Not watched the full video yet but am guessing it's about old tag teams getting renamed with one or more of the old team replaced, ie new midnight express, new rockers. So am guessing because new blood wasn't a tag team or stable that was once called blood then renamed new blood that's why they weren't on it
I actually thinked Mason Ryan deserved a lot more respect, and I was upset how the fans ruined his push, just because they thought they were all sly by chanting Batista at him. I also thought the New Nexus was a cool concept, over how they were being lead by CM Punk who still had this false prophet persona to him.
Daniel Greco Idk about the Welsh Batista...he looked awfully green the few times we actually saw him in a one on one match. Great look, but we never knew much more about him. However, if he lost his "spot/push" just because he looked like Batista and some asshole fans caught on, then that's bullshit. I'll always remember his debut though, and that can't be said for many, many wrestlers. Also I agree on the New Nexus concept, it was cool...eventually evolving in a certain respect to the Wyatts with Bray/Punk offering themselves to be hit with a chair and such.
The new era has began at least 3 times recently according to them. After the 2016 brand split, after the "fans" took over power after the McMahon claimed that they weren't giving us what we want.
Kona Crush - "Brian, brah. You making the kids cry, brah." Good list, man. Sad Wyatt was included cause I really liked his moniker as The New Face of Fear but the WWE shat all over it. Was fine with him losing to Taker at Mania but he and the family should have gone over Taker and Kane at Survivor Series. Yeah lol, I remember seeing all those NEW teams show up when I was a kid and thought they were terrible as well. The Captain Lou skit was great.
Natendowii I like this idea. I'm willing to listen to some others fans recommendations as well. I've read Bret and Mick's (first two) books, and that's all... I've heard Jericho's book is a good read. Any others anyone wants to toss out there?
The books co-written by Keith Elliot Greenberg are very good; Ric Flair: To be the Man, and "Classy" Freddie Blassie: Listen you Pencil Neck Geeks. I also agree with the others who recommended Foley's first book, Jericho's first book, and Bret Hart's book (a daunting read but very good). Brody by Larry Matysik is also a worthwhile read if you want to delve a bit deeper than just the guys you know from TV. I'd avoid Andre the Giant: A legendary life. Half of it is just like reading a narration of his matches.
Natendowii hey I have a ton of pro wrestling books to sell or trade. I've read so many it's hard to say where to start. Either The hitman Brett Hart or Flairs to be the man.
The New generation era did put out more 5 star matches than any other era though. Owen and bret steel cage match, shawn and razor ladder match, austin and bret wm 13, shawn and taker first hell in the cell match.
Measuring WWE eras by the number of 5-star matches is a bit like measuring pre-NXT eras by the number of good female wrestlers. It's pretty inconsequential to the overall product, and just makes you even more pissed about the rest.
God dammit Zane the New Generation is what made me a wrestling fan in the first place! It's ridiculous cartoonishness and outlandish 90's-ness of it all firmly places it in "So bad it's good" territory.
FIXTREME it has nothing to do with nostalgia, I only became a wrestling fan a few years ago, but I loved watching the early nineties. The characters are outlandish but that made it interesting. The attitude era and ruthless agression era are better though
I may be vilified for saying this, but I think out of the two brothers, Owen was superior to Bret-don't get me wrong, Bret was really good and I was a big fan of his in the 90's, but I think Owen was the better performer, in terms of both in-ring ability and charisma. I think it's sad that other than his 1994-95 feud with the Hitman, he never got close to main event status, but was instead saddled with lame and lazy gimmicks, either in a tag team (High Voltage and the aforementioned New Foundation) or as a solo performer (The Blue Blazer-and we all know how tragically that one ended). Owen more than deserves to be in the Hall Of Fame, but I don't know if it will ever happen. PS: LOD 2000 always sounded like a brand of soap powder to me-and was frankly just as exciting. I didn't know about Heidenreich originally being booked to be an unfrozen Nazi, but I guess that's where the 'Reich' part of his name came from. God, but WWE have really had some horrendously racist creative ideas haven't they?
Owen really shoulda won the belt at Summerslam 94. Even if he woulda lost it back to Bret after either at Survivor Series or earlier (the latter making for a decent story actually with the idea that if Owen can't have the title neither can Bret), he deserved to win it there as hot as he was. What coulda been I guess huh? Come to think of it, has there been a top 8 best wrestlers to NEVER win a world title? That could be a good topic I think if not.
