After 10 years disease, on both eyes, I am since 2 years fluid-free. What did I do? I focused on homocysteine, which is correlated to CSR. Then I added all the molecules with low side effects and hints of efficacy. So I did this:
    1) You need to stop worrying. Avoid stress, which is anything that makes your heart rush when you are scared of something. Scary movies and thrillers, video games are not good.
    2) Avoid alcohol and caffeine. Tea is ok.
    3) Avoid corticosteroids and antihistamines products (nose decongestants).
    4) Avoid strenuous exercise, prefer lighter, more frequent activities.
    5) Do not fast. Low calories diets are ok, bust fasting increases cortisol.
    6) Do mediation, regularly.
    7) Get plenty of sleep. No alarm, natural wake up.
    8) Monitor your homocysteine, and if high, lower it.
    9) When fluid is there, avoid strong light. Light can stress the retina, and if fluid is there the retina is weaker You can patch your eye, it might help.
    10) Fluid in the center, as in your case, might start to cause irreversible damage already after 2 months. If you are over 1 month into symptoms, you might want to find a retinologist able to do PDT or micropulse. In expert hands, they are also good for leaks over the center.
Now, a “cocktail” which is scientifically based, with some potential efficacy and no or little side effects could be:
    -low dose aspirin 1x day
-Melatonin up to 3mg, twice a day.
-Phosphatidylserine 150mg twice per day. Several studies showes it prevents cortisol peaks, it will protect you from acute stress.
    -Vitamin B6 (25-50mg), B9 (600-800micrograms), B12 (50-400micrograms) once per day to lower homocysteine. (See iubmb.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/iub.2507 )
    -Omega 3 2000mg twice a day.
-vitamin A and vitamin E (RDA).
You might also add acetylcisteine (to further lower homocysteine) and L-theanin (200mg) to further lower cortisol peaks.
Try to discuss with you doctor, and if there isn’t any problem, you might give all this a try.
It will not take the disease away, you are still vulnerable, you still need to take care. For me it worked, but the disease is quite different from person to person, so it might not work for you, but give to this at least 3-6 months.

@@ttx688 yes, I do not see any difference. But be aware that I had fluid on the center in 10 years only twice and never more than 3 months. Still this led to slight light decrease and slight horizontal micropsia (I see things slightly thinner). My brain compensate very well. But I do not know what would have happened with longer presence of fluid in the center.

Hello brother, how are you doing now? I have had this disease for two years. It disappeared and came back again. I went to the doctor and he said to me, “We cannot do anything for you unless it continues for more than four months.” I cut off bread, sugar, and rice more than two months ago, but the same thing appeared again after recovery. Fifteen days. Can you advise me whether taking these vitamins is good for you? Thank you, please. If you can answer

I've had all.of that, cold laser you speak of. I've had this in my left eye since I was 25. I'm now 55 and it has never gone away in my left, and sometimes the right eye has bouts of it too. Horrifying, terrible disease.

My doctor gave a prescription for Spironolactone for inactive CSR (no fluid). You might ask your Dr about that. Since you're a female, it shouldn't affect you. Its used as a "sex change" drug that reduces testosterone in men, in addition to treating high blood pressure and heart disease. It does a lot of different things.

I got this disease 20 years ago. I am a female. At the time I was about 48 years old and in perfect health. I got the disease in both eyes. In my left eye I see a large gray circle right in my central vision. In my right eye the gray area is off to the side. If you have this disease, once the fluid stops leaking, it leaves a permanent scar messing up your vision. Because the scar in my left eye is in my central vision, I see darker with that eye. I was told there was nothing that could be done about it. I have never had anything for it. I just live with the scars.

I am actually getting my procedure done on Monday morning. My vision in my right eye has improved little by little but certain colors are still a little crazy for me to look at when I do a self vision test. Im just glad that the worst part of it is finally over which is the initial pain I had in my right eye after it happened. It wasn't like a stabbing pain but more of a pressure pain and it was maddening to live like that. Its been a little over a month now and I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

I hope your procedure went well? Was it cold laser? Are you in the US? I'm in the UK and they are telling me there's a global shortage of visudyne. They said the US had pre-ordered the first two years worth of supply, so I guess the US must have access to it now. Which hopefully means they can treat me in a few years time.

Can anyone explain why there is a global shortage of Visudyne? My CSR can't be treated because of the shortage and my distortion is getting bad. Internet says if left untreated it WILL lead to permanent vision loss.
They gave me anti-vegf injections for 4 years and they always helped with the metamorphopsia, (they thought I had wet MD) now they say it's CSR (after an angiogram) they say the injections won't work, but I understand that the injections ARE used to reduce the fluid in CSR so I feel like I'm being gaslit. They always asked if I thought the injections were working and I always said yes. If I didn't think they were working I wouldn't have subjected myself to them!

Ive got "inactive" CSR on both eyes. No fluid, YET. But I see purple/whitish spots off to the side of my central vision. The visibility of these spots depends on inside or outside, lighting, all kinds of factors. My doctor gave me Spironolactone. Its a pill that has many uses, one being for this in the eyes. Its also used in the beginning stages for men who want to be women. It reduces testosterone production and can possibly cause moobs to grow. Im being serious, not trying to be funny. You might ask your retina doctor about it. Im only on day 2 of this drug and he said it takes a month or 2 to work and show results.
