100%. the way he can transform is chameleon-like. definitely raised the bar for the rest, though that era of cast was great in general. the newer guys can't do much, they keep breaking character, can't act, and really just recite lines (i.e. pete davidson)
@@karnasingh860 Easily? I have to disagree. You are talking about 150+ people. 'Easily' above Dan Ackroyd, Dana Carvey, Will Farrell, Phil Hartman. Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Kristen Wiig, Gilda Radner, Tina Fey, etc....sorry, I definitely do not think he is 'easily the best'.
I think that's part of the genius, to do an impression of someone not everyone knows. It's funny regardless, but then if you know who Mason is, you're super in on the joke. It makes the audience members who do get the joke feel special.
He sounds so much like Mastroianni it ruined like the first hour of La Dolce Vita for me because all I could hear was Hader! Bills a big film buff I'm sure there's a bit of Mastroianni in there too.
At first, I thought he was impersonating Marcello Mastroianni because of the white suit, but his Italian sounds more like Spanish to my ear and he is a little bit too agressive to play Mastroianni, who was really soft-spoken in real life. So I thought it was more satire of Italian-Americans... but no, it's satire of Italy, and pretty brutal, too ! As an Italian, I find it hilarious and painful at the same time.
Using roman (who were a bunch of hyper aggressive, slave owning savages) references as a signal of ones own intelligence is incredibly annoying and a sign of somewhat limited wisdom.
The idea that at some point in his life, Bill Hader sincerely uttered the phrase “No, I don’t have impressions”.
he didn't. but Vinny did.
I could listen to Vinny Vedecci for hours
Me too.
Raw talent - I personally think he is in the top 10 (or even top 5) of all SNL players ever.

Agreed. Super versatile in actor and in playing characters. Really good writer.
He is easily the best one

Who's better?
Says he does not do impressions ...becomes one of the best at doing them
Is the GOAT for SNL.
im gonna say it. im in love with bill hader
the whole world is, Alex
That James Mason impression is genius, I just wish more people knew who that was
I for one, wish I knew who James Mason was.

@Useonlyforstudy M'Dear I do now! He's good. 😄

A guy that says he doesn't do impressions, then manages to an impression within an impression. HE is the real life inception.
Pure talent that Vinny. Bill Hader's pretty good too.
I was expecting the Italian guy figuring out he was mocking him turns around and be like HEY HEY HEY ! And that's will be the complete inspiration
Grazie!
I hope they release all the vinny videcci videos in youtube...
SNL has done that.
@@chanilastname7217 They have not done that
@@slevemcdichael5274yes they did...
@@Croissantrophy.meme.channel Not ALL of them, for example there is not the one with Jon Bon Jovi
@@fanofthelinkinparkalso not the one with Julia Louis Dreyfus which was the first one
He needs to make a movie with multiple personages.
LOL! He's killing it with James Mason, but the audience has no idea who that is.
I hope Bill Hader never changes
Based on the RAI shows that my Italian mother in law watches, he pretty much nailed it.
The intro is 100%. That late 80s style kinda never changed
@@anabltc I was going to write that. Everything on those skits fits perfectly
"I don't do impressions."
He's one of the best I have seen though.
Here after a binge of Vinny 😂
Algorithm taketh, algorithm giveth
Bill Hader is so awesome ❤️
Stefon recommended this video to me... He said it had Furkles, James Gayson impressions and midgets....
The best part of this is that there is a real Vinny Viducci running around somewhere! 😂
Absolutely spot on James Mason!
Love that Vinny, so talented with those impressions.
I just love his comedy!
Saw him at a café on Bowery. I’m such a fan I just sat there and kept to myself though. #lowkeyaf
I am madly in love with Bill Hader 💘💘💘💘💓💓💓
Him and jim carey are legendary...
He*
He sounds exactly like the great Marcello Mastroianni
I always thought vinny vedecci was Hader's impression of Mastroianni speaking english, if you hear the Letterman interview it sounds the same
Because of the white suit I suppose?
@@floatingsara actually because it is a spot on impression of mastroianni’s English ahahahah

I bet you a 100 quid that the interviewer didn't know who James Mason was.

I saw it mostly as a satire of Italian TV
The Italians come off charming in these skits.
Hader is one of the best.
How good he is!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Once you pay attention to it you start to see Andy Kaufmans influence everywhere.
How could nobody laugh at "how much are the doughnuts without the gift certificate?"
Beefarando, beefarande!
Bahaha beefanardo
Crazy it rook so many years to be seen
Bill Hader is awesome
He’s top ten.
Vinny Vedicci bits remind me of old SNL, probably early 90s, when it was consistently funny in interesting ways
why it comes to my recommendation after 6 years? and there is only one comment?
Lisca Ardiwinata wow wtf same
@Jason Bouphasavanh I did not watch RAI Television
Okay but imagine being the person this is based off of
Very talented ,I love his barry series on hbo
What a talent
Vinny Vedecci is a classic!
What a legend.
My wife, ladies and gentlemen... Lizzie laughing is ASMR
Bill is really incredible!
Amazing character! and AI is an awesome movie!
The algorithm blesses us again
He didn’t do impressions until he got to SNL?!
“How many endings does this movie have?” Is the perfect description of the movie A.I.
Wow. I wouldn't expect The New Yorker editor to be so shy:-)
where tf do I find all parts of Vinny Vedecci?
found this playlist! th-cam.com/play/PLkQNXvekorf9yoXtr4PuqKN5hX9PRkCkf.html
I need the link to the Bon Jovi interview 🙏
The whole sketch on TH-cam at: Bill Hader performs the character Vinny Vedecci @ Val Myers' Garage Comedy Show
Interviewer has no idea who James Mason is. The audience laughed, but not sure how many of them know either.
wow, just wow..
A.I. was released the summer before my third birthday. Wow.
A missed opportunity by SNL to utilize Hader's amazing imitation of James Mason.
I wonder if he’s been to Italy. It depends which part north or south.
I want to watch real Italian reactions watching Vinnie Vedicci
Genius
If heaven exists, Bill Hader will be my husband there.
Best Charakter ever 😀
I can be John Malkovich?
His Vinny Verducci is better than Matt LeBlanc's...
hahahahahahahahahahahahahah love him!!!!
Rowan Atkinson and Jim Carrey combination character 😅🤳
Bill Hader can do any voice in the world and he chooses to talk normally in that one?
The guy is absolutely brilliant!!!!!! 😅😅😅😅
One of the interesting things about Bill is that he can imitate almost every voice, and yet his "normal" voice is the worst of all of them.
WTF where are u people
I find insulting, this is not italian, but a strong local dialect
It’s not meant to be actual Italian. It’s satirical.
1st commenter.
Good job
Dammit! The video has been out for 6 years, and I'm only 21 hours late!
Sounds more like he is speaking greeks to me, to be honest.
Wtf does he use wear those fake teeth 🤔
