The whole story reminds me of how I used to play populous games. just building up magnificient world, and then stomping on the enemy after I was bored, or tired. ps1 demo disk was whole other story, because it either bugged cheats on sometimes, or there really was some cheat code that i was able to replicate multiple times. Few of those bugs/cheats happened in the evenings and those were the first late night games I played. All the spells, buildings, classes/jobs for the followers were so interesting, with air balloons and boats in the mix. Populous: the Beginning, my childhood love of a game. Mare plays out bit like that shaman from the game. I only knew before my pc that there were blue, red, and yellow shamans. Couldn't identify their gender then, but later found out they were shaman women with shaman masks. Still I love it. Priests and fire men were the best classes imo, also spy was fun, as they could go to enemy side, and burn houses, but they would lose their disguise.
