I just bought 2 very original savage .25s from marketplace for $160. They came with new bodies, too, and a bunch of new and used but good spare parts. After some tinkering I have one ruinning like new and looking great! Giving that one to one of my boys for his Bday. I just cleaned the other one up and I'm waiting for a new pull start. I think both are runners based on how the engine comp feels by hand. This was by far the best used deal I've ever found for used RC cars.
Hope it shifts. I have a previous gen 4.6 and like a lot of peoples mine is stuck in second gear so no wheelies. The set screw is a little a skew so I can get a driver in to adjust it. Just need to fund the time to removed the transmission so I can start making an adjustment. I loved my Savage 25. Miss that beast.

The steering servo on mine died after about 10 min of running.
Y'all should let me take that Savage and put it through a durability test.. lol

the gearbox will explode, remove and loctite all internal screws in gearbox, they haven't fixed it.

They are both over priced. I wished they started them both with a 4 as the price point because I wanted HPI to sell a lot of them.