That would be a great idea for a Top 8. Hope Brian sees it. Would love to hear Brian's analysis on all 8. Comment section would be fun to read as well.
I actually was a big fan of the New Bossman when he came out in late 2032, the Bossman Slam 5000 and the Whater Wheel Cutter were actually really cool finishers, I didn't really mind the red swat team ring gear either.
"The Michael Cole sodomising poet who is rumoured to debut as an unfrozen nazi." That's definitely a line of words I never expected to hear in my lifetime.
Awesome work as usual Brian, love the information and style you bring to these reviews and countdowns! My only "wregret" was not finding this channel sooner!
Mr. TNA is the WWE World Champion Consequences Creed is the most entertaining man in the roster and has held the tag titles for almost 400 days Suicide/Manik is WWE's "first" cruiserweight champion
And the funny thing is that few if any of the current WWE stars were created at the "Performance Center". The only stars that I can think of is the women's division. That being said would be: Charlotte, Sasha, Bayley.
I respect your opinion but I disagree, as Charlotte, Sasha, and Bayley (also Becky Lynch) had already years of experience in the Indie and a reputation. Performance Center is for teaching wrestlers how to perform at the "WWE style", not bad considering the past 2-4 years WWE has signed almost all big Indy name, they currently have in my opinion the best talented rosters, shame that the ratings are in a all time low.
you can have the best roster in the country but if the booker or the "committee" is incompetent....nothing good will happen on tv. TNA proved this years ago and currently on Monday Night Raw.
So you know Brian (youtuber on this channel) , this current era is actually known as "The Network Era" .Because in between every match the commentators promote the Network ...it's a shame that they don't mention how it costs (HEAVY SARCASM for those that missed it).
don't worry,as Iwell mention the price right here, right now. *Ahem*. For access to the "best" wrestling right now and all the old classics dat you guys are going to get it for, you can get the WWE network for the low price of 9.99 a month.
Oh Bray Wyatt. Will you ever be threatening and kinda spooky again? Maybe if they'd actually let you win a match or two, you could get some credability back. Maybe even put the IC belt on you. A boy can dream...
I think WWE can't make their mind up... Undertaker is still around because Veterain... but can't work with Bray Wyatt since reality vs entertainment... if Bray was in a TNA like situation he'd probably be able to be as big as Broken Matt
Bray's character in TNA or Lucha Underground would be a great fit. But despite the trend away from "gimmicks" as such, we consistently see the supernatural side of the Wyatts. Idk he just needs wins tbh
For #1, would Issac Yankem & Sparky Plugg really count as bad considering their more known as Kane & Hardcore Holly now? To me, no. At least the "New Generation" doesn't have the problems that the "New Era" has now... So I'd flip-flop your first one & last one...
Am I the only one that liked guys like Kona Crush. Crush, Adam Bomb and Tatanka really should have gotten better pushes or you know any kind of push. I know Tatanka had a decent undefeated streak originally but did he ever win a belt and if he did was it more than one. Waste of a well liked wrestler.
Nmber 1-A on the list.....New Day Goofy clowns, ranting senseless mologogues for minutes, dancing and showing their tongues while having dildos strapped on the foreheads. Tag Champions for god knows what reason, even though they are 3 not 2 members. Forgettable title run, and force pushed so hard they are about to break a WWE record wihtout having a single good match or feud. Their mic skills are based on nothing but senseless ranting and a midget with a musical instrument he cant play that its bigger than him.
***** "they are unicorn horns"...yeah whatever you want to believe in. Not a single match of them has been memorable, the same for their promos (thats not "just an opinion" their title reing has been dragging even people who used to like them are bored), everything is forgettable about them, there has been nothing to point out as at least remarkable about them. Well I can play the FF song by tapping my desk...but it doesnt mean i can "play the desk". "obsession with dildos" says the upset guy who defends and clearly enjoys grown men thrusting their pelves, showing their tongues all the time and acting like strippers
Adam Bomb was one of my favorite wrestlers as a kid and I was a big fan of Crush too. Its was so disappointing to see the match they put on at Unforgiven '01. Adam Bomb did enter a Rumble at #30 so I guess that's something lol.
