As an older black wrestling fan (from the south), I thought that you would generically put the Rock at number 1. This is literally the best list of black anything done by a white man. Applause!!!! When you got to the final 3 and I couldn’t think of the third wrestler after Ladd and Rock, I was pleasantly floored by Thunderbolt. For every list that I have blasted white people for not knowing what they are talking about regarding black anything, this makes up for it. You only missed on Shelton Benjamin and Rufus R. “Freight Train” Jones. Great video!

Real good list, totally forgot about Awesome Kong, I can legitimately say I gave up on wrestling, then randomly saw a Gail Kim and Awesome Kong TNA match, it drew me back in and showed me that women's wrestling can be as good as men's. Glad you added in Atlas, Johnson and Allen (Brown) at the end. Come to think of it there have been so many good black wrestlers over the years I'm surprised you could nail it down to 8. One of my fav moments in wrestling was when Virgil won the million dollar belt. Bad News Allen (Brown) would of fit right into the attitude era. The Rock is a...complicated case. While he is half black, WWE has also made sure to let us know how he's Samoan and have all these Samoan cousins (The Usos and Roman Reigns* in particular). As a black guy, I want to acknowledge The Rock as the first black champion, but I still see his run as a cop out excuse to "WWE Never Had a Black Champion."

Real good list, totally forgot about Awesome Kong, I can legitimately say I gave up on wrestling, then randomly saw a Gail Kim and Awesome Kong TNA match, it drew me back in and showed me that women's wrestling can be as good as men's. Glad you added in Atlas, Johnson and Allen (Brown) at the end. Come to think of it there have been so many good black wrestlers over the years I'm surprised you could nail it down to 8. One of my fav moments in wrestling was when Virgil won the million dollar belt. Bad News Allen (Brown) would of fit right into the attitude era. Slick is also my favourite manager of all time, "jive soul bro" is the best theme tune ever.

The Rock is a...complicated case. While he is half black, WWE has also made sure to let us know how he's Samoan and have all these Samoan cousins (The Usos and Roman Reigns* in particular). As a black guy, I want to acknowledge The Rock as the first black champion, but I still see his run as a cop out excuse to "WWE Never Had a Black Champion."
