@@SpaghettiFPV-tg3qh My back is bad, my hips don't work. But, as soon as I put my goggles on - look out, the old man is going to rip some s#&t! I do some long rang too. FPV is freedom for me. Remember, it's all about the gap!
@@KaiVertigoh I'm think I might get the radiomaster zorro but I still don't know if I should get the elrs or the 4in1 version. Can you tell me what you would get(by the way this will be my first radio)
Availability is another big factor. It’s now early January when I ordered my dji goggles 2 radio transmitter back in November with the hopes I’d be able to discover FPV over the Christmas break
As a total Newb I really appreciate this video! It stopped me from thinking I have to go ALL OUT and buy the whole enchilada - so NOW I know I can start with a controller and sim to start - PERFECT!!! I also know when it becomes time to move I will be building my drone (thankx again!) so I know how to fix it (I am kind of hard on thing, so yeah), will want digital goggles and will get a Cinewwhoops to start! This answered SO MANY Qs I had about how to start that I will actually be able to take the first step today!!! You are awesome!
When an introductory video has no "Buy either this product, this or that one" and instead offers insides and understanding of different parameters, than I know it's good introductory video :D thanks
This is the video you need to see This is the type of guy you want to learn from This is extremely important knowledge This is what I've been looking for This is it.
Thank you for this amazing video! Just barely getting my feet wet in the FPV world and it seems like theres an overwhelming amount of information out there. Not only does this information give a non-intimidating and straightforward approach, it also cuts straight to the point and doesn't overload me. Thank you 👊🏽
I am so glad I found your video! I’ve been wanting to get into this for so long, I still fly a phantom 3 but want to get into fpv and didn’t know where to start so thank you I’ll start here!
Thank you so much! That was the most detailed video I've seen for beginners. I'm starting to study FPV drones, focusing on learning how to build one on my own. I thought it would be cheaper, but I understand the materials like motors and the main board have good quality, and the goggles and remote controller last for years. I loved your comment about learning how to fix the drone. I think that is the key to spending less money on it because the drone will break a lot of times (it's inevitable) and you will save a lot of money fixing it on your own.
Most definitely Matheus! I am happy that the video was helpful. There are definitely more cost-efficient ways to start, but you really do get what you pay for when it comes to FPV. And you're right, learning to fix your drones when they crash WILL save you a good amount of money in the long run, if you are up to the challenge!
Great video. Best thing I ever did when I first started was bought a second hand 5” didn’t fly it properly for the first year, only did sim. Then gradually would practice. I also think building your own will help in the long run as if somthing is too fail you should be able too work it out as you’ve built it yourself. Love the video man
For a newbie like myself, I found your video to be a great starting tool. I took notes, step by step and even typed out your Diligent Practice & Patient Progress, printed it and put it up in my shop. Thanks again for your wisdom.
100% agree with you bro, build your first fpv is the best option, I just finished my first fpv drone build with a digital set up and it was a very fun process
Thank You Kai! thats a lot of info in a short video it kept my full attention through the whole vid. I'm gonna have to rewatch and take some notes. I've been flying mid level camera drones for about a year and have just started looking into FPVs. Newly retired and love to tinker, build and solder, cant wait to get started!
You're most welcome Roy! Congratulations on retiring, the world of FPV will keep you plenty busy and excited! Hope to see you around more, best of luck
I wanted to start with DJI drones but after watching your video I have realized I would love to build it myself as well be able to repair myself as I love building things. Thanks for an awesome video!❤
One thing I found when starting fpv was how vital it is learning how to land as it’s something that is obviously lacking from the simulator process. I’m quite confident with flying now, but learning how to land back on a landing pad is proving difficult. I’m just disarming my quad when it’s in my general location and then walking a couple meters or whatever to collect it. And learning about lipos and voltage etc is really important as well. I learned acro via the Avata and Dji Fpv, and recently upgraded to a Bob57 03 with crossfire, and am considering getting either the cinelog 35 v2, or cinebot 30.