Terry Taylor was NEVER in line for the Mr Perfect gimmick because it was based on the fact Curt Hennig was really good at every sport. The Mr Perfect gimmick was created BECAUSE OF Curt Hennig, and it was never something just lying around waiting for a body.
Wrestling with wregret --- I'm a long time watcher and subscriber, first time commenting. But thank you for your amazing insight, advice to green trainees (like myself), and general level headed view on wrestling and what it's now/what it's been in the past.
About Leif Cassidy, I had never heard of either of those old rockers before, so I just thought he was WWF Jobber to the stars' Lance Cassidy's brother. :)
I don't like the New Era's name, but it is amazing how many good wrestlers they have. The Miz has even managed to return to popularity. This era is starting out pretty great!
Hate that I love all of your videos and never posted before in displeasure but having the New Generation as number 1 really hurts the feels. I fell in love with wrestling in 1987 when I was 3 and the New Generation got me through elementary. It was perfect viewing for my age and there was a lot of stars that came out of that time period and though there were over the top gimmicks by some, those gimmicks quickly left and much of the content was that of top names. Also the term “New Generation” wasn’t just some name they picked out of thin air either, that term was widely used throughout the late 80’s into early 90’s as a revolt to the yuppie, baby boomer generation. Even Pepsi used that slogan in the 80s as well. It basically described the “new generation” of what we know now as Generation X. But, I still love your shows and all of your content. Just wanted to point that out. xoxo
Watching this back how WCW's New Blood didn't get a mention is beyond me the big WCW reset in 2000 that was dead long before the PPV that actually named after it became they made the older guys they were rebelling against for holding them down the faces on the whole thing before normal service was resumed anyway.
I wonder what the worst old things in wrestling are? As in gimmicks or wrestlers that wore out their welcome. Zane do you have it in you to go this harsh?
when you said worst old things i just instantly thought of the old day, but as far as wrestlers or gimmicks that wore out their welcome the first i think of are hornswoggle, stardust and i really hate to say this cuz he's a legend but big show
You should cover more about the new generation era. And also cover how names and gimmicks can change careers. I liked your Kurt henning vs terry tailor examples.
In a flip of this trope, Old Day was one of the worst things I have witnessed in wrestling. At least, things like Katie Vick offend you but this was just boring and overlong.
The New Foundation.....couldn't have at least called them The New Hart Foundation......did Vince understand Owen had the same familial relation to Jim as Bret did?
Worst new thing? The fangirls that jumped on the WWE bandwagon and have been "fans" since 2015. You can spot them in Roman Reigns', Seth Rollins, Sasha Banks' tweet replies using words like "King", "Daddy", "Mom", "Queen" etc.
Strictly speaking, Bastion Booger and Crush (the Surfer, which isn't Kona Crush) weren't part of the New Generation. Nor was Luger on a bus. Furthermore, Mantaur and especially the Goon and Fantasio lasted about a minute or so. That's likely equating the current era with the League of Nations and the Old Day.
Raychronic420 Legit assholes, you mean. They were and are bullies. Is ‘hot pocket’ some new BS thing from 4chan that I don’t know or are you just mental?
@Raychronic420 You originally had a new good points. But neither does bullying make someone legit tough nor does it form an essential ingredient of wrestling. Your criticism would be more apt then years ago when muscular, bald guy with black trunks and an exaggerated opinion of himself was the WWE mainstay. Right now only Randy Orton survives of these times.
2:03.; Doug from rvdtito4life said "The Era Of The Athlete" in a video back in the fall of 2010, I believe it was & he was right. I'm still waiting for the name "The Era Of The Athlete" to be used.
8. New Era, same old schtick! A take on King Ross! 7. What do Bret and Owen Hart have in common? They teamed with Jim Neidhart! 6. New Midnight Express?!?! The original was better!!! 5. New Rockers?!?! Look at number 6! Shawn Michaels came up with that idea!?!? 4. New Blackjacks?!?! No disrespect to JBL and Windham, but the original with Lanza and Mulligan was better! It's John O'Clock mofo's! Another King Ross reference! 3. Bray Wyatt was once the new Face of Fear... until he lost to The Undertaker at WM 31! 2. I remember both versions of the L.O.D., that's something I try not to remember! 1. Attitude/Ruthless Agression/Golden eras > PG/New Generation eras! Enough said! #loyalwregretter #Z-A-N-E #fellowaspies
The original midnight Express were actually a TRIO in Memphis Randy Rose, Dennis Condrey, and Norvell Austin. Austin split from the team and turned heel (Yes the original Express were face at the start and even had battles with the Freebirds) and teamed with a young Koko B. Ware as the Pretty Young Things. Then Condrey got signed by the NWA where he got paired with Eaton, but eventually got replaced by Stan Lane.
