people need to stop worrying about the zombie apocalypse that's never going to happen and start worrying about the idiot apocalypse that's already upon us.
You mean AOC and her 4 million Twitter followers AREN'T the Zombie Apocalypse-? 'Cause like, I was kinda thinking the Second Seal was broken when that horse-faced harlot of Babylon started flapping her crimson red harlot lips.
Please don't take things wrong, I'm only trying to help. A little tip for using airsoft guns in movies. Mix some led shot and putty or clay, pull the gun apart and fill it full. With it being much heaver actors won't need to act like they are and will make them look much more realistic wile filming. About 1.5 lbs for handguns and 8.0 lbs for rifles. Take a look at 4:53 she holds the rifle with one hand like it's made of plastic then points it at her leg, she knows it's not real and treats as such. I did enjoy the movie and look forward to more.
Lots of picky negative comments. Its better than most I have seen. People expect characters to be perfect, make no mistakes. Perfection makes for a boring movie. Mistakes are human and believeable. Its better than anything I could produce.
This is actually, the second time I've watched this... and I caught something this time, I hadn't notice in the first viewing. This video was done by DA (Douglas Anderson School of the Arts) which, both my younger sisters were students at when we lived in Jax. Loved it, the way you filmed the zombies attacking and their sounds was better than the walking dead. Great job, would love to see a full picture by you.
If this was done on a budget of $200, this was outstanding. Had typical zombie feel, but had sympathetic characters and realistically brutal decision making.
1) real weapons have recoil 2) she's been out a year and finally the ammo runs out 3) she's been out a year, stayed alive, but lacks recon skills 4) the guy in-supply has blood on his face 5) she actually hits her target while both a) running and b) turning around to do it.
I have to say I am a VERY strict critic when it comes to any of the post apocalyptic films I see but this was very well done, sure there were details that were obviously overlooked but without a million+ dollar budget & years to complete I doubt many could have done a better job 👍
Not bad for such a low budget. The scenes were well shot with good angles and the young lady gave a believable performance. Special effects werent bad considering you werent using real blanks.Overall very well done. Look forward to watching your future film projects if you choose to make more. Also I have to say in a true apocalypse situation and your gun is selective fire Dont fire on full-automatic or burst mode. You have to fire on semi-automatic to make every shot count because ammo will be scarce, lol. I had to mention it. Stay Awesome.

I liked it !!! Complete story for a change !!!!!!! I get so tired of vague, mysterious endings that are supposed to show how enlightened / philosophically nuanced the film maker is, for his psychologically elusive hidden meanings ......... which actually means he probably just ran out of budget , and rolled credits , while people praise him for his astounding intuitive insight.................
So...her face has mud smears...but her white shirt is relatively clean. And her hair is nice and clean, waves in the breeze. Not dirty and greasy and stringy as if...well...it was the Zombie Apocalypse and she's been wandering the wasteland for so long. In fact, nice clean white pickup truck, too! Looks like everything white stays clean in the ZA! Gosh- I love it when film makers pay artention to details! Seriously...watch THE ROAD for a lesson in realistic costumes and hygiene post apocalyptic scemarios. As is, the girls' clothes are cleaner looking than 90% of the homeless people I see in modern cities with all modern amenities available.
stopped at 2:10....must comment on these low budget post-apoc films. everything is too clean! other than the blood on their faces, which amazingly did not make it to their white shirts, they are spotless. new clothes, backpack and gun. don't get me wrong, i'm not a troll, it is just annoying to see this over and over again. so here is a bit of advice for all you future post-apoc film makers. take everything the actors will be wearing or using and get it really dirty. rough it up a bit. this cost little to nothing. hell, you could just go to a thrift store/garage sales and get old items. then tell the actors to not shower for a few days before filming. doing this will make your films so much more realistic. like i said, i'm not a troll....thank you for the hard work.
Matthew Manyak did a excellent job on writing & directing this film, his lead actress Brittney Paul did a excellent job on acting.. also Camera quality was excellent..
