I not only provide lineups/goalscorers/etc, but I also try to add anecdotes, facts and trivia pertaining to the match in question.
Kenny Dalglish's joy after scoring a goal was one the greatest sights in football.
I was at this game as a 15 year old. The halcyon days of the home internationals.
This was the first ever international I attended. I vividly remember standing behind the goal in the Celtic end when Rioch triedthe step over after missing the pen. I remember the crowd was massive. I think it was close to 110,000 in the ground, although that was never the official attendance as there was always a bit of creative accountancy at the turnstiles between punters and the cashiers - no tickets in these days.
Probably the first international game I ever watched.
Loved those huge hampden goals.
The late, great Hugh Johns commentating.
Great scotish midfielders. Great mu of talent, skills and world class.
3rd goal is sublime.
This was a "home" game for Northern Ireland. Scotland would not play in Belfast in that era. I was in the small stand, facing the Main Stand and high above the terracing for that game.
Next like and thanks from country Azerbaijan
Was at this with my Dad.I'd have been 9 yo at the time.Wullie Pettigrew up front.Jennings with no gloves.
I was in bed with a heavy cold and missed this, also missed the England game.
Great players for Scotland sadly those days are gone now and we have mediocrity
Alex Anderson what position does he play?
2:03 The ref looks weirdly modern with his close-cropped hair & stubble.....
Dae ye fancy him? 😂😂😂
Proper team then 🏴
I was at the game aged 12.
What the hell did the referee give at the penalty? Can't be offiside and Rioch didn't touch it twice before another player.
Scotland best team ever