I guess maybe because the New Gen was when I got into wrestling I still hold a lot of fond memories of that era. I guess I liked the more zany characters that came out of that era.
OtakuAnthony At least back then they had clearly defined gimmicks, now it's like here's...this guy, and look there's...another person. There aren't very many characters anymore.
You're absolutely right, that's the one thing about wrestling that I miss, all the characters. Nowadays the line between face and heel is blurred so much, and we have more tweeners than ever. Reigns, Rollins, Ambrose, some of the biggest faces in the company are all different shades of the same boring gray. It's why I like guys like Fandango so much.
Well, looks like you called, wyatt's cooldown has ended, given the fact he's now wwe champion over on smackdown, went from a carear with no title wins to suddenly getting the tag and bigest belt of them all within a few months
Great video, as usual. I like your take on things. And as a kid, I used to like the Monkeys. I watched them in syndication at 5am before Inspector Gadget, and other cartoons. Awesome times. 👍
Let's admit it guys, the attire of L.O.D 2000 actually looked badass
Back when Sunny looked better without the outfit on.
Meltzer was really down on it cuz he knew it was there to hide their deteriorated physiques
Rex Kidd Meltzer bitches and moans so much, you'd think he hates wrestling with a passion but watches to be ironic.
I LOVED Sunny's "barbarian-queen" costume!
Zane is seriously one of the best Wrestling-Based TH-camrs ever
Or simply the Best dude
You missed on a golden opportunity to talk about The New Blood. WCW's Megastable in 2000 led by Vince Russo and Eric Bischoff.
It was so bad that it's not worth talking about
Not watched the full video yet but am guessing it's about old tag teams getting renamed with one or more of the old team replaced, ie new midnight express, new rockers. So am guessing because new blood wasn't a tag team or stable that was once called blood then renamed new blood that's why they weren't on it
Maybe he can make a ""New" Top 8 Worst "New" Things in Wrestling" video and put them in it
And the New breed in ECW
The less said about it the better
The New Nexus? Husky Harris and Michael McGullicutty?
Don't forget Batis-- I mean, Mason Ryan
I actually thinked Mason Ryan deserved a lot more respect, and I was upset how the fans ruined his push, just because they thought they were all sly by chanting Batista at him. I also thought the New Nexus was a cool concept, over how they were being lead by CM Punk who still had this false prophet persona to him.
Daniel Greco Idk about the Welsh Batista...he looked awfully green the few times we actually saw him in a one on one match. Great look, but we never knew much more about him. M H-W I honestly forgot all about him XD
Mason Ryan was legit terrible.
if anything the era we're currently in is the Injury Wellbeing Era
The Suspension Era?
Matthew B The Missing Era...
The 'should be forgotten' era
***** Or you could shorten it to the "smark era"
HyperVoxel Whats Mainstream appeal? era
Calling the current version of WWE the "New Era' seems like an omen to fail.
The new era has began at least 3 times recently according to them. After the 2016 brand split, after the "fans" took over power after the McMahon claimed that they weren't giving us what we want.
Calling it "5 star era" like he suggested seems like a bamboozle
@@619Slipk 4 year's later after this video and we are still in the New era it feels no time has passed
Prescient.
Go Hawks!
The "New" ECW (WWECW) probably could have had a spot on this list. Otherwise, spot on.
I want to give this video a thousand likes just for the "Do The Mario" reference.
Kona Crush - "Brian, brah. You making the kids cry, brah."
Good list, man.
Osw reference
I dig it!
Now Bray Wyatt is a horror movie monster and pulls it off with brilliance
L.O.D. 2000 was worth it just to see Sunny in warrior-princess gear.
@Dutch Plan Der Linde this reply has aged like milk
Dishonorable Mention: ECW's New Breed.
Also, the only "New Rockers" I recognize are Paul London and Brian Kendrick.
That's so stupid
Your Teacher Matt Striker
as a request, would you ever consider doing a series of wrestling BOOK Reviews? I'd like to start reading some, but I'd like to know where to start.
