I have chronic CSR, first showed up in 2019, and it caused permanent retina damage in 2022. It has just come back again this month - Using red light therapy, avoiding alcohol, sleeping 8 hours, exercise seems to help! But even if I avoid the leak that returns, I still have distorted vision in both eyes, looking for a cure for the retina damage.
Is it too late to fix this problem? Should I be driving with a bad right eye? I was diagnosed many years ago and have been on the healthy keto diet, plus doing some intermittent fasting. I go at least 14 hours between dinner and breakfast. I started taking Norwegian cod liver oil about 2 months ago. I also take D3/K2 and tocotrienols
I hope your eye is better at this point, months later. I was just diagnosed w this two days ago in my left eye. It’s so frustrating seeing this flashing disc appear esp when I blink, and I’m also concerned w my vision as now it is slightly obstructed. I will be seeing a retina specialist doctor in a couple weeks. I really hope this goes away on its own.
@@sagbeach1 The first time I got it, it did go away. When stress and lack of sleep became severe, it came back and not cured, since 2015. Also, my keto is just beginning again, after a troubled holiday. I was pretty good, but after moving, I think I ate too much protein and fat. Too much protein can raise insulin. I am highly insulin resistant. This may have contributed to my issues. But everyday that I only slept about 4/5 hours, I woke feeling worse, until it became a real issue. Get your sleep, somehow. Figure it out!😬
Did fasting help? I'm considering doing a 3 day water fast. A TH-camr I follow cured a recurring heat rash by doing this. Although, I'm not sure if it's a good idea to fast when I'm on medication that dehydrates me
@@Boom-tn8kp Though some recommend a water fast, [ or are you talking, waterless fast?], I wouldn't recommend it in your case. I got away from fasting, 14 hours is a real fast that many people don't do. I at least do that. I was losing weight on the intermittent fasting, but got off track when family came to visit, partially because I had just done about 5 days of OMAD, one meal a day. That goofed me up. I am elderly and lost muscle. Many of my problems went away during the short time, maybe 5 months that I did I. F. So, my case is not a good one to determine if it helps the eyes. I am now on 3 meals a day, 5 days a week, alternating with 2 meals. Beginning again. I am eating some carbs, healthy carbs is my goal, but if I eat Tuna, I have it with noodles. I am trying cooking potatoes and rice and freezing the rice before using it. I refrigerate the potatoes before making hash browns, next day. Hope that helps my sugars. Bottom line is, junk food will quickly mess you us and CAUSE dehydration. Water follows sugar. I mean, water will pool in my legs and other areas. I use fresh squeezed organic lemons and a pinch of Celtic salt. This helps to re-hydrate.
@@sagbeach1 Mine went away the first time, when I was in my 50's. You would think I would learn my lesson, but stress and sleeplessness is not always under our control. How are you, now? I did not keep up with the total program of fasting. See my other answer to Boom...

Have you found anything that has helped?
Still there is no proper treatment CSCR in2024
Has anyone taken opiates for a long period before getting CSR? That's the only thing I can think of that caused mine.
