- SCP-2316 is a body of water within which anomalous sensory phenomena manifest. On their return from Grace’s sister’s funeral, Grace and her ex-boyfriend make a ‘quick' stop at a lake area from her childhood where they encounter SCP-2316.

When I was young, my dad read Stephen King's, Children of the Corn. After that we had to keep spare car keys on us just in case something like this happened, lol.
It was my Dad's rule.
The thing is, it has saved my butt twice, once I locked my keys in the car, and the other time my kids locked keys in the car, but I always have a spare, and both my husband and I carry a set of keys for each vehicle.
Only thing that sucks nowadays is some keys have chips
Yeah, me and my family usually keep the extra car keys, and I sometimes have one on hand when I'm in the car with them too. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how most people would look at it), it's not easy to duplicate my car keys since they are opened using a fob.
@@aidenog7380 And you rarely get spare keys when buying second hand too, I paid 4k for my car, aa spare set of keys, coded to the car is 400... Maybe someone does a cheaper version, but not by much.

The Foundation, after already having some difficulties with 2316 just being bodies that didn't actually move before: *This presents a problem.*
Started as a very realistic glimpse into the conflict between Grace and Adam. Grace wanted to sit in her feelings because they were authentic and realistic while Adam wanted to reframe the situation to be positive. The "You're not here!" line was very impactful with that in mind. This kind of great writing shows a throrough understanding of motivations by the writer. That tension combined with the legitmate suspense was very well done. Props.
Fun fact- the “you’re not here” line was a brilliant breakthrough by Elizabeth during one of our rehearsals. Most of that breakdown was rewritten after the original dialogue felt too choppy and not organic.

I really admire how the absolute chad actually almost escaped the SCP, its crazy how well this is made
Personally, I would’ve gone near the road and tried to hitchhike rather than take my chances at that damn river. It’d be a long ass and painful wait with the leg, sure, but at least I wouldn’t have even the most remote chance of being dragged in the water by a demon version of my X 😂.
Honestly he could have gotten away if he didn't go back for the jacket. The SCP foundation would have found him most likely and administered an amnestic and he could have lived a semi-normal life. That is if you don't include the subconcious trauma and now likely phobia of water. Shame its hard to see all the options when under such pressure. I would have just hobbled my ass as far as I could until I found someone.

I’m not sure what’s scarier, the foundation NOT being around or that they might show up if I find an anomaly. Without them around I also would have gone back for the lost keys depending on how distant I was from anyone else

Really loved this! SCP is an invaluable piece of modern horror history and the creativity it births is especially amazing to see in film form and from a fellow student!

I think about this SCP a lot when it comes to my grief for the people I’ve lost recently. I 100% would jump in if I thought I recognized bodies in the water. But the whole time I’m running there, in the back of my mind I’d be thinking: “Do the bodies in the water recognize me?” Because my grief from losing them has made me almost unrecognizable. That being said, great film. Thank you for this wonderful piece of art.

wth this was really good! Love a good horror story with some emotional drama! I like the idea too of regular people encountering these SCPs, if the foundation somehow wove its way into these encounters, that'd be really cool, like maybe saving a few people at the last minute or something, or the casualties leading to the foundation discovering an anamoly. Great video either way!

I wrote like 5 different endings for this- kept trying to put some people in lab coats or military gear at the end from the foundation but none of them rly worked well so we just went with the credits rolling over the serene lake. Would love to do another film related to this though, was such a fun space to work in.

This is insane. The acting is some of the most realistic ive seen in a youtube movie, the plot is great, its based off one of my favorite fandoms and its generally great all around. I feel like this is on par with things like SCP: OVERLORD which I assume had a way higher budget than this film. I am genuinely in shock at how good this is 10/10

Very well done. Maybe a little bit clunky with the dialog in one or two spots. The stretching arm was great. The source material really allows for a lot creative ideas.

Well I hate to bring a few bad news bears to the party, BUT, that fish most def died from the shock of the water temp change as soon as he released it. 😐 also, I hate to say it, but I cannot take the actress seriously. Besides that, this was FUCKING WONDERFUL.