Anything by mick foley is a great start
Natendowii I like this idea. I'm willing to listen to some others fans recommendations as well. I've read Bret and Mick's (first two) books, and that's all... I've heard Jericho's book is a good read. Any others anyone wants to toss out there?

Natendowii hey I have a ton of pro wrestling books to sell or trade. I've read so many it's hard to say where to start. Either The hitman Brett Hart or Flairs to be the man.
The New Brood? The Hardys were amazing, so why not just call them The Hardys? (Which in fairness they would wind up doing in short order)
this was one of the first terrible "new" things i thought of, too… but i guess the original brood wasn't held in much esteem, either.
It seems like they already dropped the "New Era" I haven't heard anybody reference that on TV since summerslam
The New generation era did put out more 5 star matches than any other era though. Owen and bret steel cage match, shawn and razor ladder match, austin and bret wm 13, shawn and taker first hell in the cell match.
undertaker HBK HIAC was attitude era

Dante Mack That was the new generation era, attitude didnt begin till the screwjob
Dante Mack The WWE stated themselves that Survivor Series 97 was the start of the attitude era
Max Payne notice bro how all those 5 star matches had really good stories .something that rarely happens nowadays.
God dammit Zane the New Generation is what made me a wrestling fan in the first place! It's ridiculous cartoonishness and outlandish 90's-ness of it all firmly places it in "So bad it's good" territory.
Wrong, it's firmly "So bad, it's bad" despite your misguided nostalgia.
FIXTREME it has nothing to do with nostalgia, I only became a wrestling fan a few years ago, but I loved watching the early nineties. The characters are outlandish but that made it interesting. The attitude era and ruthless agression era are better though

sadetwizelve thats basically what it is, invasion of the indies. or the ROH era.
+lezlethal ROH is pretty damn good. I watch it at night when I rest in bed.
I love re-watching your videos and it almost feels like they need to put the moniker of NEW on RAW lately.
Dude you're videos are fantastic on a consistent basis. Clear speaking, great content and visuals, just all around fantastic. Proud subscriber!
The New Generation had some talent but it seemed like most of it was faces and heels who had names you remember vs jobbers in 2-4 minute matches.
I may be vilified for saying this, but I think out of the two brothers, Owen was superior to Bret-don't get me wrong, Bret was really good and I was a big fan of his in the 90's, but I think Owen was the better performer, in terms of both in-ring ability and charisma. I don't disagree with you! I think Owen was definitely more entertaining if ways. He was definitely my favorite Hart brother to watch.
I think he was more charismatic and agile but he still wasn't better than Bret and Bret had a better look.
Owen actually won the WWF title at a house show but it was reversed. They celebrated his win and everything.
I actually was a big fan of the New Bossman when he came out in late 2032, the Bossman Slam 5000 and the Whater Wheel Cutter were actually really cool finishers, I didn't really mind the red swat team ring gear either.
This is by far the best wrestling channel on TH-cam keep up the good work
Michael Graham agreed, can't believe it took me til THIS SPRING to discover xD
I'd say it's on par with OSW Review for the top spot.
"The Michael Cole sodomising poet who is rumoured to debut as an unfrozen nazi."
That's definitely a line of words I never expected to hear in my lifetime.
waywaywaaait...did the new midnight express hsve the big cass and enzo finisher
Yes, and so did the New Foundation!
daniel hirt "gimmick infringement!!!111!!!111!11"
technically wouldn't Bug Cass and Enzo have the same finisher as the new Midnight Express
Mark H i was being an ass about it know its reverse...
jaboi123 Yes I believe it was!
Awesome work as usual Brian, love the information and style you bring to these reviews and countdowns! My only "wregret" was not finding this channel sooner!
I had the toys for the new Blackjacks and barely knew they existed on TV at the time, I think I would turn on my N64 during their matches.
Chilly Mcfreeze sounds like a McDonald's popsicle they were trying to sell lmao😂👍
New nexus. The first nexus sucked ass after cena buried the group.
We are halfway there with the "TNA era" when AJ Styles is joined by Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, and Bobby Roode as your guys closing WWE ppvs.
this is the Florida Era.
Mr. TNA is the WWE World Champion
Consequences Creed is the most entertaining man in the roster and has held the tag titles for almost 400 days
Suicide/Manik is WWE's "first" cruiserweight champion

don't worry,as Iwell mention the price right here, right now. *Ahem*. For access to the "best" wrestling right now and all the old classics dat you guys are going to get it for, you can get the WWE network for the low price of 9.99 a month.

