    As a manual wheelchair user of over 25 years, I appreciate your video as my FB friends have been urging me to check out Rainbow. Getting a walking perspective is priceless! It looks like the walking trails has some challenges but excellent for the most part. COVID changed everything in getting people to visit the Florida State Parks - THANK YOU again

      I am glad this video helped a little. There are some paths that would work with a wheelchair and others not so much. There is a ramp to get down to dock for swimming but I am not sure if there is a lift to get in and out of the water. The whole area requires a noodle as the water is over six feet deep. There are steps on the side of the dock that might work. The park is beautiful and definitely worth a visit. Thanks for watching and I hope you get to visit this area soon!

    When I was a kid, we lived in Ocala in 1980, and used to go to Rainbow Springs all the time. That water was so cold that I kept my shirt on when I went in.

      Yeah springs can feel cold. 72 degrees all year round. We wear our sun shirts which keep us warm and less sunburn.

      We had a good time at this Spring. It can be kind of a hard one to get into though. We went on weekday while school was in session. I have been told weekends you have to be there early like before 7am because once they hit capacity they close the park. The KP hole park is right next to it and another way to tube the river. Thank you for watching!

    Hi How are you im planning to go tomorrow But i Have a quick questions Do they Give limited tikets To go Inside of the park ? please let me know and what time should we need to get there??? and do they have chairs and tables ? or we need to take some chairs?

      Hello we are good! How are you? With Rainbow River on the weekends, for the Headspring they said they open at 8am. I would get there around that time or maybe a little earlier as a just in case. They said they reach capacity between 8-9am. For the tubing area they said you should get there before 8am. Tubing ends Sept 30. There are 2 entrances to the park and they do not connect. Once each hit capacity you can't enter that entrance. As for chairs, there are a few pavilions which are first come first serve I think. There is not a lot of chairs but there is a field area where you could set up. Near the swimming area is a bench. Last thing the water is 10 ft. You will need a noodle. They do not allow floats just noodles and lifejackets for the kids. Hope you get in and have fun! It is an amazing park!

    How busy is it in late Nov?

    • @FloridaandBeyond
      @FloridaandBeyond  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The colder it is outside the less people visit. Tubing opens in April. Thanks for watching!

      @@FloridaandBeyond Can you tell me is it normally too cold at that time to enjoy any of it? Or is worth it to go anyways at that time?

    • @FloridaandBeyond
      @FloridaandBeyond  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@02theang Florida has unpredictable weather. It can be cold at that time or 80 degrees. Water stays 72 degrees all year round.

    It sounds like I should always have a beach bag and floaties in my car at all times so I'm ready for some fun at any given time.

      Lol we have pool noodles in our truck as a just in case. Springs are deep and you get tired fast from swimming. It sounds like you have the list of essentials for your car 🤣

    Was the boat at the end of the video allowed near the swimming pool area?

    • @FloridaandBeyond
      @FloridaandBeyond  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is a park ranger. They watch the swimmers in case there is any trouble plus to make sure everyone is following the rules. They are kind of like a lifeguard. You are not allowed to have big boat like that near the swimming area.

    Nice video. What do you mean most weekends are difficult for entry? Is there a limit as to how many people they let in the park?

    • @FloridaandBeyond
      @FloridaandBeyond  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Over the summer more people head to the springs on the weekends and the parking lots are only so big. If you want to visit them during the hot months you have to get there at opening time. I have seen people be turned away because the park was full. We are checking out some springs this week on weekdays and are still a little nervous that we will be turned away. Hot weather brings lots of people to these places unfortunately.

      I just realized this is the rainbow river video. Rainbow river is notorious for being at capacity by 8am on the weekends.

    Can you drink the water there?

    • @FloridaandBeyond
      @FloridaandBeyond  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Water there is safe. Our drinking water comes from spring areas. It is filtered before going to someone's house.