This video followed by Joshua Bardwell's learn to fly an fpv drone today should be combined into a master class! This is the video i needed a month ago when trying to make sense of the decision and pain points in this hobby / profession. cheers!
Ive been running a property photography since the pandemic and boy did a simple $800 360 cam bring in so much profit customers always want an edge I’d imagine drone profits
Cool Video, I recently got myself a creap ass 15 dollar drone and i´m obsessed with it, flying it at every oppertunity. Now i wanna really get into it and your video was extremely helpful, Thanks a lot😁
Thanks so much! I think alot of beginners have trouble having the right mindset and sight to see the overview of getting into the world of FPV. Your video was really warm, gentle and welcoming for the lot of us who are absolute beginners. Great job!
It’s just bizzare thinking about how I’m watching video this as a hobby while dudes half a globe away are probably watching to fly a warhead into other dudes
thinking of getting into drone for my amateur videography then I came across your video, its an eyes opener for me. I think FPV is way more interesting than just regular drone. Hopefully I can learn something from you and start building my first drone . thank you and Subscribed.
I am starting a school to get my certification in UAS piloting- but i was definitely inferested in learning mofe about FPV drones and there applications! This industry isnt going anywhere any time soon and i want to learn as much as i can. Thanks for the video!
I’m actually excited about the steep learning curve and high skill ceiling in flying fpv. I play Titanfall2 and man, the skill ceiling is so high and I enjoyed the whole way learning everything especially the movement.
Thank you for this video - it's exactly what I needed to take the plunge. Time to liquidate some guitar pedals I no longer use and get myself a sim and controller!
I started flying fpv in the End of 2022. At first i wanted to go analog because of the cost. At first i ordered the radio. Which took longer to be delivered than the drone parts so i had a drone without a radio. I wanted to buy the Fatshark attidude goggles but they were sold out everywhere. so i had to come up with a different plan. and that turned out to be more than double the price of the attitude goggles. I bought the DJI goggles because the O3 arunit got presented and i knew that if i build a 5" next year it would fly with the O3. Then i had to solve the analog problem. That got solved with the BDI Digidapter and a Rapidfire module. Afterwards i'm a little sad that i didnt just put a caddax vista in my QAV-s mini but if i want to i can fly everything no matter if it is analog or digital and i think that is a big plus. Yes the HD Zeros are out now but now that i have those i think i wont switch goggles that fast. Update: I flew in the sim for about a year before buying first parts. I watched Steeles videos and was blown away by the flying. I bought the DRl Sim on a sale for 7€ and started on an xBox controller. After getting my Radio I probably did about 10 hours of flying in the sim before trying LOS. i had a little accident where i lost orientation in LOS because i was to far away and crashed it into a wooden bench. Bend a motorshaft and had to straighten it. After getting the first dji goggles i send them back because the had damaged pixels right out of the box and then on the 25. of december i had my first fpv flight. it was 35seconds long and i was shaking of adrenaline. Then i had a little incident where i landed in a wet spot and fried my 5v regulator on the FC. bought a new one and never going to fly in slightly wet conditions ever again. since than i have had some crashes but didn't even bent a prop. So far i had a lot of fun and still trying to learn new tricks in the sim but I'm to scared to try them IRL, i'll get there...

I work with teens who are lost in what their futures are, as I promote reading skills, STEM, and lots of Hope. Thanks for what you do. Been flying for some years and I’m getting my first digital FPV , (had enough in the analog) this week. Keep it up Sir!! Thanks
Bro I've been flying drones for awhile now( about 5 years) I want to get into I've had a bunch of dji drones and a few others. I am trying to get into building and flying fpv's. Super intrigued. Great job on the video. I would love to pick your brain on some things start blessed
Absolutely amazing video. Thank you so much. I actually have an FPV set and took me 2 years to first fly it because I needed actual research. Sellers just sold me the cinewhoop and told me which controller and goggles (DJIv2) to buy lol
Damn bro. Never considered FPV until I saw your short and this great explanation. Have a DJI mini that I used to love flying with this Bald Eagle in my old backyard until I crashed it and cracked an arm. Now you got me thinking about trying to fix it myself or just straight build a new one. Thanks guy
To answer your question at the end of the video… Yes, I’m sure me and many others would love to see more videos of yours! That is an extremely helpful and inspiring video. Thank you!