"new" era sounds like they want to give it time to call it something else a few months down the line...
its a new era yes it is check my channel to check what's the new era
I have been thinking the same thing
+Charles Stevens III plz check my channel if u like then sub or don't
i thought it was called the reality era?
+King go to my channel bro
The Roman Reigns era. Vince's ultimate wet dream.
Oh Bray Wyatt. Will you ever be threatening and kinda spooky again? Maybe if they'd actually let you win a match or two, you could get some credability back. Maybe even put the IC belt on you. A boy can dream...

All the ladies...

The New Era should be renamed to "The Authority and Roman killed our ratings and now we're desperately trying to get them back Era".
Terry Taylor was NEVER in line for the Mr Perfect gimmick because it was based on the fact Curt Hennig was really good at every sport.
The Mr Perfect gimmick was created BECAUSE OF Curt Hennig, and it was never something just lying around waiting for a body.
The New Generation is what got me into wrestling. Also the New Gen gave us Monday Night Raw, Owen vs Brett, Ahmed Johnson promos and Goldust.
Man, you know you're stuff. Awesome video
Wrestling with wregret --- I'm a long time watcher and subscriber, first time commenting. But thank you for your amazing insight, advice to green trainees (like myself), and general level headed view on wrestling and what it's now/what it's been in the past.
What, no mention of The New Blood?
About Leif Cassidy, I had never heard of either of those old rockers before, so I just thought he was WWF Jobber to the stars' Lance Cassidy's brother. :)
Brah you hatin on Kona Crush brah, Makin us Crush fans Cry bah?
plus you forgot MR PERFECT in the new generation
2:15 unfortunately Martha Hart and her kids will never allow Owen to be in the Hall of Fame.
6:46 "no more words, because i drugged your coke-cola"
Funny you didn't mention the Smoking Gunns, Hakushi and Jeff Jarrett during that new generation era.
“A bad name can kill a preformers momentum dead in the water.”
Proof Retribution(T-Bar, SlapJack, Mace) and the Viking Experience.
no mention of the new nexus
I don't like the New Era's name, but it is amazing how many good wrestlers they have. The Miz has even managed to return to popularity. This era is starting out pretty great!
i came from the future to say: Keith Lee's new theme sucks!!
Just wanted to point that out. xoxo
Something tells me "Bastian Booger" was NEVER going to be the "next" Hulk Hogan...
Was supposed to be “New” Ultimate Warrior.
It's about time, I was getting sick of who war it better and zany showing what he got from some merchandise shit
+Zafar Khan Have you not been watching lately? I'm putting out tons of stuff that isn't what you're describing.
Wrestling With Wregret I thought you was doing a video like new things in the terms of things they started doing recently and you should do this vid
The new breed in ECW
Your Teacher Matt Striker
Watching this back how WCW's New Blood didn't get a mention is beyond me the big WCW reset in 2000 that was dead long before the PPV that actually named after it became they made the older guys they were rebelling against for holding them down the faces on the whole thing before normal service was resumed anyway.
I wonder what the worst old things in wrestling are?
As in gimmicks or wrestlers that wore out their welcome.
Zane do you have it in you to go this harsh?
I imagine X-Pac would be somewhere on that list
X-Pac was never welcome to begin with.
Wrestlers that wear out their welcome.... Sounds like the only list I would ever want to see Brock Lesnar at #1.
when you said worst old things i just instantly thought of the old day, but as far as wrestlers or gimmicks that wore out their welcome the first i think of are hornswoggle, stardust and i really hate to say this cuz he's a legend but big show
"....did I just have a stroke?"
I lost it at that part 🤣🤣
You should cover more about the new generation era. And also cover how names and gimmicks can change careers. I liked your Kurt henning vs terry tailor examples.
There's something very unsettling about seeing Cosby saying "no more words" before taking a drink...
A "New" Wregret video, two G&P vids and a new WWE Sins all in one day? Best Day Ever confirmed
In a flip of this trope, Old Day was one of the worst things I have witnessed in wrestling. At least, things like Katie Vick offend you but this was just boring and overlong.
