After mergim showing these places that other vloggers didn't get to show, I realised that most, if not all, only showed an inch of what our country has to offer. It's not bad to show the bad and the poor side but let's not forget that our country has so much to offer and is really beautiful. Thank you, Mergim!

Mergim is in a class all his own. His range of appreciation is wide, like the disparity in the socioeconomic status of our countrymen. Mergim has a gift for presenting to viewers that spectrum without compromising dignity. Thanks for reminding us Filipinos that although we may not be as wealthy as our neighbors, we are rich in so many ways! 🇵🇭

Mergim -- Your coverage of Ortigas buildings, inside and out, is like reading Architectural Digest. The tour is informative and enjoyable. Thank you. I don't usually favour cathedrals for consumers, but the dignity of words with which these edifices are described is inspiring. FYI, I don't know about Ortigas Center.

You were close to Capitol Commons in Pasig. I had the pleasure of being lost in one of my trips back to the Philippines from abroad, and was pleasantly surprised by the great improvement from 20 years ago. The food scene is probably more interesting than BGC? Not sure but if you get the chance, visit the area. Also, maybe you can set aside time to visit Balabac group of islands in the south of Palawan. Also, don’t forget Batanes once you ve saved up enough money for airfare. They only have one hotel called Fundacion Pacita and a lot of hostels and home stays. Thank you for the great storytelling in your videos! Keep safe!

@@MergimVlogsYT The Banchetto Weekend Market at Emerald usually starts at Saturday 5am to 5pm and on Sundays 5am to 1pm. It's located at Strata 2000 building near the Ortigas Park area. There's also a Greenfield Weekend Market, just right across Shagri-la mall. I'm looking at some of the latest videos and it's much smaller now compared to 9 years ago, perhaps, due to the pandemic.

It' good you showcased an enclave of Metro Manila that's doesn't get much vlogger exposure. I'm glad you took the advice of one of your fans to expose it as it deserves to be shown and your not like most (if not all) foreign vloggers converging on Makati & BGC highlighting it as "Modern Manila". Ortigas Center is as important as those districts too. It being a big and significant commercial, business, entertainment, & leisure enclave of Metro Manila. You did a very good job and will continue to support your vlogs.

You pretty much summed it up when you said most underrated CBD. For me that pertains to luxury condo rentals as there are only four high end condos between the new SM Tower and Jollibee Tower as The Westin Sonata and Galleon are still under construction. With so few luxury condos, there are at least seven new office buildings under construction plus the newly built BDO Twins and Jollibee Tower that can house BPOs. The potential for luxury rentals in the next 20 years that cater to Expats with generous housing allowances is therefore very promising. ADB alone is an ample source of foreign tenants that are hired periodically by the bank.

The reason most vloggers miss Ortigas Centre and other areas specially the northren parts of Metro Manila is the monstrous traffic or inadequate (crowded) public transportation to get there if you are based in Makati/BGC or Manila. Having a motorbike saved you a lot of time and inconvenience (probably not so nice with the rains. Best thing you did, hiring a bike.

People love garden parks, the ambiance feels SO OLD because some roads still has electrical wires, damage sidewalks are not fixed and modernize. IT'S a BUSINESS DISTRICT it MUST be BEAUTIFUL, PLEASING,etc. HOPE Ortigas makes a BIG CHANGE,

CORRECT, because BGC is NOT a CBD. but a MIXED USED, that why there are BIG OPEN SPACES for leisure, parks, entertainment, a CBD has very less OPEN SPACE because the FOCUS is on BUSINESS More commercial buildngs and residential buildngs, that why condo units in BGC is smaller, because ONLY FEW lot a alloted for buildng condos, and SO many people WANT to live in BGC, try to visit C5 area, Bridgetowne by Robinson land, Parklinks by Ayala land, etc, I thnk 150+ hectares??? 5 diffrent developers, 3 developer NO NEWS YET, the 2 is also a MIX USED COMPLEX, lots of GREEN OPEN SPACES like BGC, units are more bigger than BGC, I heard that IT A REQUEST of many people WHO WANT to live in BGC but have no oportunity to buy, that why this developer did this C5??? I NOT SURE if thats true???