Glad I found this, thank you for making it. You mentioned it best to learn to build from “the right sources”. Any specific build sources you’d either recommend to look into and/or any to steer clear of? Thanks for your time.
Just wow. I'm getting more and more interested in FPV drones and going to try them myself (i'm a big fan of fast paced race games). If only they could put some sort of guns on these things (harmless for everyone and everything but other drones)... )) Thanks a lot, Kai, your video is amazing, clear and the best on the topic i've seen so far )
Oh wow...where to start? First. Awesome video!!! Well laid out and executed. The Subaru shot was amazing! Just want to say, I'm in the high to medium range on price. You get what you pay for. I'm new to this btw. To the drone fpv. I've done los drone for a few years with a cheap as cheap drone can get from "Wish" lmao. I was able to fly that piece of work. Now ready for a new adventure. As for the longevity, about 3 to 4 days a week. For the performance, hobby/work. I also want to say, I like your six steps. I'm just adding one more step between 1-5. Adding some soldering material to practice on. Have some in my cart as I type this lol. I know how just not well. Now that I am getting my Radiomaster tx16s mkii v4 earlier than I was going to :-) can you help me with what dang cord I need? I'm hitting one of those rabbit holes that go everywhere. Or I'm just skimming by what I need. Like Amazon has a Bluetooth module for 11 bucks not sure on that one either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I come from a wide range of Rc from a Tekno eb48.4 buggy to a Kyosho Nexus 30 heli. I was only able to hover my heli a few feet off the ground...augured it a few times also. So, I know all too well of taring apart and rebuilding over and over. And for your comment about learning los...pretty sure I have that down. Looking forward to getting the simulator game and use my new radio, which is going to be the transparent one with mods in the making also :-) Well, I think that sums it all up lol. If you can help about the cable or exactly what I need for the radio for the sim game and the Bluetooth module that would be great!! I want the Bluetooth so the sound can come thru my earbuds and not the speaker in the radio. What can I say, I nerdy lol. Thanks again. One last thing. Like your quote at the end.
Thanks for the video! Ive been wanting to dip my toes into using a drone and this went a long way towards giving me the info on what to expect if i go for it! Thanks again!
hay I am 17 I am an RJ in high school idk what I am going to do in life but your vid is very convincing and inspiring I had a friend who does fpv but now he is in college and has moved away ... getting off top but thank you so much for the video I rily apresheate you vid
Hey, of course thank you so much for watching! I am glad to hear you are putting a lot of thought into your future, and I hope this video helped regardless of if you decide to pursue learning drones, or something else. Keep doing your best, you got this! P.S. love your username 🥷🏼
Best tip I got, having money and buying all the nicest equipment will do absolutely nothing to make you better at flying manual/ACRO mode. The only piece of equipment that will actually improve (it will not make you better) your experience is buying that DJI goggles 2 and the DJI receiver to allow for much longer range, and yes, that will cost you around $1000. Aside from that, but an emax mini 2 or 3 inch (under 250 grams) quad package for around $500 and make sure it’s RTF (ready to fly, no binding and beta flight). Just charge and fly, super easy.
Great video, rn I want to buy and install a camera on my brothers (now mine) Traxxas Alias and really wanting to get some kind of DJI combo or maybe I’ll build my own someday
ELRS for the win. i startet with simulator and learning how to build a drone dat was the best way for me.i hate bnf and rdf there is always somethin dat i would do different in a build. nice video peace
Here's what everyone should know about drones. In the wrong hands the potential for injury ensues. Anchors dropped can be transmitters for espianage and extortion. Those same anchors can heat and mangle .
