George Howard was one of the greatest sax men ever. I saw him perform this @ the Myerhoff in Baltimore,MD. in Feb. 1987 & he was outstanding. I'll always cherish the moment & forever miss him. R.I.P. George. Thanx for the memories & The music will live on Forever. Vaya Con Dios Amigo.
I was blessed to have been able to see George perform this & many of his songs @ the Myerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore,MD. in Febreo 1987. My ex-wife treated me to George Howard(b 15 Sept 1956.- 20 Mar.1998) & Bob James that night & I really enjoyed it. George was the consummate gentleman & performer. He was a student of the late Great Grover Washington,Jr. & a great "Saxmaster" in his own right. George left us oh too soon, but his body of work remains to remind us of the joy he brought to us with his music. Rest well Brother George you are missed,but not forgotten. For one shining moment you made this world a truly "Nice Place To Be". Vaya con Dios mi amigo.

He is dearly missed to this day, and for years, I wondered if there were any live video clips of George out there, thanks to you and TH-cam, I know it to be so...May God embrace George's spirit with the love and joy he gave so many here on Earth in his time.

My mother had an old cassette tape with a collaboration of jazz songs on them and this was one of the songs that I've kept rewinding till the quality got bad. Now I'm going to try to find out what album this song was on since half the battle is now over.

Never got to see George in his prime but he surely inspired many of musicians. Seen a lot of these great jazzy shows in Europe in the last 20 years.