There is another mall in Ortigas called Estancia Mall. The 3 high end malls in Ortigas are Shangrila, The Podium and Estancia Mall. Estancia Mall sits on an enclave with a mini park and big expensive houses. You should check that out. Ayala The 30th Mall is also near Estancia. Its a small mall and also right beside exclusive subdivisions in Ortigas. I worked in Ortigas for a long time. It is a cross point between Mandaluyong Rizal Pasig and Quezon City. Its a super busy area because people drop off in either Megamall and Galleria from Makati or Quezon City going to Antipolo and Pasig

Estancia mall is NOT part of Ortigas Center,

Finally! Happy with this feature because Ortigas is my area. You actually had a shot of my place.
    Some info:
Ortigas is no longer the 2nd most important CBD. It lost it to BGC when the Philippine Stock Exchange moved to BGC. Even Mall of Asia Area properties are now more expensive to buy/lease than Ortigas properties.
Ortigas is still prestigious because Asian Development Bank is headquartered there, as well as many big Filipino companies like BDO (SM's bank), San Miguel and Jollibee. Meralco is just outside the boundary.
Capitol Commons is considered an extension of Ortigas Center.
Ortigas Center and BGC are linked by a new bridge (Ortigas-BGC Bridge). It will also pass by Pioneer and Greenfield districts.
Greenfield and Pioneer districts are directly south of Ortigas Center, across Shaw Boulevard from Shangri-la. Both used to be industrial areas, being right by the river, but spillover development from Ortigas has gentrified the area. Consider going there too.
Greenfield is also a planned township with some retail, a few condos and offices. It's much smaller than Makati CBD, Ortigas and BGC. Its central area feels about as big as Eastwood, Although it has more open spaces.
Pioneer has a few offices and retail. There's a condo boom in the area because of its location between Ortigas and BGC, as well as access to EDSA.

Wrong information San Miguel and Jollibee isn't outside the boundary of Ortigas business center. its still part of OBC. Ortigas business center is NOT PASIG city only. but Pasig city, Quezon city & Mandaluyong City. where San Miguel, Jollibee, Shangrila mall, Shangila hotel, etc are in Mandaluyong city. That is also part of OBC. Inside the Ortigas road, Edsa, & Shaw blvd are ALL PART of OBC.

WRONG Ortigas Center is STILL # 1 MOST IMPORTANT CBD, proof? the government will NOT put 2 station of MRT and 2 station of subway in Ortigas center area, kung number 1 ang MAKATI CBD, ay dun ilalagay ng goberno ang FOCUS ng Projek, pero STILL nasa Ortigas Center pa rin, kac ORTIGAS CENTER ang MOST IMPORTANT Cbd and NOT Makati, tao lng namn nag CLAIM na Makati, pero sa Ortigas ay goberno nag CLAIM,

Ortigas business center is NOT Pasig city ONLY, but 3 cities, Pasig city, Quezon city & Mandaluyong city. Shangrila Plaza mall is in Mandaluyong city were it is part of Ortigas business center, Robinson Galleria is in Quezon city area.

Please visit Filinvest City in Alabang, Muntinlupa City. It's touted as the Green CBD of the South. You'll definitely love the parks there. I think it's the only CBD in Metro Manila that's eco friendly and consciously incorporated green spaces into their cityscape. They earned the LEED certificate because of that. And oh, you'll also definitely love their flagship mall called Festival Alabang! There's so many to do there, ride a roller coaster, train and double deck carousel, do arcade games, feel the fresh air on Water Garden, connect spiritually with their brand new modern chapel, stroll their parks, etc