I'm just getting into fpv after years with GPS drones. I got a dji fpv but it scares me to learn to fly with it. I want to get something cheaper, smaller and easier. Great video my friend. 👍
You have had the best info on fpv i've ever seen, and i've seen alot...from nurk, rotor riot, ken h and many more. Keep up the good work and i subscribed and liked!
This video was awesome! And extremely helpful! What I want to do is get a drone to help get some really cool shots for my music videos but then I'm sure I'm going to want to fly it around just for the fun of it also :-)
Thanks for an informative video. I have 2 questions I hope you can help me with since Im new at this. 1. How do one know if the controller is ELRS or CRSF? Is it only based on if its TBS that makes it? 2. How do one know if the googles are digital or analog and if its compatible with the drone (the chip in the drone)?
I bought a DJI FPV combo 4 weeks ago and now waiting for my parts to come in to build my own they arrive Friday and fly the sim all the time I’m hooked!
Good move! I did the same thing back in November and bought the avata quad too. I got the fpv combo for $840 so all in all it was a great deal. I learned acro on the avata (the avata is tough as nails) and fly both only in acro now. I’m just finishing up my first o3 air unit build too! Great video.
Great vid! New sub here. I started on Crossfire, FatShark Attitude V6 goggles, and of course a Tango 2 (first and only transmitter I'll ever buy/need). Was against digital for a long time and finally took the leap. Got Walksnail Avatar V2, upgraded my fleet and I could def NEVER go back. Night and day difference. I'd definitely recommend going digital to any new pilot instead of going analog. It's come a long way and I average just 25mbps at 1080p. Keep up the good work! 👊
Damn, I've seen your clips around youtube shorts and IG reels. Glad I finally clicked on one of your videos! Another expensive hobby added to the list 😂
In the 90's when i flew rc helicopters (FYI - 5 gimbals - pitch , yaw , roll , throttle , and blade angle) these was the exact same uproar about the quality digital over analog as it was new then - you will not really find many analog heli's anymore. although to be fair helis can have much larger engines , batteries and mainly receivers that are much more reactive than the ones in fpv
Hello Kai! this is the first video of your that I watched. But for sure It was a great video and it was very realistic and rational by the way. thanks for it!
Excellent vid ! wasn't what l was looking for , but you made it so interesting ...l watched it anyway :^ ) l slowly spent thousands trying for Stable FPV , 5-10 min. time , ...UNDER $100 ...finally did .... could've been EZ ...but found no info on Ytube to help...frustrating "learning-curve" ....a WT03 Micro FPV cam on a Snappytain SP350 and th' "cheap-o" goggles works very well most anywhere 60'+ inside or out !!!! even better , stickitt on a xk 129v2 heli and get 200+ range & 8.5+min. ...still under $150 ! Happy Flying !!!

Thanks for this
Saved me from thousands of dollars just to learn what it’s all about
Damn bro. Never considered FPV until I saw your short and this great explanation. Have a DJI mini that I used to love flying with this Bald Eagle in my old backyard until I crashed it and cracked an arm. Now you got me thinking about trying to fix it myself or just straight build a new one. Thanks guy
To answer your question at the end of the video…
Yes, I’m sure me and many others would love to see more videos of yours!
That is an extremely helpful and inspiring video.
Thank you!
Alexandre! Thank you so much man, your answer gives me encouragement to keep creating. I'm so happy it helped! Hope to see you around more.
If only they could put some sort of guns on these things (harmless for everyone and everything but other drones)... ))
Thanks a lot, Kai, your video is amazing, clear and the best on the topic i've seen so far )
Thank you so much for saying that, I’m glad you found it helpful!! Best of luck
Don't want to build an fpv drone, but I understand the economy logic and therfore sold on the DIY model.