Honestly, both the sides of the 'who is annoying' argument have a point. Grace is grieving and seems to take it out on Adam, but Adam should just give her space. Sure, Grace should have told him so but depending on how long they had been dating he might've known at least to some extent what she needed. They're so flawed and that makes it much more real and intriguing.
Anyhow, great film! The acting and cinematography are both amazing, I'd love to see more!

I didn’t find the boy or the girl to be the villain in this piece. She’s grieving and needs space more than anything, he wants to fix her but can’t really deal with the ugliness of her traumas (including the implied childhood abuse). It’s a messy human story.
Edit: the true villain of this piece is every fragile male who’s commented to tell me that the female character who’s experienced significant childhood trauma with a boyfriend who can’t understand her yet who still tries to dominate her time is the bad guy because she’s nawt vwery nice and is being mean to the poor boy wah wah. Sex vending machine broke 😫This is why the women in your life don’t like you

I gotta say though I felt that guy with my whole chest when he finally said he couldn’t do it anymore; trauma or not, you get so burnt out trying your best to be there for someone and you never feel appreciated. At a certain point, it just can’t be all on you anymore.

The girl is evidently the horror villain. Just look at her speed - she is just walking energetically and the guy can't keep up with her, while on a full run. She is a slasher villain, it's so obvious.
Despite being a low budget film, this was really reaally good! I got the thrill when i was watching. Keep this going and youll be amazing in the future!

Only thing I got confused on is that in the document for 2316 it states that anyone 50 meters or closer to the lake are considered lost, so how did the dude make it out of the water, to his car, and back to the dock? I didn't expect him to come back up after they both got submerged. Idk maybe I'm just confused as to the parameters of this scp

@@ryanleshock that's probably a good explanation, I'm sure the guy was already dead the minute he got near the water but it may have taken longer for him to be taken due to exactly that, while the girl was grieving and a lot more susceptible to that mental control. At least that's what I'm okay with believing lol

Exactly what I thought
From the opening scene being a conflict, we got to immediately immerse and witness the situation. Grace’s pathos added to the realism of the situation. The repetitive line “you’re not here” was very telling as it relates to the conflicting feelings between Grace and Adam. Additionally, Adam saying “I am here” is also conflicting Grace. Furthermore, Grace repeating the line “you’re not here” can be perceived as a way to protect Adam as she may have had a vision or something; (also referring to the radio scene when you can hear “if you feel unwell-“ where Grace seems to go into a quick trance). Honorable to mention the usage of the pause in the commentary between the two added to the suspense of the situation. Well Done! 👍

SCP-2316 are bodies that the person knows in the water which causes the person to go deeper into the water, not living person dragging people into the water.

@@Liquefaction The page may have been modified since this video was originally produced, as it does say there is an interview but it's been expunged and the last modification to the page was Jan 30th of 2024 as of writing this, so they may have changed that.
As it is currently, the page for SCP-2316 says in the very last sentence, "Individuals who enter the lake in this way are lost, and to date none have been recovered."

Him: *Panics and follows while trying to stop her*
Her: It's too late.... *Gone and replaced by something else*

You know, I find it weird how at one point, there's somebody in the lake who reminds me of a childhood friend...
All right this may not get respond to but..
First I love how the guy and girl interact on closer inspection I absolutely understand him trying to make her feel better and failing but also her really not giving her any him any slack but then again it is the day of her sister's death and not being her ex-boyfriend I doubt she's really just going to let what he says go,
But my only problem with it is it doesn't pull you under it's implied that it willingly makes you go in like it doesn't even feel like it's influencing you, it makes it feel like you should go in like it's your own thought will and and it's implied that the reason you recognize the bodies is because the lake itself wants people to remember it because something happened there for these bodies to be there and no one remembers them no one's talking about it they just seem like no one cared about all these people who disappeared (my take on it)
But I do respect your take on it and if I do want to add something positive the girls arms gliding through the water was terrifying
