New client/fast response/parts available/repair made/back in service/return tomorrow to service entire unit: priceless! Happy client = 💰💰💰💰 Just looked up the control board price: 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳
No matter the business, the same adage rings true: Build your relationship with the client. Make them happy. Get it done quick, thorough and correct. They tell their friends. Word of mouth is worth orders of magnitude more than some flashy commercial or advertisement. Excellent as always.
I have been a plumber in the service industry for 38 now years and I still get that warm fuzzy feeling of getting the job done and a happy customer. You can usually guess what equipment people have in there homes by the area and era the house was built. Having the parts in your truck.....Priceless !.
Hey Mr Pipes, I watch your channel every day keep up the good work! After 40+ years as a licensed HVAC guy across the pond in Ct. Kids are so spoiled with all the cordless press tools drills, saws etc. no more dragging a 300 three legged bastard around while getting screamed at by the boss Rolling up miles of cord every day. Two hundred pound generators. Hows Frankie gonna build muscle? Spoiled kids these days 😂
Hey Mikey Pipes. I can tell once you were referred by his friend he got on UTube. This further solidified his decision to call the right technician. Excellent video.
Great video clip Mikey!! I am the friend who referred your client to you. A question: Is it OK to replace a SAGE 2.1 Controller with a SAGE 2.3 without the need to change anything else in an Alpine 150? In other words - simply remove the failing 2.1 and replace it with a 2.3?
Hey Mikey, a customer of mine had another plumber install one of these, I was like what kind? He was like a Navian I was like… 🤦♂️ .. well at least they have good customer service. Is this the newer one that supposedly they fixed the engineering problem? I told him look up Mikey pipes Navien leaks. 😉 It was : NPE-240A2-NG. Is there a Mikey Pipes video on this model?
Not only that, but the relationship could benefit you both in the future, should you need video surveillance when you grow your company. Or other things you just can't predict yet.
Good stuff Mike. I still like those Alpine despite the expensive controller. Simple on the inside, easy to work on, and a welded stainless HX. Navien should just fire their engineers and copy it.
@@Chris-hr4ly All I do is boiler work all day everyday. Maybe they make good residential appliances, but Burnham is definitely not the first choice here in the southeast. Reason being is the unreliability. Their fire tube boilers are terrible as well. The residential market is definitely their strongest.
My acquaintances call me the bypassed king but get pissed when I won't show them how and where lol (side note I'm not a professional or contractor so yes i sleep very well at night with a conscence- bypassing is an emergency temporary reaction to anotherwise improbably remedy )
Nice job Mikey Pipes
Ty
You have the best crews you should be proud they retain what you teach them God bless take care

Standard practice for most service companies is to charge for a return trip with parts.
Mikey, I love making people happy fixing things community, I now live in FL, my dream one day work under you

12:37 there's flip side to that coin. No wife, AWESOME LIFE!
Awesome video. ! Followed your process to a tee before. And helped me with my issue. Burnham really should put a inline fuse in their units .

Nice work Mike....How much did that cost the owner?....I bet it was a whopper ...Those sage controllers are pricey.
Channel. Rule we do not discuss pricing.

Awesome video, I'm a new subscriber
@@PipeDoctor of course, thanks for the videos
That's a Sola board, Cleaver Brooks Falcon and many others us it , all made by honeywell. Works very well when it's working tho.
Video starts off with full throttle lol
Thats why they call it a "BURNham"
The sluts of the boiler industry. 😂
Burnham make on of the best cast iron boilers , their high efficiency boilers are actually pretty good.
