@@seanmahon4738 In fairness mate, it’s not beyond realistic to acknowledge our squad’s quality/talent after watching these players week in week out and perform to a consistent top 4 level 2nd half of the season. So it’s natural for us to expect more this season, especially with imo, a coach with a more suited philosophy and style with our group of players that crave experience/chemistry together after looking like individuals last season, even in the good form. I’m excited and positive for the new season, if you’re not then fair enough lad.

To be honest I'd be more concerned if Matterface was tipping Chelsea for top 4 this season. Darragh MacAnthony talks a lot of sense. I'm certain Chelsea will get at least top 4 this season. From what I've seen of Marseca on the training pitch he certainly knows what he wants from his players. My only concern is that there is a play B, C etc if things aren't going to plan on the pitch. Ranieri used to get criticised for tinkering but personally I want my manager/coach to tinker if things aren't going well. If Southgate had tinkered more then England could well have won the Euros.

I can’t stand matterface and Alex crook when they talk about anything other than united. Matterface suggesting Chelsea only did well at the end of the season because they played the same eleven is the most stupid argument😂 Chelsea also had the most injuries by far last season and have decent players which are almost new signings. They definitely do have a very young squad but they will only get better compared with previous seasons as they are all more experienced. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are right near the top but I don’t see them having the quality to beat Man City and arsenal over the whole season

No sign of a good striker coming in, signing more toddlers who are not ready, Enzo pissing off half the squad, another new manager and players being sold for psr rules...Still a massive lack of experience in the squad, we definitely need a striker and we're short in goal...which is mad when we've spent a billion quid! 🤣

We played great football last year bar defensively being toothless but there was quality in our style of play, once we get more stability in terms of defending I can see us push for top 4 from start to finish in the season .

I personally don't think having another number 9 is required, wasn't Nkunku signed fo that reason? Jackson ended last season really well and outscored the forwards at Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool bar Salah. We can all see the players are quality and extra year will mean they'll develop further, top four is very achievable.
I think Enzo Maresca's style of play is more fitted to premier league football, Championship isn't used to that style of football imo. I think if the players can adapt and learn this new style I believe we can easily get top 4

Chelsea had record injuries last seapn playing a style of football that doesnt suit the squad and still only just missed out on top 4. If they had won 1 more game last season, they would have finished 4th.

It's really frustrating to hear the discourse around Chelsea's signings. Including Kellyman and Guiu into the list of first team signings is wide of the mark. Nobody expected City to play Kayky when they signed him as a teenager, nor was he ever included in any evaluation of City's spending.
Chelsea have signed Tosin, KDH and Veiga as first-teamers. It's not difficult to look at a signing and come to a logical conclusion whether or not they're getting a squad number.

I love Chalobah but it’s the same conversation over Cobham graduates every single time, just because they’re from Cobham. Truth is none of them were good enough otherwise they wouldn’t be sold. Mount, CHO, Loftus Cheek, Lewis Hall etc. were all right decisions to be sold.
Contracts are contracts. If a club doesn't wanna play a player cos they want to sell. That's their perogative, player doesn't have to agree a deal elsewhere and can't be forced either... But it's not disrespect from either. In the end the only thing they have to, both player and club... Is uphold the contract signed. After that no one owes anyone anything. Whether he plays or not chalobah is contracted to Chelsea and must follow what their plan is regarding playing time and their plans. He just can't be forced into any deal. If he doesn't wanna go anywhere, he will stay won't he. Chelsea will have to choose to utilise him or let the contract end.
Well Sam Mattaface, man city and the rest should be thankful it was only the last 6/7 games if the season they came good, otherwise they'd have won the league

As a Chelsea fan, I would never turn my back on supporting the club that I have grown up with through childhood as it is like a religion - in my view.
But it has been clear since Roman was ousted out that this fradulent ownership have done nothing but inflict misery upon misery at the club, signing players on stupid contracts totalling up to a decade, focusing on famous celebrities attending matches, destroying the Academy and forcing out homegrown talent who have been developed at the club and disregarding challenging for trophies. The heart, identity and passion for this football club is no longer there. I don't see Chelsea getting back to where they should be unless Clownlake and Bohely are forced out of the club and a different ownership that is not American takes over.
American owners know nothing about English football and their vision and ideas of the game, do not reflect the opinions of football fans in the UK and they will never ever be won over. Bohely and Clearlake need to sell up and go home and carry out their mess in 🇺🇸.