Being a Walking Dead fan, this was intriguing. I like when she looked at the map; Jacksonville, Florida. At least the actual city was shown. The empty streets at the end looked like the Northside.
There are a lot of negative comments, but I think it was well done. You can dirty up the actress and clothes a bit, it wouldn't hurt the effect and it wouldn't cost any money, but other than that, pretty well done. Good story.
Excellent job, With the female lead, thought you would have played the gender-bending role. And you did not. You played it real and it realistically showed on camera. Very good job with this short.
Ronn Sven Thank you so much! I certainly wanted to go for realism and not an overplayed dramatized version of what an audience might normally expect from a zombie short film. I'm glad that it achieved this result!

YESSSS!!! One of my high school's cafeteria ladies got capped at 5:14 to 5:16. It's only fitting that she was fated to craving and devouring human flesh.
Awsome , 2 big thumbs up. Thank you.
You have to love it when she writes in the diary that the ammo is almost gone, then uses bursts of full auto on zombies a minute later.
Camera work just amazing. Acting credible. Thanks to all involved for the few minutes of entertainment.
Really good!! Enjoyed more than most 2hr movies!!👍👍
people need to stop worrying about the zombie apocalypse that's never going to happen and start worrying about the idiot apocalypse that's already upon us.
You mean AOC and her 4 million Twitter followers AREN'T the Zombie Apocalypse-?
'Cause like, I was kinda thinking the Second Seal was broken when that horse-faced harlot of Babylon started flapping her crimson red harlot lips.
Loved it!! I hope you guys make part 2
Great movie. All actors and actresses were spot on. Thanks for sharing it.
That's a pretty good idea. Thank you for the recommendation!
Great film with beautiful actresses that can act very great!
I enjoyed this. Great job to everyone involved!
Good short. Straight up original and the acting was straight. Keep up the good work!!👍👍👍
Lots of picky negative comments. Its better than most I have seen. People expect characters to be perfect, make no mistakes. Perfection makes for a boring movie. Mistakes are human and believeable. Its better than anything I could produce.
This is great work! Thanks
Nice touch with the ending, finding a cure. Well done short film.
Great Film. Heavy. Well Done
This is actually, the second time I've watched this... and I caught something this time, I hadn't notice in the first viewing. This video was done by DA (Douglas Anderson School of the Arts) which, both my younger sisters were students at when we lived in Jax. I was really tickled to see a familiar name associated with this project and showed it to the younger of the two sisters... it gave her a BIG smile to see it also. Anyway, really good work y'all!! Keep it up!! 😁
For a zombie short film, this is very good. Just might give The Walking Dead a run for the money. Great work. Well written and acted.
Very nice job. That was great!
Took me a minute to realize it wasn’t Enid from the walking dead.😁
This is the first post-apocalyptic film to feature a skipping zombie. Around 15:30. The only way you can top that is with a hula-hooping zombie.
I really enjoy the post apocalyptic and apocalyptic films... Your film really impressed me... most of those i have seen are just not that great... I will be watching for you on the big screen.. ty for sharing your work with us... btw anything new you might be working on.. would love to know so I can see it..
Thank you Sherry! Making it big in the film world has always been my dream and I am so happy that this film comes across as a success!

Good film everyone great job to all who participated
I knew it was NE Florida before she found the map, Hannah Park was the giveaway. Awesome job 🤘😎🤘
Discount Enid
Meme Recycler good one!!!
I like the way that the roas have remained so super clean and weed-free despite the absence of traffic.
She Had A Fully Automatic SBR! Wow!!! Most Civilians Don't Have Them And They Definitely Waste Tons Of Ammo!!! Excellent Work!!! I Definitely Support Indie Film Makers! Keep Up The Great Work!
I've so far watched about 6 min of this video, its fusging awesome! great job :3
Edit: The video was amazing.
aww man.. i've always wanted to create an apocalypse short film but i don't have actors, it's too few :c
When she has to kill the zombie with the railroad spike, that’s when a pair of assassins creed hidden blades would come in handy.
