That facts is the corvette is lot more faster then new announce Ferrari F80 ,and this new corvette less than the fraction of the cost the Ferrari it quite pathetic embarrassing. Ferrari should never put V6 to begin with.
@@thejdmunknown4228 when people pay a premium price, they expect a premium product. V6 is a little too low brow to be in a proper Ferrari. If they wanted another Dino line, that would be a different story
Im gonna be honest here If ferrari actually made a 499p roadcar as their new flagship with the v6 it would've been 10 times more well received then this car... If you wanna show off your technology and racing prowess at least do it right
It’s good to see speed runs, they’re a lot less common nowadays. As Christian von Koenigsegg said, they’ve reached the pinnacle now and anything past 300 mph is close to being unsafe.
Power to weight. The C8 ZR1 is a heavy car. Potentially over 4k lbs where as the F1 was under 2700 lbs wet. Also the aero would come into play. Plus the top speed of the F1 wasn't consistent
@@tyrewilliams4688 how the F1 top speed wasnt consistent????? LMAO they just tested in both directions and of course it will be different depending on the wind, as top speed is aero drag dependent only
@@wololo10 I should have worded that better, it has been a while since I've done research on the F1. The world record was set by a car with an unrestricted rev limiter. Regardless it's still impressive to this day. Just like how it's impressive that a good ole American made production car would cost a lot less than its competition for similar performance.
All the trash talk, but this car will be mass produced unlike any other car you mentioned. They just took a dump on the 99 percent of the industry. This car even at 250,000 would be a slap in the face to most supercars, and half of the hypercars.
@@HSGAutomotive Especially the E-Rays when they decide to paint all the black bits on the normal Vette’s body color. Absolutely obscene with the amount of lines on the car.

I can only imagine how nuts the zora will be if this is already hitting hypercar speeds
Will be much less as it's track focus car
@@alialkaabi197The Zr1 is a track focused car already. The Zora is just awd and electric motors
Done with TWO people on board. Gotta love it 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Loving how it looks!
This has made me F***in proud to be a Chevy fan again!!!!
Hopefully this is what makes Lamborghini finally get off their asses.
Corvette setting the standard again in American performance cars.
Cool car, but once they make something like this they certainly like to take the truth and stretch it haha. Nice vid man.

I agree about the V6 but Chevy and Ferrari are in two different races
Peoples really complain about the V6 huh ?

The V6 is not the problem here.

Yay
All Mark Reuss needs to now is pull an Akio Toyoda and race under an assumed identity.
Still 10 mph slower than the McLaren F1 with half the power 30 years ago.
Just think about it...

And it had 2 well-fed Yanks on board during the run.
What a flex….
I still don’t like how it’s mid engine but whatever IG.
Same here I prefer the C6/7
Cool to see the split window back but it’s not much of a looker thou.
Never been a C8 fan visually either. Looks like a box from the back
