Your experience as a Cameroonian is pretty much the same feeling when you come from DRC. Kenya is by far better organized and the people less edgy than in Douala or Kinshasa. However this thing about Uber and Bolt for me is good and bad at the same time. I was in Kenya two weeks ago and had to rely on my friends phone to get an Uber. I found it annoying not being able to get a taxi in the street whereas I could in Europe. But since the country is very organized I hope they will build sky train or metro which will put Nairobi further ahead of Central or Western Africa cities

Plantain is planted at the coast region in Kwale to be specific. We call them ndizi za mkono wa tembo ama ndizi za kiume but they aren't planted at a large scale but Just for subsistence. So saying that they aren't in the country is a lie. We have been eating them from childhood. However most of the plantains Found in Nairobi come from Tanzania

@@beyawamwenyee thanks for the info, but you agree that the amount planted is insignificant and that most Kenyans don't know what plantain is. Those who've seen it , the coast apart, must've seen them in the supermarket.

Majority of Kenyan middle class eat plantain. It's a common snack in most clubs. However, we don't plant them here, we get most of our supplies from Tanzania hence the Reason why they are expensive and out of reach for many except in coast. God to most middle class clubs in Nairobi and ask for plantain. It's commonly served but we don't grow it in most part of Kenya

Greet the plantain and go back to the house 🤣🤣.
For the plantain, in the western part of the country it's cheaper because it's commonly planted there and also close to Uganda where it's in plenty.
