For later on in the game, there is an area in Faith's region which is teeming with an abundance of wildlife. I have seen cougars, bears, hares, deer, elk, and a few other animals in my time hunting there. If you run with Jess Black, she will tag nearby animals, and they won't be alerted when you are with her. You can literally walk up to animals and take them out at point blank range. It earns you money fast.
@@miciso666 Yep, Boomer does tag enemies/wildlife. The difference, however, is that Jess won't spook animals when your trying to hunt. It makes it far easier to shoot accurately.
@@yalibiran5941 Faith's region. Fast travel to the top of Raptor Peak if you have it unlocked and just work your way down the hill. There is an unbelievable amount of bison, moose, cougars, and other animals that spawn there. If you take Jess Black with you, the animals won't get scared and run or attack you. It makes hunting way easier. Jess also tags animals without alerting them.
Just go to Raptors peak. There are alot of mooses and bisons also cougars,black bears,grizzly bears,alpha moose,wolves,wolf leaders,👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌ALWAYS HAVE JESS BLACK
Having Jess around is insanely helpful. She makes it so none of the animals will run from you/ attack you. You can just walk right up to a bear and stick an arrow in it face.
So in this game you play deputy rooky, who has to cancel a hunting vacation to go on some mission to arrest a millitant cult leader. This goes horribly wrong and you're now expected to help fix things. But then you realize you're in a valley in Montana that's rich with wildlife and rabid maniac that you (oh dear) will just have to fend off AND cut off from the outside world, so you decide: fuck it... seems like I'm having that hunting vacation after all.
In my experience you won't get a damaged skin from killing animals with an lmg. If you use the the mounted machine guns on vehicles you will get damaged skins, though. Also if you kill an animal with a fire arrow you will also get damaged skins, obviously.

So there are two different heavy types in the game: Flamers [guys with flame throwers] and machine gunners [guys with the M60] they spawn pretty randomly throughout the game but, I think they begin to spawn pretty late in the take over bit of the first area you choose.
Also, I don't know if you know this if you crouch as you land from jumping from a high place you can ruduce the damage. You can test this if this is true but, I seem to be seem results that say yes to it.
To improve upon this tactic, bring along the huntress with you, her special ability makes all animals passive towards you and prey won’t run away from you
I prefer the SA50 & bow to the M60. The SA50 kills all the large animals with 1 shot, and is the only weapon I have ever used silver to purchase. Good video appreciate the work.
The only weapon I have to purchase is the grenade launcher. The rest I have gotten from reaper trucks, or dead AI's. Another trick I use is Jessie Black, she kills in one shot most times, so you are getting 4 skins per kill. Only problem is every so oftern she will flame the kill.
I hunt with the optisim shovel because it takes insane damage into the head without noise and like arrows you can retrieve the shovel also its a melee weapon so its gives more skin
Thanks for the tutorial, helped alot. But if you instead do the cougars at the taxadermy, you can find wolves inside the yard, cougars just behind, and moose a little further behind, yielding even more skins.
You make the best walkthroughs on TH-cam, can't wait for you to start Far Cry 5 so I can play it again with some knowledge. The best hunting spot late game I have found is "Taft Lookout Tower", just below Raptor peak. Lots of Bison, bait spawns cougars and black bears.
It also pays to unlock Jess Black to help you hunt. Since she uses a bow as her weapon. It allows you to replenish your arrows if you don't grab quiver perk
Also on I think it’s white peak mountain it’s super good for bison, moose, cougar, and more for hunting. The bison and moose spawn like crazy if u find a good spot which is usually closer to the peak of the mountain
Goto the bowl shaped lake in the top left hand corner of the map that is ringed by mountains (u can fly there or fast travel to halfway up the mountain), there u can do laps of the lake and u get alpha wolf skins, cougars, black and grizzly bears, deers, (which refill ur bait) and there is a guy fishing who u can sell ur loot to and refill ammo every lap. U make about 5-8 thousand a lap, idk the exact amounts, or if it is better than ur route but its fun and u dont have to fast travel to sell and can rinse and repeat EDIT: Towards the end of the video I realise u mention this and that this is an early game farming guide
I would just command Boomer to stay in the pumpkin patch while you deal with the cougars. That way, there's no need to keep assign/unassign and he will tag anything in his area in the meantime and can revive you if something crazy happens.
I Perfere Useing "The Ferious" against the "M60" since you can actually kill more biston faster then having to shoot them down just to pay to get the bullets you shot back
I found a spot near that huge bridge (the one that has the prepper stash underneath) where I could get deer, bears and other stuff plus there was a merchant NPC just hanging out there so it was perfect to use the bait and get the random spawns
Right up thw road from the bison hunting grounds is the moose hunting grounds, also if you have the Mars DLC you can use the grape popper for hunting 1 or 2 shot kill and free ammo
Found a guaranteed location for the m60 in the outpost the Copper Head Railyard inside a rail car and yes its close to start in the south east you will find it by exploring :)
Sad to see everyone thinking this is the best when u can go to the pond in the left corner of the map in jacobs region, looks like a crater, u get alpha deer, alpha wolves, normal wolves, caribou, alpha caribou, brown bears, cougars, and fish, also honey badgers. Bait spawns a random predator, the example shown at chad's apparently only spawns wolves, but at rae-rae's it's cougars, yet at other hunting grounds you can get those two with also the option of wolverines and bears.
There's a specific spot I like to farm that is quite close to a vendor for me to sell my wares and resupply. I beeline for a Helicopter from the start. It just makes everything easier.
You can find the M60 for free in the south west region. Cultists will drop it and you can pick it up for free 👍 Does anyone know why i cant pick up guns found in the back of cultist trucks?