After seeing this I now know that going into FPV won't be easy,v but it looks well worth it
Best tip I got, having money and buying all the nicest equipment will do absolutely nothing to make you better at flying manual/ACRO mode.
Building your own drone would be so cool
Great video, rn I want to buy and install a camera on my brothers (now mine) Traxxas Alias and really wanting to get some kind of DJI combo or maybe I’ll build my own someday
ELRS for the win. i startet with simulator and learning how to build a drone dat was the best way for me.i hate bnf and rdf there is always somethin dat i would do different in a build. nice video peace
Thank you so much! Appreciate you for watching, and for leaving this comment. Cheers 😄
Here's what everyone should know about drones. In the wrong hands the potential for injury ensues. Anchors dropped can be transmitters for espianage and extortion. Those same anchors can heat and mangle .
Dude this is well produced and clear content, Congrats!
Damn son!! 👻🔥👻 matrix level Sh!t.....dope flying bro!!! 😎🫡
Great info! I've been wanting to add the FPV look to my video work. This'll get me started! Thank you sir.
Of course Drew!! Thank you for watching! I guarantee you the FPV look will make you stand out like nothing else. Best of luck!!
This video was awesome! And extremely helpful! What I want to do is get a drone to help get some really cool shots for my music videos but then I'm sure I'm going to want to fly it around just for the fun of it also :-)
Amazing idea! FPV can add SO much to music videos. You having the eye for it will most definitely bring the production quality up!
Just what i was looking for in 2023 thanks!
Yes!! So excited for you! Hope this video is helpful on your journey, don't be afraid to ask questions as you go!
Good move! I did the same thing back in November and bought the avata quad too. I got the fpv combo for $840 so all in all it was a great deal. I learned acro on the avata (the avata is tough as nails) and fly both only in acro now. I’m just finishing up my first o3 air unit build too! Great video.
Thanks for this video! I'm just about to get started and it was great to see this guide with up-to-date examples of devices!
Best of luck Vova!!

Nice video :)!
Some tips and explanation on batteries and chargers and how to pack your equipment for traveling would also be useful
Excellent video! Good information. I am a beginner, so your video was a good starting point for me.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching 😁
Thank you for this video. I can't imagine anyone explaining it better
I’m looking for a new hobby and you might have convinced me
amazing video... i want to get involved with drones and FPV and this has helped me out a LOT!
Loving the Ender 3 in the background too! lol
Mike, amazing to hear!! So glad it helped, thanks for watching :)
Ayyy, you already know HAHA 🤖
So as my first transmitter (other than a phantom 3 that I have) you would recommend I get a tango 2? Thanks
This is a great video! Straight forward and informative, especially for those of us that are just getting started. Thank you!
Hey. Such a great video. Thank you. I would love if you would make a video how to prepare and fly fpv within urban citys.
Like it. Hopefully can start soon.
And also hope this channel grow fast! Keep up the good work friend
Great short intro vid👍 May i add to the great quality and performance of geprc!
What folding props are you running on that Nazgul?!
You’re a very likable person. Thanks for the info! Learned a ton.
Damn, I've seen your clips around youtube shorts and IG reels. Glad I finally clicked on one of your videos! Another expensive hobby added to the list 😂
Such a well made video. This is the start of my drone hobby
It's an honor. Best of luck friend!
loved your explanation on the drone I want to start as a hobby thing for me I was thinking about the Cetus X FPV kit
Very comprehensive video! It was cool seeing what gear ure rocking for 2023. Let’s fly sometime🤙
Thank you so much! Would love that, where are you based?

All that I need. I was thinking in the last part first. Thanks so much for help me to "down to earth"... (did I translate it right ? )
Hello Kai!
this is the first video of your that I watched.
Thank you so much for watching!!
Great video for advanced.
Over kill for beginners.