Loved it, the way you filmed the zombies attacking and their sounds was better than the walking dead. Great job, would love to see a full picture by you.
pretty darn good. thanks for the film.
Why can't zombies use their arms and can't run worth a shit? Such a strange affliction.
So good! Finnaly a good end on these films!
World War Z ended positively.
@@gunabaphie3045...
Yes... even if it was propaganda to bolster confidence/trust in the United Nations.
Steve Hicks you’re obviously not a VERY strict critic then.
This was actually one the best i have ever seen!
Nice film. It actually made sense, which is unusual for the genre of short films.
At least they still have Moleskine notebooks... and some fine young cannibals.
this is so good this film made me feel like I was in it hop you guys can make more
Not bad for such a low budget.
Yeah, finally one with a happy ending, good job on short movie !
That full auto airsoft rifle that never opens its ejection port port and never ejects brass also never runs out of ammo. I need one of those things.
anyone else find the voices are too low? watching on my laptop at max no plugs tho
sorry shudda waited b4 posting but it was hard to hear in the back of the truck...or maybe i need my ears checked....lol
Lord knows who in hell gives these movies awards! Like, for real?
Even with a low budget sir this was truly amazing you should feel proud of yourself
What to c a good one!! We Sit , we Drink, no Guns. its the best ive seen.
She must have shampoo and conditioner in her bug out bag.
I noticed right away: the perfect hair, the white shirt without a stain, the blank diary and the subtle make-up.
James Hooker I carry dry shampoo that's mixed with lice lotion in all 3 of my bugout bags
yup the first thing I noticed when the movie started, couldn't have been that hard to simply not wash your hair for a couple of days beforehand..
Her rifle looks like it came straight out of the box.
Every girl has shampoo, conditioner, and a hair-dryer in her bug-out bag...ever been camping with one?
This was so great!!! Very well done! 👏 👏
Nice work, thanks for the upload
When somebody comes to rescue you , you don t ask who she is . You say hello and thank you .
Even during a post apocalyptic event , we will still hold to our guns dearly.
GREAT SHORT FILM--MAKE MORE --GOOD LUCK ON YOUR CAREERS
stopped at 2:10....must comment on these low budget post-apoc films. everything is too clean! other than the blood on their faces, which amazingly did not make it to their white shirts, they are spotless. new clothes, backpack and gun. don't get me wrong, i'm not a troll, it is just annoying to see this over and over again. so here is a bit of advice for all you future post-apoc film makers. take everything the actors will be wearing or using and get it really dirty. rough it up a bit. this cost little to nothing. hell, you could just go to a thrift store/garage sales and get old items. then tell the actors to not shower for a few days before filming. doing this will make your films so much more realistic. like i said, i'm not a troll....thank you for the hard work.
Good story.
I expect they all had fun and learned from doing this.
Keep at it
This was great Good Job Loved It.
Nice film but drop the machine gun weapon. Semi auto is realistic and smart, Burst or auto is fake and waste of ammo
Except in a Large Group, 100 yds or less . . . bullet goes THRU one guy, hits the guy "Behind" him !.
@@montanabulldog9687 ...
The "zombie movie norm" is... only head shots kill.
@@bobinthewest8559 The SAME RULE "Would Apply" . . . just AIM HIGHER !
Awesome Better then a lot of shorts I've seen NICELY done :)
Too many con-trails in the sky. Don't fire on auto unless your going down. But great job on a "low" budget, keep it up.
using full auto on zombies is just a waste of ammo which will be in short supply
I saw a contrail once in a John Wayne western.
I think you mean Chem trails
Chemtrail
If she would take the gun off of full auto and aim, she would save ammo.
Nice stuff, good actress and very pretty
The lead character has some glorious hair....
Lots of hair conditioner in that backpack.
No ammo or water, though.
Maybe she should have squirted conditioner into the zombie's eyes?!
😜😂😂😂