Crush was awesome
Which version of Crush? Demolition, Kona, Evil Japanese Sympathizer, Nation of Domination, Disciples of Apocalypse, nWo Hollywood, or Kronik?
I agree. I liked Kona Crush.
Same
nWo Hollywood and Kronik doesnt count, as he changed the name to Brian Adams.
The New Foundation.....couldn't have at least called them The New Hart Foundation......did Vince understand Owen had the same familial relation to Jim as Bret did?
New Jack sucks.
new jacks evil
jack's
New Jack is a national treasure.
Nicolas Cage vs New Jack confirmed.
"New Jack sucks at video games"
i feel wwe should call the new era their in the indy era because the guys with the biggest Push's right now were all well known in the Indy's
Worst new thing? The fangirls that jumped on the WWE bandwagon and have been "fans" since 2015. You can spot them in Roman Reigns', Seth Rollins, Sasha Banks' tweet replies using words like "King", "Daddy", "Mom", "Queen" etc.
"why do women like wrestling now" headass
I loved the super Mario super show when I was a kid. Thanks for the reference Brian!
NEW MAN TRONSON!
That’s his son
I thought the heel version of the Rockers with Marty & Al were pretty entertaining, I actually liked them
Strictly speaking, Bastion Booger and Crush (the Surfer, which isn't Kona Crush) weren't part of the New Generation. Nor was Luger on a bus. Furthermore, Mantaur and especially the Goon and Fantasio lasted about a minute or so. That's likely equating the current era with the League of Nations and the Old Day.
@Raychronic420 They came from this New Generation.
You selectively picking out a few for your argument says alot.
Raychronic420 Legit assholes, you mean.
They were and are bullies.
Is ‘hot pocket’ some new BS thing from 4chan that I don’t know or are you just mental?
Raychronic420 Congratulations- it’s stupid AF and nobody’s going to use it.
Raychronic420 Yeah, piss off.
5:50 Captain Lou's meme machine went haywire
I'm surprised you know who The Monkees, Leif Garret, and David Cassidy are. I bet you don't remember the 80's disaster The New Monkees.
2:03.; Doug from rvdtito4life said "The Era Of The Athlete" in a video back in the fall of 2010, I believe it was & he was right.
I'm still waiting for the name "The Era Of The Athlete" to be used.
you forget the new brood
I don't think the New Brood had the same problems as the New Blackjacks or the New Rockers tho, as they managed to be successful and got over.
xXDemonHeartZXx well okay you have the point
i only say that couse the original brood was way better and i don,t like someone else take that name
MRawesome agreed!
He also forgot the New Nexus
@Brian Zane: Loved your * new* take on this week's show.
nwo 2000
WWF version of the nwo
NWWEO was actually good at first. Then Wrestlemania X-8 happened...
Hey Brian, I'd love to see you do a full video of the NWA Invasion.
like for James Ellsworth for 2K17 DLC
3:44 It's Steve Corino, (When Corino and Julio Sanchez/Fantastical/Dinero lost to New Midnight Express by DQ when Headbangers ran in on Bart and Bob)
#loyalwregretter
#Z-A-N-E
#fellowaspies
The original midnight Express were actually a TRIO in Memphis
Randy Rose, Dennis Condrey, and Norvell Austin.
#fellowaspies
The New Brood if you blinked you missed it
The 2016-2020 period was called the Network Era
RIP Bray Wyatt
I think the "New Nexus" from early 2011 deserves a (dis)honorable mention...
Heyy Bryan TND aka Total Nonstop Deletion is coming aren't you going to give your thoughts about it.
I think the best name would be The Strong Style Era
Hey, you can spin off a lot of other cool top 8s from this video. Worst Attire, Worst tag teams, Worst reboots. Just throwing it out there.
I popped out loud for Lou's Super Mario Bros. Super Show reference.
Do The Mario
excellent, EXCELLENT presentation. couldn't have done it any better!
Do The Mario: Swing your arms from side to side, come it's time to go do The Mario...
Brian: ¿Did I had a strocke?
That Wyatt guy is doing okay for himself
Nice reference to the Super Mario Bros. Super Show
Do The Mario
DJVexillum because they dont know how to book (vince) but foley db n shane are doing excellent work in that regard
The Michael Cole Sodomizing Poet... I try to forget about this. Lol
The NEW Daniel Bryan scoffs at this video, like hold my kombucha while I get this shit over.
