the facts for this one.
Ryobi has a pretty cheep wireless foam cutter it awesome

I get to do a lot of Beetlejuice stuff at my job, they took us all to see it on opening day! This is so awesome and gross at the same time lol!

Justice for Bob 😂
😆
Why not use expanded Polystyrene insulation (the pink or blue insulation) instead of EVA?
You did an amazing job on this prop. 😊
You definitely could. You could also use expanding foam like Great Stuff too. I had a friend recently make some out of polymer clay. Tons of different ways and materials to get a similar result. I have an entire closet of EVA foam, so that is kind of my go to.
That's super cool! I love it! By the way Thomas, when you finish with acrylics, it's tacky or you put varnish? Big hug from Spain😎

Ay padre Douglas Candelario tampoco estaba en el really truly. Se quedó embasao en segunda base.
Not sure what that means. Maybe the auto translation is not great.
Heat up that blade and it would cut like butter
@BEBESSCHET-rs7ir true, but definitely doesn't smell like melted butter. 😆

Too bad it’s all black and dust. I couldn’t appreciate your sculpting. It looks great, though. 👍
@KimberlyHill-w7p tis a draw back to sanding black foam. Glad you like it, though
