The classic Fifas with modern day graphics would be immense. FIFA 20 should implement a mode where legendary teams play each other with their kits from that season for instance arsenal invincibles 03/04, United 98/99 ect

I was 15 when this came out. I remember thinking how amazing the graphics were when I played this. It was my first Fifa on PS2 having played Fifa 97 through to 2001 on PS1 and the jump in graphics felt massive at the time.
If I remember right because division one (championship) isn’t in the game when teams are relegated from the Premier League they are replaced by unlicensed teams. I think this also happened in Fifa 2003 aswell.
Fun fact: this was Wayne Rooney's 1st FIFA. His 18 Year Old Self in Everton's Sub or Reserves if memory serves. Yes, it's been both that long, ant that recent.
Wait a minute how the heck was FIFA 97 on the Megadrive (Genesis)?? The Sega Saturn was already out by then! Not to mention the Dreamcast was just around the corner lol. Were they really still making Genesis/Megadrive games till then?
@@MerkhVision Yeah, historically EA were quite forgiving with older consoles, at least for FIFA. IIRC FIFA 14 still came out for PS2, which was 8 years after the PS3 and even the PS4 was out by then. I guess later on it was just a matter of swapping in new team sheets with no new features for older consoles, whereas I remember having both 96 and 97 for Megadrive, with indoor mode being new in 97.
I was 11 when this came out and the graphics were amaaaazzzinnnnggg back then. I came from ISS pro evolution on ps1 and my friend had this on pc. Roberto Carlos looked photo realistic! I was amazed :)

Old FIFA was wild, with the insanely arcadey FIFA 2000 to FIFA 98 having indoor football. Great music too.

Through Balls - Spot the blurred trail, press S a little harder to put more weight on the pass 2. Shoot first time - Don't wait for the ball to arrive, pass and press D before the ball reaches the striker. I used to do a lot of cut backs/layoffs to outside the box and pre-press D, would score lots of first time long range rockets like that!!! Can't get to play this game on Windows anymore :(

Play FIFA 06, everything was revolutionary when it came out. The new commentators, the freekick system that was on it's last year, and the FIFA 94 arcade inside the game.

Through-balls did exist, you go to the wing back positions, hold the button down until it's full power, run inside with the player you pass to and shoot.
FiFA 2002 actually looked ahead of it's time. Graphics got downgraded to hell since FiFA 03 and somewhat improved on FiFA 2004. But the kits started looking flat because they made the 3d model of jersey look just like a cylinder instead of having wrinkles.