The Cougars are renacting a Family Guy scene. Cougar 1: Mm free food. (Splat Dead) Cougar 2: Ooo. Goodies (Splat dead). Cougar 3: ok third times the charm (Splat dead).
This is cool, but I'm a bit disappointed they took away the hunting/crafting element that has been in previous installments of the series. I actually enjoyed hunting down dangerous animals so I could carry more ammo to kill things with. Now, its just more loot, which was never hard to come by in previous titles anyway, and the ability to carry more items is just another perk you can unlock. Ah well, I guess I'll still get the game, cause it's Far Cry and I love Far Cry, but I wish they would stop messing with the formula. If it ain't broke don't fix it as the old saying goes.
It was getting repetitive and it made little sense to me. Why the fuck would I need to hunt a specific type of animal in order to craft a specific bag? It was breaking the flow of the game. You were hunting animals as a cheap side distraction, but you were forced by the game to do it in order to upgrade your character. I like it better in Far Cry 5. Challenges are actually implemented well since you just have to play the game naturally in order to complete them.
Equip jess and a bow wielding guns for hire and they can almost 85% of the time they insta kill animals. If you use a bow as well you get 4 skins. You don’t have to spend money on lmg ammo either

tip : use fast and furious syrnge and keep jess black and use any meele weapon like optism or spike bat bcz if you kill them with your fists while apllied fast and furious syringe you get less loot so use meele weopons while using this trick , using meele weopons while applied fast and furious syringe you get 4 skins and plus 2 baits instead of 1, this trick made me a lot of money in one day , but video still helpful for beginners.Use this trick I told you guys it makes me 50 k per run

Hey, Slack, I found that lmg in the back of one of those cargo trucks you have to open the door on (same as the one on Dutch’s island) that was parked at the trailer park in John’s territory. Probably just a random spawn, though. Not sure if it’s always there.

How much did it cost in ammo hunting bison?
About $200 to refill ammo totally after that run. That included 4 arrows.

if you use Jess black as a gfh it makes you invisible to all the animals which makes hunting really easy

A combination of jess, boomer, and a good bow you can get tons of skins extremely quick if you know where to hunt.

You can kill almost any animal with one, or at most two, blasts from the sidearm shotgun.

3 bait produce a predator who yields 4 skins, and you end up with 10 skins. What is the value of having 6 baits if 3 baits exceeds your load capacity?

19:00 the light machine gun does not damage the skin, only the .50 does that (sniper/mounted machine gun)

Instead of using bow or guns, use melee and furious drug to get maximum efficiency and maximum loot
