I have a separate bank account; I earned that money that money is mine to do with whatever I want and she knows that too. If/when we go out on vacations we split it.

It is often the case that those who choose bad partners are usually unhealed themselves. Similarity breeds liking. Both were broken individuals (perhaps for different reasons) and smelled each other from a mile away.
Before dating, one should heal their mental issues and childhood traumas otherwise the likelihood of finding a damaged individual and/or ending up in failed relationships is very high.
Someone who still has bad addictions like pron or gambling, lacks sacrificial love, disordered immoral values ,or financial issues like debt should never marry until they heal from those first. For most it takes the grace of God to be free.
