I love it! Marshall Allen playing a Crumar EVI (that I had the honor of modding and hot-rodding for him)! Thanks for posting this. I will pass it along to his admirers!
Bravo! to Marshall Allen! The house in Germantown--I wrote to then mayor Ed Rendel to make it a historical landmark. No reply then,,,but it should still happen.
it was amazing to see him perform live, from the front row, in Asheville, NC a few years ago... I was born in Philadelphia and was introduced to Sun Ra's music by my grandmother at the Bawa Fellowship in Philly... but I wasn't ready for the EVI!!!! It blew my mind. This man is a genius... if I had a way to time travel back to witness Sun Ra himself, Marshall Allen live is the way!
I used see Sun Ra back in the day when he came to NYC.. first time around 1971.. all the original members !.. spoke to them several times too .. remember some great memorable performances one at the Five Spot club.. amazing music
Thank you so much for putting this out in the universe. It is wonderful to hear such a committed musician talk about his commitment. Peace and Namaste. ✌️🙏
So beautiful! have seen the Arkestra sharing music in cafe Oto in London several times. Love. With this said, - does anyone know what is the little white keyboard Marshall is playing here?
Amazing. Marshall is a woodwind wizard with a crystal alto tone.
i hope he lives another 100 years
